Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1231: Meeting You, My Heart Is Filled with Joy
Jasmine, caught unprepared, also stood up. "Why didn’t you tell us in advance? This girl!" She quickly asked a nearby servant, "Did we cook enough rice?"
"Yes, we cooked extra, ma’am."
Jasmine glanced at the dining table. The dishes weren’t plentiful, and it was Ian Shelby’s first visit, but there wasn’t much they could do.
Soon, everyone stood up.
Because Jocelyn Morgan brought Ian Shelby to the dining room entrance, her heart full of joy—
"Uncle, Aunt, Brother, Sister-in-law! I’ve brought my boyfriend home! Add a pair of chopsticks!"
She was truly enthusiastic and exuberant. Ian Shelby, with a gentle smile, held a gift in his hand. He didn’t seem embarrassed, appearing gracious as if he had been caught up in her pace.
"Come in! Come in!" Jasmine was very pleased.
Everett Morgan also greeted them, "Come sit, Dr. Shelby!"
"Nanny, add some utensils!" Finn Morgan was also delighted, pulling out a white dining chair.
Hailey Hale, her belly slightly rounded, had a face full of smiles.
"Jocelyn, why didn’t you let us know you were bringing Dr. Shelby for dinner? I could have asked Nanny to prepare a few more dishes!"
A servant took over the gift.
"It’s no big deal!" Jocelyn Morgan brought Ian Shelby to the dining table.
Ian Shelby graciously said, "Aunt, I apologize for the sudden visit."
"No, no, no!" Jocelyn quickly explained, "I wanted to surprise everyone!"
"Please have a seat." Everett Morgan beamed with a smile.
Although unplanned, the atmosphere was harmonious and joyful.
"Aunt, how has your stomach been lately? Any discomfort?" Ian noticed a few dishes were made according to the menu he had provided.
This showed she took it to heart.
Jasmine was all smiles, "Thanks to you, I’ve been feeling great lately. The whole family is following the stomach care diet, always cooking according to your menu."
"Come, come, eat up! Don’t be shy; you’re family now."
"Visit whenever you have time!"
Outside, the evening breeze was gentle, and the moonlight was bright.
Inside, the warmth was abundant, and laughter echoed.
During dinner, Ian Shelby quickly fit in.
He proactively assured everyone, "Uncle, Aunt, though my work is demanding and keeps me busy, I will never neglect Jocelyn. Please rest assured."
Hearing this, Jocelyn Morgan felt a sweetness in her heart, determined to cherish the one who makes time for her despite being busy.
After dinner.
Jocelyn Morgan tiptoed to whisper something in Ian Shelby’s ear, then headed upstairs. Ian Shelby, after glancing at everyone, followed her upstairs.
Until the sound of footsteps faded away.
Jasmine suddenly grew concerned, softly asking, "He’s not staying over tonight, is he? Are they moving in together so soon?"
Everett Morgan, sitting on the sofa, poured some tea, "If you’ve already agreed, why worry so much?"
During this dinner, Everett Morgan found Ian Shelby to be very reliable. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
"But isn’t it too fast?"
Jasmine sat beside her husband, feeling anxious, "Girls can be at a disadvantage in these matters. Their relationship is still unstable; what if she gets pregnant?"
"They’re adults, with their own judgments." Everett Morgan really didn’t worry about it; he was just like that, occasionally stubborn.
When not stubborn, he was very agreeable, a loving father.
Jasmine, being a woman, was meticulous and naturally worried more about the younger generation, all out of concern.
Upstairs, in the bedroom.
Jocelyn Morgan happily took a signed book from the shelf, "I wrote this, with my autograph, for you! It’s a limited edition!"
Ian Shelby, gazing at her sparkling eyes, reached out to take it and glanced at the title—"I Walk Towards You, Full of Joy."
He didn’t say thank you, but instead, pulled her into a cherished embrace, "Jocelyn, knowing you fills me with joy."
