Triple X System-Chapter 250: Shadow Weaver
Kyle’s eyes widened as the system notifications flooded his mind. "What’s going on? What do you mean hidden skills and chained effects?" he demanded, his voice echoing inside the water bubble.
The sassy goddess chuckled, clearly entertained by his reaction. "Ah, looks like the system is finally showing its hand. I wonder what secrets it’s been hiding from you."
The system prompt continued to flash on his screen, drawing Kyle’s attention. [Evolution requirements met. Host may choose to evolve into a higher form.]
"Higher form?" Kyle’s mind reeled as he read the notification. "What does that even mean?"
The goddess’s voice was laced with amusement. "It means, dear Kyle, that you’re about to level up in a big way. But it’s not just about gaining power – it’s about unlocking your true potential."
Kyle’s thoughts swirled with questions, but he knew he had to focus. "Okay, let’s do this. What’s the catch?"
The goddess’s tone turned cryptic. "The catch is, you’ll have to make a choice. One that will change the course of your existence forever."
The system prompt changed, presenting Kyle with three options:
[Evolve into a Demigod of the Abyss]
[Evolve into a Celestial Being of Light]
[Evolve into a Shadow Weaver of the Underworld]
Kyle’s eyes widened as he read the options. Each one sounded more daunting than the last. What should he choose?
Kyle’s decision was instantaneous, the words tumbling from his lips before he could second-guess himself. "I’ll choose the Shadow Weaver of the Underworld."
The system prompt flashed, acknowledging his choice. [Evolution initiated. Host will undergo transformation into a Shadow Weaver of the Underworld.]
The water bubble around him began to distort, the liquid swirling into a dark, inky vortex. Kyle felt himself being pulled into the center, his astral form stretching and contorting as he was reshaped.
The goddess’s voice echoed in his mind, a mixture of excitement and warning. "As a Shadow Weaver, you’ll wield the shadows themselves. Your power will grow exponentially, but so will the shadows’ hold on you. Are you prepared for the darkness that comes with it?"
Kyle ginned his teeth, determination burning within him. "I’m ready."
The vortex intensified, the darkness closing in around him like a shroud. Kyle’s vision went black, and when it returned, he was standing in a realm unlike any he’d ever seen.
The Underworld stretched out before him, a land of twisted shadows and flickering torches. The air was thick with an otherworldly energy, and Kyle could feel the pulse of the shadows calling to him.
A figure approached him, cloaked in darkness. "Greetings, Shadow Weaver. I am Nyx, patron deity of the Underworld. You have chosen a path of power and darkness. Are you prepared to wield the shadows, and claim your place among the gods?"
Kyle’s heart pounded, the weight of the moment settling upon him. He nodded, his voice steady. "I’m ready."
Nyx raised a hand, and the shadows around Kyle began to coalesce. Tendrils of darkness wrapped around his arms, weaving themselves into intricate patterns.
"You are now a Shadow Weaver," Nyx declared. "Your power will grow with each shadow you claim. But remember, the darkness is a double-edged sword. Wield it wisely, lest it consume you."
The shadows dissipated, leaving Kyle standing in the Underworld, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity.
"I’ve got this," he whispered, his voice dripping with confidence.
The goddess’s voice echoed in his mind, a reminder that he wasn’t alone. "We’ll see about that, Kyle. The game has just begun."
Kyle’s grin grew, his eyes flashing with a hint of mischief. "Bring it on."
As he stood there, the shadows around him began to twist and writhe, weaving themselves into a dark, pulsing aura. Kyle’s eyes burned with an inner fire, his power growing with each passing moment.
He was a Shadow Weaver, and the Underworld was his domain.
The system prompt flashed once more, a new notification awaiting him. [Shadow Weaver skills unlocked. Host has gained access to Shadow Walk, Shadow Bind, and Shadow Craft.]
Kyle’s grin grew, his mind racing with the possibilities. He was ready to take on the world, one shadow at a time.
But as he stood there, basking in his newfound power, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being watched. The goddess’s words echoed in his mind, a reminder that he wasn’t the only player in this game.
"Demi-gods and gods are watching you, Kyle. Don’t get too comfortable."
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his grip on the shadows tightening. He was ready for whatever came next.
