Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 675 - 308: Swamp Fishermen
The Sound of Dawn circled the edge of the lush green swamp, moving at an unusually slow pace. Everyone on the deck gazed at the nearby marshland.
"So, where should we land?" Jason asked, looking around.
Landing in this Sea of Moisture was completely different from ordinary islands. They had to think carefully before acting cautiously.
Alka raised his hand, and a map appeared in his palm. He unfolded the map and looked at the area of the Spiritual Land. Although the map was enormous, it ultimately resembled a world map. It didn’t provide detailed markings for the smaller islands within the area.
However, fortunately, the map’s creation involved the Holy Mother Church. Thus, the information on the Spiritual Land area was quite comprehensive, clearly marking out the existence of safe islands in this region with drawings. The locations and the distances between them were specified.
The most obscure area was the Life and Death Boundary. There was nothing there, only a few outer locations were marked. The Land of Jade was better off compared to the Life and Death Boundary, but not by much.
Currently, the only ones still passionately exploring this Sea of Moisture were the adventurers and scholars of the Holy Machine Church. The high mortality rate in this area had scared off too many people.
They looked at the islands of the Spiritual Land. Since they came from the Life and Death Boundary, they could precisely identify their current area; they were, without a doubt, at the boundary.
After taking a look, Alka pointed to a clearly marked island on the map. "Let’s go here first."
According to predictions, this island should be the closest to their current location.
Chadite, who had been watching nearby, nodded upon hearing Alka’s words.
Alka then addressed everyone, "We’re preparing to land. Everyone, get ready. This time, no one stays on the ship."
The range of the Sea of Moisture was too vast; once they ventured deep inside, it would be difficult for the Sound of Dawn to offer any support. Entwining vines restricted her movements; the Sound of Dawn needed only to remain on the periphery of the Sea of Moisture, maintaining a certain speed and moving along its edges, always staying in the direction closest to them. Circling the periphery was at least safe, without having to worry about the Sound of Dawn suffering any irreversible damage. After all, it was a Ghost Ship, with its own intelligence.
After Alka finished speaking, everyone began preparing. The Sea of Moisture was incomparable to other islands; even the largest islands were nowhere near its size. The Sea of Moisture’s area was comparable to that of a continent, so they had to bring ample supplies. This was to prevent running out of food and other necessities midway due to unfamiliar terrain. The size of the Pocket Ring was limited.
The preparations didn’t take long.
About two hours later, the Sound of Dawn slowly docked at the edge of the Sea of Moisture. Once docked, it was clear that the Sea of Moisture was in motion.
The hatch at the bow opened, and the Feiyan sailed out from inside. A large ship was not feasible, but this kind of long, narrow boat was completely fine. Designed with speed in mind, the Spell on board allowed it to remain afloat without sinking too deep even with a certain load. However, the boat’s space was limited, and the Puppet Knight Order occupied a significant portion of it. It carried some supplies, but not much, mainly as a form of camouflage.
Chadite sat at the bow, faint silver ripples extending from her position down into the water, exploring the surrounding environment through the boat’s bottom.
Pororo, Matilda, and Julia walked directly in the swamp. Underneath the verdant vines, the slightly eerie green seawater reached about their thighs. Some areas couldn’t bear much weight, sometimes causing them to sink deeper, even up to their chests and abdomens. In shallower regions, the boat had to navigate around them because the water there barely came up to the calves.
Julia directly transformed her legs back into a fishtail. This allowed the three marine races to move at a decent pace in the seawater, arguably more freely, easily catching up with the Feiyan. This place was not a vast ocean, so the Feiyan could not travel at full speed freely. It could only maintain a slow speed, slightly faster than a running pace.
Besides Chadite, only Jason, Juanlu, and Alka were still on the boat.
Simon was aboard a large patrol aircraft, a construct he had just created. With just enough space for him, he hovered about seven to eight meters above the sea on this specially designed flying platform. However, its design and some aspects were not particularly ingenious, resulting in a not very high flight altitude. Nevertheless, with Treasure control, it could achieve extreme breakthroughs, so it was still quite practical for him personally.
Above everyone hovered six Sentry Patrol Planes, vigilant about the surrounding situation, constantly patrolling.
A brilliant streamer streaked across the sky, and a Crystal Dragon flew down, circling above them. From time to time, it swooped down like an arrow, then skimmed over the water’s surface, swiftly ascending.
At this time, the Crystal Dragon’s size had completely surpassed Jason’s, even without including its tail. Its body length had entirely exceeded two meters. Adding its tail and wide, dazzling crystal wings, it already had the makings of a Giant Dragon.
