Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1201: The Most Clear-Headed Jocelyn Morgan
Mia Lane just happened to be at the club today, and when she came out, she saw that familiar Lamborghini.
Strange, is my husband here too?
So, she stopped and turned back into the club, beginning to search for her husband’s figure.
Could such a coincidence really happen?
Soon, she saw the police escorting two middle-aged men coming out from a distance, and she sensed something was wrong. She stepped aside and leaned against the wall with full relief carvings.
After they passed by, Mia walked forward out of curiosity and came to the door of the room they exited.
Just when she planned to get to the bottom of it, she saw a familiar figure rising from the sofa, with an awe-inspiring presence like a king ruling over all.
"Husband?" She walked inside, glanced back, and asked, "Those two people just now..."
Their eyes met, and Justin Kingston’s gaze softened.
Mia came up to him, "What’s wrong with them? Who are they? Why were they taken away by the police?"
"The ones who hurt your brother when you were young, always coveting The Dalton Group’s CEO position," Justin handed her the shares transfer documents, "But it’s resolved now."
Mia reached out to take it, seeing 20% of the shares transferred to her father’s name, she widened her eyes in disbelief!
"Did you force them?"
"Voluntarily."
"..."
"Let’s go." Justin put his arm around his wife’s shoulder, leading her outside with a relaxed tone, "They’ll spend the rest of their lives in prison, The Dalton Group will be free from turmoil. They’re like two malignant tumors, I’ve sent many talents to gather their crime evidence."
She glanced sideways, "Does Dad know about this?"
"I didn’t tell him before it was done," Justin turned, kissed her cheek, and smiled subtly, "Now we can bring him this surprise!"
That act of affection, completely ignoring Jerry Garcia’s feelings behind them.
Mia held the weighty share transfer document, deeply moved.
Has he been secretly taking calls these days, always busy with this matter?
The whole day, Jocelyn Morgan stayed by Cecilia Dunn’s side.
She sent her back to her parent’s home, safely handing her over to them.
The elders of the Dunn family expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Jocelyn, saying a lot of tearful words of thanks.
Cecilia also cried and apologized to her parents for making them worry.
"Cecilia, have you really thought it through?"
In the bedroom, Jocelyn let go of her hand, stood up, and said, "Howard Sawyer is just a scumbag. You can encounter four to five scumbags, but you can’t let the same man be a scumbag four to five times!"
"I know," Cecilia looked at her, clearly aware, "Jocelyn, I really have moved on. Believe me, after attending your class all day, it has had some effect."
"When you can’t figure it out, don’t do anything foolish!" Jocelyn glanced at her phone for the time, "I have to go back in a while. If you find yourself puzzled again, call me immediately!"
The girl couldn’t help but laugh, "You’re the voice of reason in this world."
"That’s right!" She laughed, "Though I haven’t been in love, I’ve written about it! Couples in my writing, if not a hundred, then at least ninety pairs!"
"Yeah, yeah, you’re actually the most experienced."
"Cecilia, I’m planning to travel, do you want to join?" Jocelyn told her, "I won’t go too far."
"I need to find a job, unlike you, a freelancer." Cecilia looked a bit downcast, "Keeping myself busy so I don’t overthink."
"Exactly! Girls should have their own careers! Don’t put all your emotions on a man!"
Meanwhile, the two young girls were still chatting.
Downstairs.
Mrs. Dunn had already instructed the chef to prepare a sumptuous snack to reward Jocelyn, "Having such a good friend like Jocelyn is Cecilia’s great fortune."
Providence Hospital.
Ian Shelby stole a moment of leisure just after coming out of the operating room, picked up his phone, contemplating calling Jocelyn’s number, feeling an urge to dial.
Wondering how her friend was doing, if she needed psychological counseling. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
He worried she might be busy.
Afraid she might resent his enthusiasm, especially since she rejected Trevor, making it awkward to even be friends.
Ian likes her, always cautious not to repeat Trevor’s mistake.
Outside the office door, Vera Ford stopped, gazing at the figure by the window holding the phone. She guessed, Ian’s thoughts had already drifted far.
Is he thinking about Jocelyn?