The darkness pulsed around him, a promise of power and danger. Kyle was ready to take on the challenge, head-on.
As the shadows swirled, a figure emerged from the darkness. A figure with eyes that burned like embers, and skin as pale as the moon.
"Greetings, Shadow Weaver," the figure said, its voice like a cold breeze on a winter’s night. "I’ve been sent to test your mettle. Are you ready to face the shadows within?"
Kyle’s eyes locked onto the figure, his heart pounding with anticipation. "Bring it on," he growled, the shadows around him pulsing with power.
The figure smiled, its eyes flashing with a malevolent light. "Let’s begin, then."
The darkness closed in, a maelstrom of shadows and power. Kyle stood at the center, his eyes burning with an inner fire.
The battle for the Underworld had begun.
As the fight raged on, Kyle’s power grew, the shadows responding to his every command. He was a Shadow Weaver, and he would not be defeated.
The darkness pulsed around him, a living, breathing entity. Kyle was its master, and he would stop at nothing to claim his rightful place among the gods.
The Underworld trembled, the shadows themselves bowing to Kyle’s will. He was the Shadow Weaver, and he would not be denied.
The goddess’s voice echoed in his mind once more, a reminder of the stakes. "The world tears are watching, Kyle. Don’t waste this opportunity."
Kyle’s grin grew, his eyes flashing with determination. "I won’t."
The shadows exploded outward, a maelstrom of darkness and power. Kyle stood at the center, his eyes burning with an inner fire.
The Underworld was his, and he would claim it all.
Kyle stood in the Underworld, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity. Nyx, the patron deity, nodded in approval. "You are now a Shadow Weaver. Wield the shadows, and claim your place among the gods."
A figure emerged from the darkness, its eyes burning like embers. "Greetings, Shadow Weaver. I’ve been sent to test your mettle. Are you ready to face the shadows within?"
Kyle’s grin grew, his eyes flashing with mischief. "Bring it on."
The figure lunged, its movements swift and deadly. Kyle dodged, the shadows around him twisting to evade the attack. He countered with a swipe of his hand, summoning a dark tendril to bind his opponent.
The figure dissipated, reappearing behind Kyle. "Not bad," it said, its voice like a cold breeze. "But can you handle the darkness?"
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his grip on the shadows tightening. He summoned a vortex of darkness, drawing the figure in.
The figure struggled, its eyes flashing with surprise. "Impressive," it said, its voice strained. "But you’re not ready for the shadows’ true power."
The figure vanished, leaving Kyle standing amidst the swirling darkness. Nyx appeared, her eyes gleaming with approval. "You have potential, Shadow Weaver. But the Underworld is full of dangers. Are you prepared to face them?"
Kyle’s jaw set, his eyes burning with determination. "I’m ready."
Nyx nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Then let us see what you’re truly capable of."
The shadows around him erupted, a maelstrom of darkness and power. Kyle stood at the center, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.
The Underworld trembled, the shadows themselves bowing to Kyle’s will. He was the Shadow Weaver, and he would not be denied.
As the darkness dissipated, Kyle stood tall, his chest heaving with exertion. The system prompt flashed, a new notification awaiting him. [Shadow Weaver skills unlocked has levelled up. Host has gained access to Shadow Walk(lv3), Shadow Bind(lv2), and Shadow Craft(lv 2).]
Kyle’s grin grew, his mind racing with the possibilities. He was ready to take on the world, one shadow at a time.
But as he stood there, he felt a presence watching him. The goddess’s voice echoed in his mind, a reminder that he wasn’t alone. "The game has just begun, Kyle."
About to inquire further, his mind was barraged with a set of past events he’d already seen in sandhill castle.
The vision like image projected in his head, displaying the catacombs he’d passed through. Stopping at a particular tomb, not grand or distinct in anyway. Stationed in between two better quality times with foreign insignia and symbols.
’Swoosh!’
Like a command, he was forcefully evicted from the shadow space he was transported to.
"Argh!" He screamed in pain, forcefully sitting upwards on a bed. Clutching his head suffering from a migraine.
"I’m back." A blank expression bore on his face, looking round the spacious room. With several advanced technical gears, powered by the blue mana stones.
