Triple X System-Chapter 252: The Silent Struggle
The kingdom of Lumia seethed with undercurrents of discontent. The awakened citizens, still reeling from King Troy’s brutal display of power, whispered in hushed tones about rebellion. The king’s iron fist had shaken the very foundations of the kingdom, and the tremors were being felt by all.
In a high-tech laboratory, Reze, the brilliant scientist with a black bulb cut hair, pored over holographic displays, her eyes narrowed in concentration. Her thick figure, clad in a tight-fitting black dress and white lab coat, seemed to radiate an aura of intensity.
"Reze, we need to move," Lucias, one of the king’s trusted space guards, said, his sleek black hair gleaming in the lab’s light. "The king’s patience is wearing thin."
Reze’s eyes flicked up, her expression unyielding. "I’m almost there, Lucias. The teleportation pad’s encryption is almost cracked."
Layla, the pink-haired guard, nodded, her hand on the grip of her gun. "We got your back, Reze. But we need to be quick. The king’s planning something big, and it involves us."
Reze’s eyes sparkled with curiosity, but she refocused on the task at hand. "Almost... almost... got it!"
The lab’s lights flickered, and the holographic displays flashed with success. Reze’s grin was triumphant, but it was short-lived.
The lab’s door slid open, and King Troy walked in, his eyes narrowed. "Reze, I see you’re making progress. Good. I have a new project for you."
Reze’s expression turned guarded, but she nodded. "What is it, Your Majesty?"
Troy’s eyes flicked to Lucias and Layla, his expression unreadable. "I want you to work with the annoying peasant on reconstructing the teleportation pad. He’s got... unique skills that might be useful."
Kyle, who’d been observing from the shadows, stepped forward, his eyes narrowed. "I’m happy to help, but I want to know what’s going on. What’s the plan?"
Troy’s smile was thin. "The plan is to rebuild the kingdom, Kyle. To make it stronger, more powerful. And you’re going to help us."
Kyle’s eyes flicked to Reze, who nodded subtly. He knew she was hiding something, but he’d play along... for now.
"I’m in," Kyle said, his eyes flashing with power. "But I want to test my skills first."
Troy’s expression turned skeptical, but he nodded. "Very well. Show me what you’ve got, annoying peasant. You must’ve awakened something new, I can tell."
Kyle nodded, focusing his energy. The shadows around him began to twist and writhe, coalescing into dark, pulsing tendrils.
But just as he was about to unleash his power, Troy raised a hand, stopping him. "That’s enough, Kyle. I think we’ve seen enough."
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, but he nodded, his grip on his shadows tightening. He knew he wasn’t ready to take on the king... yet.
Troy turned to Reze, his expression all business. "Reze, get Kyle up to speed on the teleportation pad. Lucias and Layla, you’ll be providing security."
Reze nodded, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Let’s get started, Kyle. We’ve got a lot of work to do."
As they set to work, Kyle couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being played. The kingdom’s silent struggles were far from over, and he was right in the middle of them.
The lab’s lights hummed, the holographic displays flashing with data. Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his grip on his shadows tightening.
He was going to uncover the truth, no matter what it took.
As they worked, Reze whispered to Kyle, her voice barely audible. "Be careful, Kyle. The king’s got plans, and you’re just a pawn in his game."
Kyle’s eyes flicked to hers, his expression guarded. "I’m not just a pawn, Reze. I’m a Shadow Weaver. And I’m not afraid to use my power."
Reze’s eyes sparkled with amusement, but her expression remained serious. "I hope you’re right, Kyle. Because in this game, the stakes are life and death."
The lab’s tension was palpable, the air thick with unspoken threats. Kyle’s grip on his shadows tightened, his eyes flashing with power.
He was ready to play.
The holographic teleportation pad hummed to life, the holographic displays flashing with success. Reze’s grin was triumphant, but Kyle knew this was just the beginning.
The game was on, and the kingdom of Lumia would never be the same again.
Troy’s voice echoed in the lab, his expression cold. "Good work, Reze. Now, let’s see what the victor of the hunger games can really do."
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his grip on his shadows tightening. He was ready to show the king what he was made of.
The lab’s lights seemed to dim, the shadows growing longer and darker. Kyle’s power surged, the air thick with anticipation.
He was a demon and shadow weaver, and he was just getting started.
