And even as I could feel myself slipping into some darkened spaces, my mind continued moving as everything started processing in my head.

I did not know what changed or how it happened, but I could see things that I did not remember doing.

Things, that happened when I would always lose consciousness.

By this time, I had already lost connection with what was happening outside.

And this time I was sure that the blasted other side of me I had been oblivious to all along must have taken over my body again.

But this time I wasn't scared as I shockingly continued glancing at the item that has appeared in front of me inside this blackened place.

It was that very thing which had changed my entire world.

It was the book of sin.

--------------------

"Hahh~"

The sound slipped from my throat like a sigh of relief.

My body went still, every muscle relaxing as if I had just crawled out of a cage I'd been trapped in for years.

I stretched my lips wide, stretched until it hurt, but the pain only made it sweeter.

"I'm finally out."

Hundreds of eyes seemed to be staring daggers at my figure, as if I had done a fellony.

But that only made my smile wider as a loud laughter broke out of my lips.

"Hahahaha!

Finally, after so long…so damn long!"

I tilted my head, the sound of my own voice echoing in my ears, unfamiliar yet so bewildering.

I had finally taken over the boy again.

Hmph*

I snorted, 'that Damien had been able to somehow restrict me taking control over this body after the last time, but not anymore-'

I could see the boy's pitiful self trembling in our soul space, as he was further pushed

down by me, buried where he belonged.

And now?

Now it was my turn.

My eyes scanned the hall, and I could see their faces.

Pixie, the girl Noah cared so much for seemed to be at her last leg, as if she would faint at a moment's notice.

That bastard Venus was watching me like he had seen a ghost, while the heirs and elders stood frozen in confusion.

Their fear rolled off them in waves, warm and delicious.

"I've been waiting," I whispered, though it wasn't for them.

It was for me.

For him, the weak half that caged me away. "

'I've been waiting for this exact moment. For the day you would go against your family. For the day I would finally be able to get my revenge on them.'

I spread my arms wide, like I was a magician about to reveal his final trick.

The sleeves of my shirt fell loose as my fingers curled, trembling with the excitement burning inside me.

"This family…hah, this rotten, suffocating family. All I've ever wanted—" My voice slowed, a giddy grin on my lips, "...was to kill all of you."

The hall went silent.

Every word I spoke painted the air darker, heavier.

They all looked at me as if they couldn't believe what they were hearing, as if no matter what happened, the Noah they knew could never actually like this, say things like these—

It almost looked like they weren't sure if I was joking or not, pixie included.

I tilted my head back, eyes rolling as I drew in a deep breath.

Power stirred inside me.

Not his.

But mine.

My lips curled into a whisper.

"The Body of Sin…awaken."

The world shifted.

A ripple spread through my body.

It wasn't Noah's calm, measured strength.

The one that could drain an enemy's mana or snatch someone's soul away.

No.

It was mine, raw, unchained, and violent.

My veins burned as if molten metal had been poured inside them.

My jaw clenched, but the smile never faded as the sin inside me roared awake.

"Noah…?"

The voice came from inside my mind.

It was Damien.

His tone wasn't commanding, not even confident.

I turned to him slowly, my hazel-tinted eyes locking onto his. The fear in his gaze only made me laugh again.

"H-how ca-can you do this?" Damien demanded, his voice wavering as he pointed toward me.

"This wasn't the power Noah recieved in the first place..."

I chuckled, raising my hand, fingers twitching as though I was pulling strings he couldn't see.

"Oh, Damien, Damien…you really don't get it, do you?"

"Explain yourself!"

I leaned forward slightly, my grin sharp,

voice low but cutting through the silence.

"You see…Noah and I are not the same. We split into two different souls the day he awakened his sinful body.

He got his pretty little conscience, his fears, his pathetic desire to protect people, and along with it he unlocked the soul aspect of the Sin of Gluttony.

"My laugh deranged, "and I got the hunger."

Damien's eyes widened. "Two souls…?"

"Exactly." I spread my arms again, spinning slowly, loving the idea of putting on a show.

"Two halves of the same cursed body. That gave me access to the physical aspect of the Sinful Body's powers…while the other half stayed with him."

I stopped, looking straight into Damien's horrified blue blood of a face in our shared mind space.

The corners of my lips rising upwards. "And guess what? I got the stronger half."

He trembled a centimetre back, imaginary

lips moving without sound until the words finally crawled out of him.

"T-Then the Noah we know...only had the weaker part?"

"Yes!" I shouted, my voice cracking with delight.

"That fragile boy, always trembling, always pretending to be strong, he was nothing but scraps.

And I…hahahaha, I AM THE FEAST!"

The footpath was thick with silence, but I could hear it, their hearts beating faster, their throats tightening, their fear spilling like nectar.

And I wanted to drink it all.

Somewhere behind my mind, the faint chime of the God's System rang into my ears.

'Heh, it must be that stupid author giving me another one of those bullshit missions.'

And lo and behold.
