Use Me Like A Drug (omegaverse bl)-Chapter 122: Where did you go?
The sun is starting to set.
I lift my face to feel its soft heat with my eyes closed.
It’s nice.
I wish Sehwa hadn’t ruined it.
"You look pretty under the sunlight" Chan’s voice says and I open my eyes to look at him, the way he’s looking at me...
It feels wrong.
"Stop looking at me like that" I growl at him and he bows his head.
"You really don’t like me" he chuckles, his ears turning red despite my aggression.
"No, no I don’t" I say truthfully and he sighs.
"It’s okay, I’ll show you...I’m a good person" he says and I turn my face away with a sigh.
"Matcha" I say and he points to a store ahead of us.
"We get your phone and get your matcha" he says with an excited look.
He looks more excited about getting my phone than I am.
Funny.
I gesture for him to lead the way, and he looks at me suspiciously.
"I’m not running away" I say with a heavy sigh, this has become the theme of our day.
To run or not to run.
"Follow me, stay near" he says and begins to walk, taking deliberately slow steps.
I follow behind him into the phone shop and he stands by, letting me explore the space.
He says I can choose what I want for myself, so I pick an older version phone.
The exact one I had been using before it was taken away from me and before I arrived at the Kangs.
"How much is this?" I ask the female store attendant, and Chan comes over to my side to look at it.
"It’s like your old one" he notes and I nod, waiting for the attendant’s response.
"Wouldn’t a new one be better" he mutters and the store attendant nods in agreement, "a newer version is far more helpful" she says eagerly.
"I want this one" I insist but he doesn’t budge.
"You need the best...only the best" he says and I take the new version rudely from his hand.
He smiles at me when I do and I smell his ocean scent mildly, like he is projecting it for me.
I want to scold him but the way my stomach immediately eases up.
The smell seems to make the tension from seeing Sehwa disappear.
"Are you okay?" he asks and turn away from him, not willing to let him know how much his scent helps me.
"Will you sit? I’ll have them set up the phone for you" he says to me and shrug, he chose it after all, he can set it up.
"Will you wait in the café?" he asks and I nod, I have never sat in a café just for...sitting’s sake.
"You nod a lot" Chan says as he walks me to the café.
"You talk a lot" I say and he chuckles, "I don’t plan to talk less, I like talking to you" he says and I shake my head.
The café smells divine as I take a seat and get comfortable.
The smell of sweet drinks and snacks fill my nose, I don’t feel like eating any of them, I just sit and watch.
So, this is how normal people live.
Simply, happily and easily.
It doesn’t take long before Chan returns with my new phone.
He takes the seat in front of me and stiffens.
"What’s wrong?" I ask, worried about how he looks rigid.
"Let us return, it’s getting late, I shouldn’t have kept you out this long" he says and comes to my side to help me up.
"Really, you need to stop treating me like a weak man" I hiss at him, getting up by myself.
"I know" he says.
In the car, Chan doesn’t speak, instead he keeps looking out the window with his jaw clenched.
Eagerly, I type in my sister’s number to let her know I’ve gotten a new phone and that I can talk to her now.
She doesn’t pick up, never did I ever think I’ll see the day Yunah isn’t glued to her phone.
I drop a text and for her, knowing that she would return the text when she sees my call.
I haven’t set my phone down for up to two minutes when my phone rings.
"Hello?" my sister’s bright voice comes through and my omega howls happily.
"Yuyu, it’s me, Yujun" I say.
"Oppa!" she calls out and my scent fills the car, warm and pleased.
"Oppa, I miss you, have you been well?" she asks and I hum.
"Oppa, will I be able to visit you soon?" her voice comes out softer.
"I will..." I say and look at Chan, the alpha is still looking out the window.
"I will see how to make it work" I say into the phone quietly.
"I love you, I will talk to you tomorrow" I say and she sighs.
"I love you too oppa" she says and we end the call.
Chan leans forward to mumble something to his driver.
The car comes to a stop, and he steps out of it.
"What’s going on?" I ask him, worried by the sudden stiffness and stopping.
The alpha leans down to look at me through the window with a smile.
"I will be home in a few hours" he says and waves, signaling the driver to keep going.
I don’t really care about him or where he’s going to, I am only worried about how I will be treated in his absence.
When I get to the mansion, no one seems to bother with me.
I hear someone whisper; "look away, he’s the Lord’s"
Lord Kang?
Ignoring them I go to bed, waiting and expecting to see Chan coming to knock on my door, hovering like he usually does, but he doesn’t.
Where did Chan go?
Morning comes quickly and I make my way down the stairs with my phone in hand.
Is Chan back?
I find him with a towel around his neck and his body wet with droplets of water sliding down his body.
"Where did you go?" I ask and as he opens his mouth to respond, my phone rings.
I accept the call as soon as I see it’s Yunah.
"Baby-" I say but I am greeted with a loud sob.
"OPPA!" she cries.
"What’s wrong?" I ask as my palm grows cold.
"SEHWA KILLED HERSELF ON OUR GATE" she screams into the phone.
"What?" I ask.
How? That gate is too tall...no one in their right senses would try climbing it.
"H-how? When?" I ask, too shocked to formulate a sentence.
"Last night...I don’t know...I don’t know oppa, it’s really scary" Yunah sobs.
"Last night?" I repeat, and I lift my eyes to look at the alpha who has been watching me with worries hazel eyes.
"Is everything okay?" he asks gently and I step back.
He murdered Sehwa...
"Where were you last night?" I ask as fear fills my body.
I should fear him...
