Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1258: Trevor Becomes Vigilant
William is also observing on this occasion, "I think he’s looking at our Demi." Perhaps men are a bit insensitive.
"..." The lady actually found herself speechless.
The blame lies with those two young women sitting too close together. The two pianos are placed side by side.
In the banquet hall, some have found dance partners and started dancing.
During the performance of this piece, a strange event occurred, with people coming to clink glasses with Trevor wave after wave.
"Mr. Trevor truly is a remarkable gentleman, I’ve heard of you for a long time."
"Mr. Trevor, pleasure to meet you."
Trevor responded kindly, clinking glasses with them one by one, and taking a sip of wine.
Soon, a glass of red wine was emptied, and the waiter took the empty glass from his hand and quickly handed him another.
It’s curious because he doesn’t know any of these people, yet they can call out his name, showing expressions of envy.
Trevor, seasoned in the business world, naturally feels suspicious and cautious, but he doesn’t show it.
As Trevor savored his wine, he connected all the dots from before and suddenly realized something was amiss.
He casually placed the wine glass on the tray the waiter was holding.
Intending to head upstairs, William, who had been watching him for a while, swiftly approached him, "Mr. Trevor!" blocking his path, intentionally or not.
Trevor had to halt his steps, "..." The gaze of the two men met.
"What do you need? Shall I ask Lucy to prepare it for you?" William asked, seemingly concerned.
Trevor sensed a bit more, casually curling his lips into a slight smile, and calmly replied, "I’m going up to change my outfit."
Then, he glanced down at himself, "This color scheme doesn’t match Miss Demi’s dress, and I’ll be inviting her to dance a few more pieces later."
This reason was flawless; Trevor considered Demi’s feelings, wanting to give her the perfect experience.
William relaxed his guard accordingly, "Alright." He gestured toward the stairs, "I’ll be waiting for you to come down."
Changing an outfit shouldn’t take long, should it?
Trevor nodded, withdrawing his gaze, and proceeded upstairs.
William gave Lucy a look, and she got the message, quickly following him.
Trevor didn’t look back, calmly walking upstairs, aware that Lucy was following him. He returned to his room, deliberately leaving the door open, seriously selecting outfits in front of the clothes rack.
Lucy stood still at the doorway.
After a while, Trevor turned his gaze, inviting in English, "Lucy, could you please come and give me some advice? See which outfit better matches Miss Demi’s dress tonight?"
Lucy stepped inside, "Sure."
Trevor picked one and asked her, "How about this one?"
"I think Mr. Trevor has a great eye." Lucy looked up at his stunning appearance, "You have a figure like a walking coat hanger; everything looks good on you."
"Then I’ll go with this one. Would you mind closing the door?" Trevor’s voice was gentle.
Lucy nodded, unguardedly turned, and left, closing the door behind her.
Trevor confirmed she wouldn’t come back in soon, put down the clothes and took out his phone, quickly dialing Mia Lane’s number.
Intentionally, he hid behind the curtain so that people in the yard couldn’t see him.
Soon, Mia’s voice came through, "Brother, Dad said you went to Eldoria for work; was it smooth? When are you coming back? Ethan is clamoring to see you again."
From the tone, Mia seemed to be in a good mood at this moment.
"Here’s the thing, there’s a situation here, listen, I’ll be brief."
Detecting something amiss in her brother’s tone, Mia quickly became alert, "Go ahead, I’m listening." She got up, went into another room, and turned on the call recording.
