Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 792 - 347 Returning to the Island
Alka concluded his meditation in the lookout room.
As expected, the efficiency of my meditation is no longer as high as before. Is it returning to normal?
The current efficiency of meditation, while higher compared to a normal Third Stage, had now returned to normal in the context of the Fourth Stage.
Previously, during those last few spirals, Alka experienced a substantial power gap in the Dream Realm, which propelled his rapid advancement. This led to an extremely exaggerated meditation efficiency, with his power constantly increasing.
With the Dream Realm at Fifth Stage and reality at Fourth Stage finally reaching a certain balance, at least it wasn't as disconnected as before. The efficiency of natural power advancement within the Dream Realm also significantly slowed down.
Though Alka's current power advancement remained higher than the average person, it was somewhat more normal and not as exaggerated as before.
27×3... To reach Fifth Stage, I need 81 spirals.
Thinking about the need to progress through 54 more spirals made Alka's face fall completely.
Oh gosh, how long will 54 spirals take?
With this thought, Alka lay back directly on the floor of the lookout room, staring up at the ceiling.
It is at this stage that one realizes how exaggerated the total number from the current stage multiplied by three is, and how absurdly exponential the increase truly is.
The transition from Stage Four to Five is 81 spirals.
From Stage Five to Six, it is 243 spirals.
Stage Six to Seven is 729 spirals.
Stage Seven to Eight is...
The more Alka thought about it, the more he felt hopeless about the future, realizing that this truly required grinding through with time alone.
Alka suddenly understood why only a few have ascended to godhood over nearly 10,000 years, and why very few become famous—it is strongly correlated with their personal power advancement. Relying on spirals and stages to incrementally enhance one's strength to surpass the inherent limits of their Race's life.
This system of power configuration is truly ingenious, and the time required is an indispensable cost.
Alka perceived the changes in his own strength.
With the current meditation efficiency, fully maximizing each day, it would roughly take over five years to reach the Fifth Stage.
It's tough; I can only grind slowly.
Saying that, Alka stood up and looked outside, gazing at the vast, dark sea.
I wonder how much faster higher-Level Treasures could accelerate power advancement? Wouldn't it be at least twice as fast as Holy Grail Level Treasures? 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
With his thoughts wandering, he remained vigilant of the surroundings, until Pororo came to replace him on duty.
A vine-formed basket appeared next to the lookout room. Standing on it, Alka was slowly carried towards the quarterdeck.
He returned to his own room to rest and quickly submerged himself into the Dream Realm.
Arriving at his Dream Bubbles, Alka sensed his silhouette shatter and disappear from where he stood.
Sitting on the phantom's back, Xuan routinely patrolled the Dreamland Royal Court.
Suddenly, shattered mirror fragments appeared beside her, converging and coalescing into the shape of Alka.
"Dad?"
Xuan jumped directly onto Alka's shoulder, while Alka looked at her and asked, "How's it outside? No issues, right?"
"No, it's just a bit boring."
"Well, bear with it."
Alka stood in place, looking downwards.
Below still lay shrouded in mist, though most of the buildings had begun to show certain outlines.
Alka frowned, somewhat puzzled as he viewed the vast building complex below.
Who are these massive buildings supposed to accommodate?
Though Alka struggled to understand the architectural style of the massive complexes below, he had basically never seen a similar style in the outside world. Most consisted of various rhombic and circular shapes. Intersecting structures of various forms were interwoven and inlaid together. They were called buildings but looked more like some kind of art. They resembled unique, large-scale sculptural artworks. Furthermore, most featured characteristics of clouds or crystal-like effects. But as such structures became more numerous, they genuinely formed a district with a special architectural style. They nearly filled the entire underside of the Mirror World. The predominant structure among them was something akin to a spiral with circular halos surrounding it.
But there were too many, and they were too vast, completely extending beyond Alka's current knowledge.
As Alka's words fell, Shadow Robe emerged beside him and explained, "These are basic architectural standards for the Royal Court; they cannot be downsized. Among the Royal Courts of the Kings, such standards are considered relatively small."
Upon hearing this, Alka gazed at the area below.
This still counts as small?
If his calculations were correct, his Royal Court spanned about two-thirds the size of Gemini Island, densely packed with buildings almost covering that two-thirds expanse. Even Gemini Island, split between the two Churches, wouldn't have such dense construction; they would still leave room for streets. Moreover, most of the buildings were hollow in the middle, as they were intended for inhabitants. Yet, Dream Realm creatures didn't require these features. Furthermore, it was a multi-layered space, and these buildings were stacked densely, layer upon layer.
The density is astounding!
This still counts as small?
"So, specifically, what are these buildings used for?" Alka asked Shadow Robe.
"They can enhance the recovery speed of Dream Realm creatures, slowly augment their powers, and even under certain conditions, allow them to duplicate themselves."
"Wait... What does duplicating themselves mean?" Alka asked in confusion.
"Um..." This question suddenly made Shadow Robe falter; he momentarily didn't know how to explain.
