"Uh, Old Yang, what's up?" Zhang Guodong asked with a hint of confusion, having been stopped so suddenly by Yang Wucheng.

"Zhang Guizi, let me introduce you," Yang Wucheng said, patting Zhang Guodong's shoulder with the sly smile of an old fox. "This is Lin Kuang, the instructor I specially invited. He's quite the impressive character."

At this, Zhang Guodong took a closer look at Lin Kuang, but he found the man to be completely ordinary. Was there really nothing special about him?

Still, Zhang Guodong knew that while Yang Wucheng could be hot-tempered, he was an honest man, which only deepened his puzzlement. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Ahem, Old Yang, you know my personality. I'll be direct. I honestly don't see anything special about Lin Kuang," Zhang Guodong said, still confused.

"Nonsense. If it were obvious, would it still be special? In any case, with your status, you can look up his file. I'll tell you more later." With that, Yang Wucheng turned his gaze to Lin Kuang.

"Lin Kuang, you go with them for now. We'll all have lunch together at noon," Yang Wucheng said with a smile.

Lin Kuang shrugged and nodded with a smile of his own. He didn't say anything, as Yang Wucheng was right. Given Zhang Guodong's status, investigating him would be simple. He was, however, a bit puzzled by Yang Wucheng's intentions, not understanding why he would point this out to Zhang Guodong.

But Lin Kuang was certain Yang Wucheng wouldn't harm him, and that was enough.

With that thought, Lin Kuang led the men from the Seal Special Team and followed Liang Kai toward their quarters.

"Old Yang, who is this kid, really? Why do you hold him in such high regard?" Zhang Guodong asked, falling into step beside Yang Wucheng.

"Regard? Damn it, if I could get this kid to join the East Sea Military Region, I'd hand over the Seal Special Team without a second thought!" Yang Wucheng said, annoyed.

Hearing this, Zhang Guodong was stunned. He knew the Seal Special Team was the culmination of Yang Wucheng's life's work. For him to be willing to trade it all for one man showed just how much he valued Lin Kuang.

"Old Yang, who is he exactly?" At this point, Zhang Guodong's expression grew serious.

Taking a deep breath, Yang Wucheng said solemnly, "The Wild Wolf Special Forces. The King of the Wild Wolves. Lin Kuang, from the Lin Family of Yanjing!"

"What? Him? It's really *that* Lin Kuang?!" Zhang Guodong's face was a mask of pure shock.

The Wild Wolf Special Forces were the elite of the nation's elite. To become the King of the Wild Wolves was practically the highest honor a special forces soldier could achieve. Zhang Guodong was also well aware of what Lin Kuang had done in America; otherwise, he wouldn't have been imprisoned on Devil's Island for a year.

"That's right, *that* Lin Kuang. So, what do you think? Would you trade your Thunderhawk Special Forces for him?" Yang Wucheng asked with a sly grin, seeing Zhang Guodong's shocked expression.

"Damn right I'd trade! Hell, forget just my Thunderhawks; I'd throw in two more special forces teams if I could!" Zhang Guodong said with excitement.

Zhang Guodong was no fool. He valued more than just Lin Kuang's individual capabilities; after all, one person's strength could never surpass that of an entire team. However, he also knew that an exceptional leader could forge an even more exceptional team!

"Old Yang, where did you find such a treasure?" Zhang Guodong asked eagerly, his eyes burning with intensity.

Seeing this, Yang Wucheng looked smug. "Hmph, Zhang Guizi, don't even think about getting any ideas about this kid. He's my future son-in-law. Heh heh, how about that? My daughter has good taste, right?" As he spoke, the pride on Yang Wucheng's face became even more pronounced.

Hearing this, Zhang Guodong was stunned for a moment before asking, "Which daughter? Ruotong or Ruoxi?"

"Ruoxi, of course!" Yang Wucheng snapped.

"Uh, Old Yang, don't mess with me. I know all about Ruoxi's situation." Zhang Guodong didn't finish his sentence, but his meaning was obvious: Yang Ruoxi didn't have many years left to live.

"That's where you're wrong. This kid saved Ruoxi. She'll make a full recovery soon; she's not going to die," Yang Wucheng said, not angered in the slightest but genuinely happy.

Zhang Guodong was stunned for a moment before his face broke into a wide, joyful smile. "Really? That's fantastic news!" He then feigned annoyance as he continued, "You old rascal, why didn't you tell me such great news sooner? You're heartless."

Zhang Guodong was keenly aware of Yang Wucheng's predicament. His older daughter, Yang Ruotong, was a widow left to raise her child alone, while his younger daughter, Yang Ruoxi, was gravely ill with only a few years left to live. In many ways, Yang Wucheng was a pitiable man. Now that Yang Ruoxi was cured, Zhang Guodong was truly happy for his old friend.

"Haha, I was planning to tell you when I got here! Hehe, Old Zhang, looks like your Thunderhawks are going to lose this time," Yang Wucheng said with a smug smirk.

The thought of Zhang Guodong's face turning red with defeat filled Yang Wucheng with immense joy. What a delightful scene!

"Hmph, not necessarily. Lin Kuang may be the King of the Wild Wolves, but your Seals aren't his Wild Wolves. Besides, our Thunderhawks are very strong. You might be the one who loses this time," Zhang Guodong retorted defiantly. Still, the thought of Lin Kuang as an opposing instructor made him extremely wary.

Yang Wucheng remained noncommittal, then his expression turned serious. "Old Zhang, I'm planning to align with the Lin Family. And I hope you'll join me."

Hearing this, Zhang Guodong's body tensed for a moment before he relaxed again. "Old friend, bringing up Lin Kuang, telling me he's your future son-in-law... this was your plan all along, wasn't it?"

"It was. You know as well as I do that some people want to harm this country. Old Master Lin probably doesn't have many years left. I don't want certain people to take advantage of the situation and move against the Lin Family—or the country—after the old general passes away. We are both well aware of Old Master Lin's contributions, and I trust Lin Kuang. This time, I've made my decision," Yang Wucheng said earnestly.

He had brought up Lin Kuang specifically to persuade Zhang Guodong to align with the Lin Family.

The Lin Family appeared powerful now, but that was only because Old Master Lin was still alive. If he were to pass away, the family would surely be plunged into irreparable ruin.

Yang Wucheng saw this with perfect clarity, and as his old friend, Zhang Guodong surely understood it as well.

Gazing at Yang Wucheng's dead-serious face, Zhang Guodong shook his head with a wry smile. "Old Yang, you're really putting me in a difficult position!"
