She didn’t even participate in the Great Battle of Year 1895, and this was why Zaratul’s act of making all men impotent in his last act of pettiness infuriated this S Rank Sovereign than any other sin the Great Villain had ever committed in his lifetime.

Queen Mirabel never truly hated Zaratul till that moment, and since then she vowed that if Zaratul ever came back, she would be one of the most fervent people who’ll give their all to see him truly dead.

She would do everything to hunt him down and put him 6 feet under!

Because, how dare he?

Singlehandedly, Zaratul’s act 10 years ago had caused the population of the entire world to drop drastically.

This was why the moment she got the news from the Kingdom of Falaniondor, delivered by Councilor Ben himself, she followed him that same night to Falaniondor as she was wary of Zaratul attacking that night while she was still contemplating when to go help.

And when Zaratul didn’t attack that night, Queen Mirabel started plotting as she instantly became the leader of the sudden alliance.

If the 3 Councilors felt aggrieved by her act of suddenly making herself the leader of the alliance, they didn’t show it.

Queen Mirabel didn’t exactly know when or in what way Zaratul would attack, but judging from the psychological profile of the madman that she’d read for over 10 years, she was 100% sure that he’ll attack even if just to soothe his ego for Falaniondor abandoning him.

In the past few days, Queen Mirabel secretly summoned her 2 strongest Senior Attendants to Falaniondor- a Level 91 Archer, a female, and a Level 89 Druid, a male.

With Queen Mirabel herself present, this was the strongest force of the Evergreen Kingdom and now, they just combined their power with the Falaniondor Kingdom, and then they waited.

When the A Rank Assassin and Mage infiltrated into the city, they instantly detected their presence as Zaratul’s subordinates though they didn’t detect the presence of the A Rank Illusionist at first because she changed her appearance.

The moment they saw them, they knew the trap was on.

They acted oblivious to their presence, letting them have their way with the bank even as the Illusionist stole the Central Bank manager’s identity!

The Councilors’ hearts ached but they dared not oppose the Elven Matriarch with narcissistic tendencies.

Queen Mirabel called for patience as they let the Villains do what they wanted, while she waited for the big fish to emerge- Zaratul.

But he never came, and the raid started.

When Dreadmoor appeared in a state of stealth, she couldn’t see it. Zaratul’s Demon Castle was an Ancient S Rank Artifact that could even evade the perception of an S Rank Archer Sovereign in its stealth state.

Stealth was one of its greatest attributes.

Unable to see the castle floating in the sky, Queen Mirabel waited and waited and when she saw no one else except the Assassin, Mage, Illusionist, and Necromancer, she felt disappointed but she decided to start the ambush.

But they didn’t start immediately.

Instead, Queen Mirabel brought out an S Rank Artifact, a bracelet with spatial powers that could lock space for a period of time!

With it, this Elven Queen locked the space in and around the City of Falaniondor to prevent any of the 4 Awakened serving Zaratul from escaping.

She planned to kill all 4 of them as an act of revenge against Zaratul.

And finally, with Councilor Ben already engaging the Necromancer in the Western part of the city, she led the true attack.

"Follow my lead".

"Let’s deal a big blow to Zaratul and teach him a lesson to never forget".

With the S Rank Spatial Artifact, Veil Clipper, Queen Mirabel tore a rift in space and stepped into it, emerging outside the Central Bank of Falaniondor.

Then, she unleashed her domain.

Domain Expansion: Altar of False Proximity!

As her domain spread, encompassing the entire city, the remaining 2 Councilors of Falaniondor and her 2 Senior Attendants also stepped through the rift, encircling the Central Bank in a tight ambush!

When the domain expansion took effect, spreading and overlapping with reality with the Central Bank as its heart, Dante, Xoreth, and Pandora instantly felt like they just stepped into a quagmire.

They were trapped!

Xoreth instantly crouched like a Cat, baring her fangs and revealing her claws as she hissed at her surroundings even as her thick hair stood on end.

Her qi erupted around her in a protective swirl.

Dante immediately stepped into the shadows to escape, but he was pulled right back to where he came from.

His eyes widened in horror. "Domain Overlap!"

The moment the domain took effect, as a veteran A Rank Assassin, Dante deduced the domain law instantly.

Within the zone of the domain, the domain owner was untouchable. She may seem close, but she was infinitely separated from all her enemies, embodying the concept of false proximity.

It didn’t matter what skill was used, it didn’t matter the mode of attack, it would never reach her because she was in a distance too far to be touched.

She was untouchable.

The more you look, the less you see.

Dante didn’t even try to use his own domain because instinctively, he sensed that his domain could not withstand the sheer qi density of this domain.

This unknown enemy was more powerful than him!

This was why he tried to escape and the moment he couldn’t, he realized that this domain expansion had a second law- Domain Overlap!

The second law was spatial lock.

Nobody was allowed to teleport out of the range of the domain, even if this meant stepping through shadows!

Unlike the Mage and the Assassin, as a Level 90+ Awakened, Pandora detected far more than the 2 of them.

Having been subjected to the domain influence of her mother, the Empress for literally all of her growing years, she could innately differentiate the domain of an S Rank Sovereign from an A Rank powerhouse.

’An S Rank Sovereign!’ Pandora realized the moment the domain took effect as her heartbeat instantly accelerated.

Despite the fact that’s she’d grown by a few levels already since running away from home, Pandora still knew that she stood no chance in front of her mother.

Just like Pandora, having grown up under the overwhelming power of his father, a true S Rank Death Sovereign, Bruno knew what it felt like to be under the influence of an S Rank Sovereign’s domain.

’An S Rank Sovereign,’ his eyes narrowed. ’This is an ambush!’

But Bruno didn’t panic.

He didn’t panic because just like Pandora, he knew he had allies and also because this being an ambush meant he no longer had any reason to hold back.

The Necromancer’s sinister blueish gray qi erupted like a tsunami.

Raise Legion!

This time, Bruno no longer opened the door to the underworld as instead, he called on his own Undead Legion that he’d been building for decades.

Instantly, more than 100,000 undead creatures responded to the call of their master as they started burrowing out of the ground!

The undead creatures in Bruno’s Undead Legion were stronger than regular undead summoned from the Underworld having been nurtured by their master.

The regular zombies and undead skeletons were stronger, sturdier.

The Ghouls were bigger and faster.

Apart from the regular 3 types of undead, there were also Exploding Corpses in Bruno’s Undead Legion- a bloated form of zombie with devastating single-target damage and the ability to detonate to deal AOE damage.

Apart from the 4 types, Bruno also had Undead Colossus in his Legion.

These massive undead abominations were at least 5 meters tall, they were the true incarnates of death and the underworld, harbingers of catastrophe!

When they emerged, the atmosphere thickened with death qi even as their movements made the ground quake.
