Trials of the Abyss-Chapter 688: Envoy of the Nether Abyss
Chapter 688: Envoy of the Nether Abyss
On a dimly lit, yellowish star, He Motian's towering body sat upon a colossal lotus platform like an imposing mountain.
Several mysterious demonic realms flickered in and out of existence behind him, some filled with joyous celebrations or engulfed in the flames of war, and others nurturing all manner of demonic creatures.
As a high-ranking God, He Motian's soul and consciousness were capable of connecting to many demonic realms at once.
"Fan Qi is dead." A deep, resonant voice echoed from a blazing demonic realm. "The one from the Abyss killed Fan Qi and absorbed both his soul and demonic essence."
A look of surprise flashed across one of He Motian's four faces. "Is he trying to consolidate his power in the starry skies?"
"Most likely," the entity within the blazing demonic realm murmured thoughtfully. "The Abyssal Demon will target all of those split off from the Primordial Demon.
"The Abyssal Demon was the first to awaken and become aware of his origin. He refuses to become a part of the Primordial Demon. Within a certain range, he can sense others like him, those who were split off from the Primordial Demon.
"He's using this method to strengthen himself. Do we need to do anything about this?" asked the entity within the blazing demonic realm.
"There's no need." He Motian shook his head. "It's pointless. No matter how hard he tries, the outcome will not change. When he eventually comes face to face with the Primordial Demon, the Primordial Demon will have a way to control him.
"His power, soul, and the Dao of Demon he comprehended all originate from the Primordial Demon. No matter how much he struggles, he can never defy the Primordial Demon. You have nothing to worry about."
"You—"
One of the heads on He Motian's back suddenly looked terrified.
One by one, the demonic realms connected to him abruptly vanished.
In an instant, He Motian's connection to his followers and his demonic temples was severed.
It was as though he were the only living being left in the starry skies.
He first heard the sound of flowing water, then a will, far superior to his own, transmitted a command from across the boundless skies.
Do not touch her.
Li Yuqing's face appeared vividly in He Motian's mind.
He Motian had many demonic soul fragments, some within his body and others scattered across various demonic realms. Despite this, Li Yuqing's image appeared within every fragment of his demonic soul across the starry skies.
Rising from the colossal lotus platform, He Motian gazed into the distance with a complex expression. "Understood."
The sound of flowing water faded, and the demonic realms reappeared.
The voice from the blazing demonic realm was filled with confusion as it asked, "My Lord, what just happened? For a moment, I couldn't sense you at all."
"It's nothing." All four of He Motian's faces appeared deeply troubled. Without delay, he contacted the Demon Gods closest to him.

On his way back to the Thunder Abyss, Pang Jian's expression changed drastically as he sensed something strange.
Suspended in the bizarre mist beneath the Thunder Abyss was a grayish-white skeleton with wings sprouting from its back.
It was Pan Di.
But Pan Di had died. Moreover, the Outer Gods had picked his skeleton apart, leaving behind only scattered fragments.
How is Pan Di's skeleton here?
Two clusters of eerie blue flames suddenly ignited within Pan Di's hollow eye sockets.
The lifeless Pan Di abruptly said, "Relax. This skeleton of Pan Di is much smaller than the original. I reconstructed it using the scattered remains.
"Also, just so you know, I didn't kill Pan Di. I merely attached a part of my soul to these bones.
"Pang Jian, I'm here because the Bronze-Masked God entrusted me with waiting for you. The human race is not entirely without allies in the boundless starry skies."
A light chuckle echoed from the unknown presence.
From this entity's words, it seemed they knew the Bronze-Masked God's true origins.
"Who are you?" Pang Jian asked cautiously.
"I come from the Nether Abyss." The entity chuckled again. "I heard that you managed to nurture our Nether Abyss Spirit Bees in the Abyss."
Pang Jian was taken aback.
The Outer Gods regarded the Nether Abyss as a restricted area. None dared to establish followers there. Divine beings born of the Nether Abyss were likewise viewed as evil Gods.
The legendary golden Nether Abyss Spirit Bees were said to exist only in that enigmatic world, obeying only the leader of the Nether Abyss.
Pang Jian could not be certain if the divine beings born of the Nether Abyss and the human race were truly allies.
"What brings you here, honored one?" he asked.
The entity replied, "The Bronze-Masked God learned that Zi Mo of the Ghost Race was planning an ambush for you outside the Thunder Abyss and asked me to check on you, but I arrived a little too late.
"While I was on my way here, I heard that you already dealt with the three Fey Gods under He Motian's command within the Thunder Abyss. Zi Mo, realizing that her plan had been exposed and knowing you wouldn't leave, chose to retreat.
"Heh, you True Gods of the human race are truly terrifying. You've only just left the Abyss, and yet you've already stirred up such a commotion."
The divine being born of the Nether Abyss sighed admiringly.
"Aside from the Bronze-Masked God's request, I also came to take you to the Nether Abyss. Our leader wishes to meet you."
"Your leader isn't in the starry skies but in the Nether Abyss?" Pang Jian asked in surprise.
"Correct." The divine being let out a strange laugh. "Our powerful leader resides deep within the Nether Abyss. Divine beings like me also tend to dwell within the bizarre mist, rarely venturing into the starry skies. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
"Pang Jian, the bizarre mist is vast and far from lacking in resources.
"Many powerful beings are active in the bizarre mist, even outside the abysses. The only reason you haven't encountered them is because of the bizarre mist's complexity and vastness.
"I can take you on a tour through the bizarre mist and show you the wonders hidden within it if you'd like," the mysterious envoy from the Nether Abyss suggested eagerly.
"I want to meet the Bronze-Masked God," Pang Jian said.
"Of course," the envoy replied with a laugh. "That was part of his plan all along. As long as you come with me, I can make the arrangements."
Glancing up at the Thunder Abyss, Pang Jian said, "I still have friends inside. I need to go back and let them know."
"No problem. I can wait," the envoy of the Nether Abyss replied patiently.
"How long can you wait?"
"As long as necessary."
"Alright."
Keeping a vigilant eye on the envoy's movements, Pang Jian flew toward the Thunder Abyss. The envoy showed no unusual behavior and made no attempt to stop his return.
It was only when Pang Jian's Immortal Divine Soul passed through the boundary wall that the blue flames in Pan Di's eye sockets flared.
"He crossed the boundary wall with his body and not with the World God's artifact!"