Kyle’s discussion with Lumia was brief, but it left him with more questions than answers. They met in a secluded corner of the palace, away from prying eyes.
"Lumia, what’s going on?" Kyle asked, his voice low. "What’s this about your sister, Lynn?"
Lumia’s expression was somber, her eyes clouding over. "Lynn was... twisted. She sought power, no matter the cost. She was responsible for the first destruction of the castle, trying to harness the world tears’ energy for herself."
Kyle’s eyes narrowed. "And what happened to her?"
Lumia’s gaze dropped, her voice barely above a whisper. "She’s gone. Father... Father had to stop her. But it left a scar on our family, on the kingdom."
Kyle’s mind reeled with the implications. No wonder King Troy was so ruthless – he’d lost a daughter, and the kingdom had almost fallen.
Just then, Lucias appeared, his expression urgent. "Kyle, we’re ready to depart. The spacecraft is prepped, and Reze has programmed the coordinates."
Kyle nodded, turning to Lumia. "I’ll be back, okay? We’ll get this sorted out."
Lumia’s smile was weak, but she nodded. "Be careful, Kyle. The east of the kingdom is... treacherous. Kraken is a world unlike any other."
Kyle’s eyes locked onto hers. "I’ll bring back answers, Lumia. I promise."
The small spacecraft, designed for reconnaissance and stealth, housed eight occupants: Kyle, Lucias, Layla, and five other guards. Kyle, as the leader, took his place at the front, his eyes fixed on the holographic display.
"Kraken, here we come," he whispered, initiating the jump sequence.
The spacecraft hurtled through space, the stars blurring into streaks of light. Kyle’s grip on the armrests tightened as the G-forces pushed him back.
When the ship emerged from hyperspace, Kyle’s eyes widened. Kraken was a dark, twisted world, its skies choked with thick, crimson clouds. The surface was a labyrinth of jagged rock formations and eerie, glowing caves.
"Dark magic users, summoners, spell casters," Lucias whispered, his voice awed. "This is a world of the damned."
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his grip on his shadows tightening. "We’re here for answers. Let’s move out."
The spacecraft landed with a soft thud, the ramp lowering with a hiss. Kyle led the way, his eyes scanning the horizon.
Kraken’s air was thick with an otherworldly energy, the ground trembling beneath their feet. Kyle’s senses were on high alert, his shadows coiling around him like a living entity.
As they ventured deeper, the darkness seemed to grow thicker, the shadows twisting into living, breathing creatures. Kyle’s grip on reality began to slip, his mind reeling with the implications.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows, its eyes glowing like embers. "Welcome, Shadow Weaver," it hissed, its voice like a rusty gate. "We’ve been expecting you."
Kyle’s eyes narrowed, his grip on his shadows tightening. "Who are you?"
The figure chuckled, its eyes burning with malevolent intent. "I am Zha’thik, the darkness that lurks within. And you, Kyle, are the key to unlocking Kraken’s true power."
Looking at the figure, Kyle’s mind raced on many possibilities how this humanoid beast knew what class he’d chosen.
’Could this be one of the demi-gods that want me dead?’ He thought scanning the beast with his eyes, cursing his luck for not obtaining an inspect skill.
’It can’t be, the aura emitting from it is on my par but that’s it.’ He shrugged the chilling sensation coming from the abomination standing in front.
"Leave this to me." Kyle spoke with an authoritative tone, already stepping out.
The darkness closed in, the shadows swirling around Kyle like a maelstrom. He knew he had to act fast – his life, and the fate of the kingdom, depended on it.
’I haven’t been able to get in contact with snow.’ His brow crunched into a frown, not being able to contact his system helper.
She wasn’t just an AI otherworldly guide, but Kyle’s personal assistant and advicer. But that wasn’t all, everyone he tried pulling up his profile tab it showed an error message.

"W-what the hell is that thing!?" Layla bellowed with a pale expression. Staring at the creature that has a short brown slithery appearance below.
Similar to that of a serpent, with strange circular symbols with a cross facing upwards protruding out the circle tattoo. Running along it’s black serpent body.
The upper half of this creature was surprisingly human. Male to be exact, with hard scale skin and muscles. Resembling those snake men he read about in fantasy novels.
[I wonder if they have any female snake people too.] A familiar voice sounded in his head, causing a smile to creep to his lips.
