Ultimate Cash System-Chapter 45: He is serious about it.
Chapter 45: He is serious about it.
Entering the restaurant, Lukas went to the counter and asked if there was any private table available, and the answer was no, so he had to take the girls to a corner table so that he could speak with them.
Anya and Ashmika did not talk much just sat side by side like good girls. Lukas also sat in front of them and was just processing how to explain his idea.
" Order whatever you want to eat," Lukas said with confidence, as he had ten hundred-dollar bills in his pocket.
Anya and Ashmika looked at each other, then smiled evilly and ordered two whole cheesesteak hoagies and two 20 oz.
Lukas didn’t mind just taking a coffee because he already ate, and as they were eating, he cleared his throat for their attention.
" Ma’am, I need a team to build a website idea for me. I have already acquired a website called Facebook and need highly skilled developers like you to develop it. I have money," Lukas said in one line.
Anya and Ashmika just shook their heads up and down as if they were listening. Lukas could actually see they weren’t taking him seriously at all, they were laughing and sometimes even speaking with themselves.
"Lukas, right? You are a freshman, so let me call you Luke," Ashmika said. She was smiling and looking Lukas right in the eyes.
" So Luke, I won’t even ask you what kind of website you have in your mind. Do you know the interns much below us charge money per month? The minimum in Princeton for interns is five thousand a month, so I hope I crushed whatever business plan you had in your mind," Ashmika said, while Anya just yawned without any surprises.
Lukas, hearing this, frowned. This was expected, they were not taking him seriously and thought he was some kind of bum who, by fluke, wanted to enter the dot-com bubble.
" I understand. Thank you for your time. Can I also say I have money? I can sign a contract with you and pay upfront if you doubt me so much," Lukas said seriously.
" Listen here, pal... " Ashmika wanted to rebuke Lukas again, but Anya this time held her hand before she could even finish her sentence.
" He is serious about it," Anya said in her lazy voice. She looked like a person who resembles a sloth, she was slow but would do whatever she thought fit. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
Ashmika, hearing Anya talk, quietened down. She sighed and contemplated on her own. Lukas didn’t disturb her and looked gratefully towards Anya.
Anya just avoided his eye contact and ate her giant sandwich. Ashmika was also taking a bite of her sandwich and thinking about something very hard.
Lukas was just waiting for them to give him a chance to explain, if they don’t, he can just go to a guy called Mark in Harvard, and as a fellow Ivy League student, he will get some benefits, right?
" Alright, but let me remind you if your website is something small-scale, like less than a hundred thousand, better not tell us anything because we are working on a project that has a budget of eighty-five thousand, and it’s almost finished," Ashmika said with a nod. Anya also nodded her head.
" Perfect, I won’t tell you about something that has so little budget. My budget is around a million, so can I talk?" Lukas asked with a cheeky smile.
" Just talk, newbie," Ashmika said in a sassy tone.
" I want to create a place on the web for everyone, like, literally everyone. Let’s start with our university first. I want them to create a profile first, and then if they know each other like us, we can add ourselves as a friend in that website and then talk and upload a photo too," Lukas said in simple terms, but Anya, who was a little slow to take, was not slow in this, she was looking at Lukas as if she was looking at a genius.
"So you want people to make friends? In your million-dollar website? That’s just dumb," Ashmika said. She was also making a disgusted face.
" Yes, Dumb, I want it to be free for everyone. Of course, you have to add an option so that they can talk with each other, like with a keyboard and on this phone, and send each other media like photos or small videos. They need to have fun with it," Lukas said while showing his phone, which supports the Internet.
" How do we earn money from it if it’s free to sign up?" Ashmika asked, she was a little confused about the idea.
" We can use ad monetization for that," Anya chimed in. She understood the idea very well and was almost excited.
"If he sells this idea only, he could make thousands, so he has a good brain," Anya said with a smile.
" Hmm, alright, we can do it, but to build a server, we need money and people that would handle codes. How big do you want the server to be?" Ashmika asked if she needed to go into her club room to decide everything.
" Two million people—I need it so that two million people can easily have access and use it," Lukas said. He has his plans for how to bring people to the website.
Ashmika was shocked to hear such a big number even Anya looked at Lukas with doubt, because two million people were no joke, although they could make it with a big team, but what if people didn’t come?
"Too greedy," Ashmika commented.
"I’ll waste my money, no problem. The logo needs to be an ’F’ with blue and white colors, like the background should be white and the letter should be blue. The name of our website will be called ’facebook.com,’ " Lukas smilingly said.
" Why not Facebook?" Anya asked, although she didn’t talk much, but asked a very good question.
" Because it’s visual, virtual friendship while seeing your face in the photo is why Facebook and FriendBook.com is a expensive domain and not worth the hype" Lukas said smilingly.
