Chapter 45: Chapter 45 Ruoxi in Trouble

"How is that possible? Do I look like someone who would deceive others?" Lin Kuang asked with an aggrieved look, scratching his head.

Yang Ruoxi studied him carefully, her large eyes sparkling, before she said with a grin, "Hmm, you certainly do!"

Hearing this, Lin Kuang rolled his eyes. "You know that’s not true!" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

She giggled. "Alright, I’ll stop teasing you. Give me your phone." Yang Ruoxi smiled, extending her slender hand for his phone.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang immediately pulled the phone from his pocket and handed it to her.

Yang Ruoxi took it, quickly tapped a few keys, and a moment later, her own phone began to ring in her pocket.

"There, that’s my number." As she spoke, Yang Ruoxi handed the phone back to Lin Kuang, her large eyes crinkling in a smile.

For some reason, looking at Yang Ruoxi made Lin Kuang feel a deep sense of fondness, along with a stirring of protectiveness.

Taking his phone back, Lin Kuang smiled and asked, "Alright, will you be here again tomorrow?"

"Of course. I’m leaving now, see you tomorrow."

With those words, Yang Ruoxi waved to Lin Kuang, turned, and left, her ponytail swaying happily behind her.

Watching her leave, Lin Kuang suddenly felt a pang of reluctance. Still, he smiled and turned to go.

But just as his gaze was about to leave her, he saw her suddenly stagger.

The next moment, she seemed to faint and was about to collapse!

Lin Kuang’s expression changed dramatically as he dashed forward. He no longer cared about attracting attention. He moved like a flash of lightning, vanishing from his spot and reappearing just in time to catch Yang Ruoxi in his arms.

Holding her, Lin Kuang quickly examined her. Her pretty face had turned deathly pale, her body trembled slightly, and she had her arms wrapped around herself as if she were freezing.

"Ruoxi, Ruoxi, what’s wrong? What happened?" Lin Kuang asked hurriedly.

"It’s... it’s nothing, Running Boy. C-Could you please take me home?" Yang Ruoxi looked up at him, and although she was clearly unwell, there was still a hint of a smile in her large eyes.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang nodded emphatically. "Of course. I’ll carry you on my back. Just tell me where to go."

With that, he lifted Yang Ruoxi onto his back. Her soft breasts pressed against him, a surprisingly comfortable sensation. However, Lin Kuang had no improper thoughts at that moment; his only concern was getting Yang Ruoxi home quickly.

Yang Ruoxi’s pale face flushed. It was the first time she had ever been so intimate with a man. As Lin Kuang started to run, her chest bounced against his back with every step, making her even more shy. Her body, which had felt cold just moments ago, now began to feel faintly warm.

Lin Kuang didn’t know what was going through her mind. He was just anxious to get her home. He would have to wait until she was feeling better to ask what had happened to her.

Following Yang Ruoxi’s directions, Lin Kuang arrived at a villa. Once she confirmed it was the right place, he entered the estate and went through the front door.

Just as Lin Kuang stepped inside, a crisp voice called out, "Who are you?"

Lin Kuang turned to look. To his right stood a little girl, about five or six years old, dressed in cartoon pajamas. With her delicate face and ear-length hair, her dainty appearance was incredibly cute, like a living doll.

Before Lin Kuang could speak, Yang Ruoxi said from his back, "Xinxin, this is your Auntie’s friend."

Her voice was weak, and it was obvious her condition was poor.

"Oh, so he’s Auntie’s boyfriend? He’s not bad looking." The little girl, Xinxin, sized up Lin Kuang with her big, innocent eyes, nodding periodically with a critical air.

Lin Kuang broke into a cold sweat. How can this little girl act like such a grown-up?

On Lin Kuang’s back, Yang Ruoxi’s pretty face turned an even deeper shade of red. She shot an irritated glance at Xinxin with her sparkling eyes.

"You little rascal, if you keep talking nonsense, you’ll see how I deal with you!" Yang Ruoxi said irritably, though she couldn’t really be angry with the little girl she was so fond of.

"Ruoxi, where should I put you down?" Lin Kuang asked.

"The sofa is fine," Yang Ruoxi said weakly.

Lin Kuang quickly nodded and carefully set Yang Ruoxi down on the sofa.

"Xinxin, go get your mother," Yang Ruoxi told the little girl beside her.

"Okay, I’m going! Auntie, did you bring your boyfriend home to meet the family?" Xinxin asked with a curious look on her face.

Lin Kuang broke out in another sweat. How old is this kid? How does she know so much?

"You little brat, just go!" Yang Ruoxi said, exasperated.

"As you command!" Xinxin giggled and ran upstairs barefoot.

A short while later, a beautiful, mature woman who looked to be in her thirties came down the stairs.

The moment he saw her, Lin Kuang’s gaze froze. She was stunningly beautiful, with long, silky black hair. Her dark eyes shone beneath gracefully arched eyebrows, and her face, with its tall nose and rosy lips, was captivating. Perhaps it was because she was a mother, but her youthful face possessed a unique, mature charm—an allure that younger women simply couldn’t replicate.

She must have just woken up, as she was wearing a sheer nightgown that hinted at the figure beneath. Her full breasts were perfectly proportioned, complemented by shapely hips and long, sexy legs. Every part of her exuded a tempting charm.

Upon closer inspection, her features bore some resemblance to Yang Ruoxi’s, suggesting they might be sisters.

Lin Kuang quickly snapped out of his daze. After all, he was in someone else’s home; it was rude to stare so intently at a woman.

When the woman coming down the stairs saw Yang Ruoxi’s condition, concern flashed in her eyes, and she hurried to her side.

"Ruoxi, are you in pain again?"

Yang Ruotong looked at her younger sister with distress, her heart filled with helplessness. If only my sister didn’t have this strange illness... But fate can be cruel and unforgiving.
