Chapter 626: Chapter 427: Natural Expedition Team, [Masterful Command] Entry?

Fang Zhou looked at Queen Biondis and said, "There’s no time to lose. I must act quickly. Over the past few days of marching, we’ve successfully cleared the path from the Queen’s Tribe to the outside world.

"Your Majesty, please send your people to re-establish contact with Sea City Military Academy. I will also report the situation here to the academy truthfully. There are two rare and powerful Golden Tier Great Undead Mages at the academy. They will surely be interested in the undead Corrosive Poison Curse you’ve suffered from and will absolutely have the ability to solve your urgent predicament.

"If necessary, Your Majesty, you can leave the Forest of Nature and go to Sea City Military Academy for treatment."

Queen Biondis looked at Fang Zhou, then at Zhang Wu, and sighed. "It seems we have no choice, do we?"

For the next two days, Fang Zhou and his Calamity Squad took a short rest to recover from the exhaustion of the forced marches.

Queen Biondis also kept her promise, ordering someone to take Fang Zhou to the Flower Elves’ treasure trove.

Fang Zhou was momentarily dazzled by the wealth of these Flower Elves. However, since he was currently aligning himself with the Lawful Good Faction, he had no intention of engaging in plunder. He simply selected all the Undead-Attribute materials that were useful to him, as agreed. Most of these were raw materials for forging or alchemy, which Fang Zhou had no time to process at the moment. The rest included some casting materials, like the Bone Spirit Pearl. When Fang Zhou used such materials to cast Undead Mage skills, their power would increase significantly. However, these materials were exceptionally rare; they were not common even in the Flower Elves’ treasure trove. Fang Zhou planned to keep these in reserve as a last resort.

At the warm invitation of Queen Biondis, the members of the Calamity Squad each selected several bottles of Purified Moonlight Spring water as an advance reward. Then, they led the mighty host of natural creatures eastward, ready to trample the undead.

The sun once again shone on the taut vine-and-wood walls of the Queen’s Tribe, edging the settlement, shrouded in the clouds of the undead Corrosive Poison plague, with a solemn golden border.

CROAK.

A giant frog’s call echoed from behind, followed by the rapid thud of hooves hitting the ground. A group of riders cloaked in pure black rode swiftly on Moonlight Deer, sweeping past like a whirlwind. The pure Moonlight Spring emblem on their billowing cloaks was striking.

The elderly, weak, and infirm who witnessed this silently watched them go until their silhouettes gradually merged into the eastern horizon.

"Eastward... Are they heading for that damned Undead Tomb?" a severely injured Bear Monster muttered. "I hope it doesn’t end like last time..."

"Merciful Moonlight Spring, have mercy!"

"Please protect us, Will of Nature."

Sorrowful prayers buzzed from within the Queen’s Tribe, as many people looked toward the east with hopeful eyes.

The riders, entrusted with the last hope of the natural creatures, were an incredibly diverse group. At the core of their combat strength were, of course, Fang Zhou and his Calamity Squad. Additionally, the Thunderfire Squad led by Ye Yinzhu and the Gale Squad led by Hong Yang had both rushed to the Queen’s Tribe within the last two days. Among the squads from Sea City Military Academy scattered across the Forest of Nature, the Gale and Thunderfire Squads were by no means weak. With their help, Fang Zhou was even more confident about the upcoming battle.

The rest were natural creatures of various races: Moonlight Deer, Flower Butterfly Girls, Flower Elves, Forest Centaurs, Harpies...

The slow-moving Bear Monsters and Tree-men formed a separate unit, advancing slowly from the rear as a reserve force.

Over the past few days, Fang Zhou had thoroughly memorized the terrain map around the Queen’s Tribe. To get from the Queen’s Tribe to the Naraku Civilization ruins occupied by Undead Demons, the fastest route was a straight line heading east. However, this straight line passed through the most daunting terrain—the Withered Swamp.

According to Queen Biondis, it was a very dangerous swamp, filled with bottomless quagmires covered by duckweed and decaying leaves. Only a single muddy, winding path traversed it, a path so narrow that not even Moonlight Deer could walk side by side. Once lost, there was no turning back.

Contrary to its intimidating reputation, the Withered Swamp had a deceptively beautiful appearance. It was less a swamp and more a plain shrouded in a light mist. Ink-colored duckweed covered the water’s surface, looking just like a lush lawn at first glance. Various aquatic trees grew together, their countless branches and leaves forming dense, continuous patches and clusters. The flowers on their crowns bloomed in lavish bunches, and the breeze carried a thick, cloying fragrance that was almost suffocating.

First-time visitors to the Withered Swamp were often captivated by this surprising beauty, overlooking the swamp’s terrifying nature. The students of Sea City Military Academy were no exception. When they first saw the Withered Swamp from afar, they were stunned by the vibrant scenery.

"From now on, we need to be careful," Fang Zhou said. He might have been the only one not distracted by the Withered Swamp’s beauty. He patted his ride, the quietly squatting Mutated Demon Swamp Frog, Guagua, making a crisp slapping sound.

What a miraculous place.
