Unexpected Marriage With Mr. Leighton: Rebirth of the Villain-Chapter 89: RANON WAS BEING TOO MUCH
Chapter 89: RANON WAS BEING TOO MUCH
Marcus slapped her so hard to the point that Valerie’s glasses broke. She stumbled back, and her head hit the corner of the table. The broken glass cut the corner of her eyes, and the pain from hitting her head against the table made her head a little bit dizzy.
She didn’t know what Marcus said next; she only heard him screaming without knowing what the words he was saying to her were. Her ears were ringing, her head was hurting, but the agony she felt came from the fact that she had lost her loving brother.
Her big brother was not like this before. He used to be loving and protective of her. Never in her life would she imagine that he would slap her like this, not to mention for him to turn out to be like this.
And after Marcus left, Valerie came to a realization that she felt safer whenever he was not around, when in the past it used to be the other way around.
How could things go so badly between them? How could he change so much? For the last few years, she didn’t know what exactly Marcus was doing with the crowd of people that he worked for, but she knew it was not something good.
And now whatever bad things they did had corrupted his mind as well.
Valerie wept; she cried so hard until she couldn’t breathe properly. She mourned the loss of her brother. It almost felt like he had died.
The Big Brother that she knew had gone; and when she finally could regain her composure, she looked at her reflection in the mirror as the sun appeared on the horizon.
It was already morning, and apparently Valerie had cried for hours throughout the night.
Seeing her reflection in the mirror, Valerie knew that she couldn’t go to work with this wound without attracting other people’s attention. The shattered glass had cut the corner of her eyes, and it was very visible. It was so red with dried blood on it.
There was no amount of makeup that could hide it, especially when her eyes were very swollen from crying so hard for a long time.
Based on that. Valerie decided to take a day off even though there was an important meeting today. There was no way she could show her face.

Hazel woke up because she felt this weight on her body, and when she opened her eyes, she saw Ranon’s face was so close to hers, and only then did she remember what happened.
She was very sleepy last night; thus, she went to bed early right after Ranon took care of her wounds. But then, this man didn’t believe her.
In his smart mind, he thought Hazel wanted to go back to sleep immediately because she actually wanted to leave again in the middle of the night for whatever reason she might have.
Therefore, to take the precaution, he had this brilliant idea to stay the night with her. He slept here on the same bed with Hazel.
Not only that, Ranon even replied to her rejection with a reality and an undeniable fact.
"You know this is not appropriate for us to be together in the same bed before we got married, right?"
Ranon looked at her and scoffed. "What are you going to say, that you are saving yourself for marriage?" He then had the audacity to glance at her stomach. "We have done it before, more than once. There is no need for you to be shy with me."
"I am not being shy with you. I am being appropriate here."
Ranon gave her a mischievous smile. "Really?" He crossed his arms and then leaned his body against the wall as he watched her.
For some reason, Hazel felt like she became prey in Ranon’s eyes; this man really knew how to dominate a conversation.
"Shouldn’t I be worried about myself? Because the last time, if I am not mistaken, you were the one who jumped on me." It was very obvious that Ranon was talking about the time when they visited that designer boutique and what they were doing inside the changing room.
Of course, Hazel would never forget that. Her body wouldn’t forget that. She even started blushing. It was the turning point where she wouldn’t be able to see the city lights the same again.
"Oh, shut up. You enjoyed it too."
"I don’t say that I didn’t," Ranon stated, and thereafter, that he made himself comfortable by going straight to her bed.
He had asked his driver to get him clothes for him to change into. He even used her bathroom, her shampoo, hair conditioner, and her soap; and now when Hazel was very close with him as his body was literally on her, she could smell him like her.
This man was very annoying, but he was so difficult to resist.
"Stop ogling at me. Are you planning to jump on me again now?" Ranon suddenly spoke, even though his eyes were still closed. His sleepy voice was very sexy, though. Deep and lazy.
"You know what? My bed is not small; there is a big space beside you," Hazel groaned when she couldn’t move her body. "Why do you have this great idea to sleep on me? I think I almost died in my sleep. Do you even know how heavy you are? Do you even know that diet exists?"
Hazel was being dramatic. Ranon was in the right weight; considering his height, he was in the perfect shape.
Hearing her exaggerated words, Ranon chuckled at her complaint.
"I thought we were cuddling right now."
"Cuddling? Excuse me?" Hazel grimaced. "You know what? There is a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down. You suffocated me, you know." Hazel pushed him away, but instead, Ranon pulled her even closer, if it was possible.
This man was too much.
"No, I intend to make you pass out, actually."
