Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1205: The Script of Life
Ian Shelby stared at the string of letters, still a bit puzzled. How did it become pinyin?
At the Dalton family villa, the light in Trevor’s room was still on at this hour.
David Garcia passed by outside and stood at the ajar door for a while, feeling very curious. Haven’t slept yet?
After thinking for a moment, he gently knocked on the door.
"Come in." Trevor turned his gaze from the window.
Seeing the door open, his father walked in wearing pajamas, "Why are you still awake so late? What are you thinking about?"
There shouldn’t be any work worries.
Everything with the company has been going smoothly recently.
As he approached, David Garcia seemed to notice something from his expression, "How are things with that girl?"
Trevor withdrew his gaze from his father and looked out the window, answering thoughtfully, "Perhaps... perhaps we are fated but not destined to be together."
Though she hadn’t expressed it, maybe he had a hint of an answer in his heart.
David Garcia felt very sorry; Trevor is a good kid, he’s exceptionally outstanding, he deserves to be loved.
The room fell into a brief silence.
Of the eighty thousand Chinese characters, only the character for ’love’ causes the most pain.
"Son." Placing a hand on his shoulder, David Garcia said supportively, "Do you believe it? We have already read life’s script in heaven."
He then turned his gaze outward, towards the bright moon, "We chose this script because there are things worth it in this script that we recognize."
"You didn’t choose this life because of that girl; maybe it was because of me, your father?"
Trevor smiled a bit, but still felt somewhat lost inside.
Because this was the first time he genuinely, with no ulterior motive, liked a girl.
Every time he thought of her, he felt especially happy. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
He even had the thought of spending the rest of his life with her.
"You’re right," Trevor also responded logically, "Life’s script is chosen by oneself, and every script has flaws; not everything will go as wished."
David Garcia nodded, "Mm." But to truly accept things openly, one probably has to go through their own growth.
"I feel a strong connection with her," Trevor said to his father, "As long as I think of her, I feel joyful."
"Then pursue her." David Garcia turned his gaze to encourage him, "Start inviting her out for meals tomorrow, give her gifts, and use your sincerity to move her."
Trevor had considered this, but feared it might make her feel more repelled instead, pushing her further away.
Because he knew, Jocelyn Morgan was not an ordinary girl.
She is looking for a feeling; girls who write novels tend to have more delicate emotions.
The night wore on...
The next morning.
Jocelyn Morgan was still asleep when Hailey Hale was brought over by Finn Morgan, carrying a box full of clothes.
Jasmine received a call early and had someone prepare a nutritional breakfast for the pregnant woman.
"Mom, where’s Jocelyn? Did she go on a trip?"
"Not yet. She was with her best friend yesterday and hasn’t woken up yet." Jasmine affectionately caressed Hailey’s hair, her face filled with a kind smile, "Should I call her?"
"No need, I’ll go!" Hailey Hale held her hand, "Mom, I’m staying here for a few days! I’ve brought my clothes!"
"That’s wonderful!" Jasmine was certainly happy, "You should have come sooner! I just didn’t know how to ask!"
Hailey Hale was all smiles listening to her mother-in-law say—
"Was worried you two would want some couple’s time alone, but actually, during pregnancy, living here means mom can take care of you! Feel free to ask for anything you want to eat! And let mom know if you’re uncomfortable!"
"Thank you, mom!"
Jasmine truly is great, treating her daughter-in-law like her own; sometimes she has to scold her own son a bit, even though Finn Morgan is doing quite well.
