Chapter 73: Princess Puck joins the battle

The moment Lord Zaratul sent her to go reinforce Pandora, Dante, and Xoreth, despite how unwilling she was, she obeyed.

Another reason why she obeyed was because she knew how much danger the 3 of them were in.

Apart from Pandora, both Dante and Xoreth were out-leveled by every single one of the four opponents that were currently attacking them.

With her special sight and skills as both an Archer and a Fairy, she was able to see the truth surrounding the Central Bank immediately on getting close, realizing that the same S Rank Artifact have been used to lock the bank and isolate it from the outside world.

Puck’s face became solemn.

She knew she didn’t have the offensive power to break through the defense of a barrier formed by an S Rank Artifact, and it was never her style to use brute force to break everything in the first place.

Instead of mindlessly trying to force her way in, she made a wish.

"I have a wish".

BZZZ!

Wish Echo!

Immediately, an otherworldly monster materialized before her.

This was a massive golden, translucent serpent with amber eyes that shone like crystalized luck with a predatory instinct hidden in their depths.

This was a Luck Beast, the Amber Glass Serpent.

"What is your wish?" An ancient, gentle voice echoed directly in Puck’s head.

The Fairy Princess took a deep breath. "I wish for my qi that is currently locked to be unlocked, returning me to my peak battle state".

The ancient Amber Glass Serpent’s eyes flickered. "Your price is, 100% of your qi will be locked for a week!"

Puck’s eyelids quivered.

She expected this. Knowing that her current wish was overriding the penalty that she already paid for a previous wish, she knew the penalty was going to be bigger than what she expected but she still didn’t expect it to be this stringent.

Losing 100% of her qi meant she would no longer be an Awakened, she would literally be the weakest person in the entire world, and for a week!

Just thinking of it made her body shudder in dread, but she knew she had no time. "I agree". She said seriously.

The Amber Glass Serpent disappeared, and instantly Puck felt the bottomless wells of her previously locked qi becoming unlocked.

Her whole being brimmed with power but even with this power, she knew that she couldn’t break the barrier of an S Rank Artifact.

She hesitated.

It was during this time that Susan, the Level 91 Elf’s arrow injured Xoreth. Seeing this, Puck no longer hesitated as she said. "I have another wish".

BZZZ!

Wish Echo!

This time, Puck dared not call the other neutral Luck Beasts that she knew to supervise her wish as instead, she called upon her favorite Luck Beast, the Dragon and the Guardian.

Instantly, a luminous Chinese Ivory Dragon stepped out of the void in front of her with a beautiful black woman floating beside the Dragon.

"You have another wish?" The black woman spoke in place of the Dragon as she politely asked this time in a feminine voice instead of the ancient voice of the Ivory Dragon.

Puck nodded seriously, then she pointed at the Central Bank. "I want to enter inside this building".

The beautiful black lady looked at the Central Bank building. "You have to pay a price".

Puck nodded.

The beautiful black lady with shaved white hair looked at her, then she smiled. "For 1 week, walk the world alone as a pilgrim while you’ve lost your powers to understand the essence of being weak".

Puck shuddered. ’Walk the world while I’m weak?’

She almost instinctively refused it, but in hindsight, the Guardian was being lenient on her. She could think of much worse penalties to give herself.

Puck nodded and agreed, then the Chinese Ivory Dragon and the beautiful black lady disappeared.

With this stunt, making 3 wishes within a single month, Puck could sense that she’d used up all of her luck for the whole month, meaning she would be unlucky for the rest of the month.

Knowing that she was going to lose all of her qi and abilities after tonight, she felt apprehensive at the fate of being unlucky.

But she put those worries behind her and focused, what mattered now was helping Pandora, Dante, and Xoreth.

Puck looked inside the Central Bank again just in time to witness the powerful explosion that damaged Dante, then she faded from outside the bank.

BZZZ!

By the time she materialized back in reality, she was inside the Central Bank!

...

BZZZ!

The moment the Fairy suddenly entered inside the Central Bank, her dense qi flowing around her body, every single one of the A Rank powerhouses inside the building reacted with surprise.

The Centaurs stared in bewilderment, Moore, Pandora, Dante, and Xoreth looked at her in surprise while Susan’s eyes widened in shock.

’How did she do it?’ She was shaken.

Dead-eye Focus!

Puck’s green eyes became deep and defined as her perception of time accelerated.

Before any of them could recover from their shock, she was already moving as a white bone bow suddenly appeared in her left hand with a brown quiver full of arrows materializing on her back.

In one smooth, swift and fluid motion, she nocked over 10 arrows in her bow while they were still yet to react.

She pulled the bowstring back and aimed, then her qi flared.

Multi-Target Lock!

Instant Draw!

Mark of the Prey!

Qi Construct Arrows!

Vital Point Shot!

Rain of Arrows!

Puck locked in and activated 6 skills simultaneously!

The Level 70 A Rank Skill, Multi-Target Lock enabled Puck to target all 4 opponents inside the bank hall simultaneously.

The Level 80 Skill, Instant Draw enabled her to fire arrows without any wind-up, while Mark of the Prey, a Level 45 Skill marked all 4 of her enemies to take increased damage from her arrows.

With Qi Construct Arrows, a Level 80 Skill, Puck gained the ability to imbue every single one of the arrows in her bow with a different qi debuff effect like Bleed, Slow, Paralysis, Decay, etc.

With Vital Point Shot, her Pathway Skill as an A Rank Sniper, every shot from her arrow would precisely target the organs, weak points, and qi nodes of her opponent for crippling damage.

And with Rain of Arrows, Puck multiplied every single arrow on her bow countless times over, turning her attack into an AOE barrage.

Puck finally released the bowstring.

POW!

Hell descended on the Central Bank of Falaniondor from inside!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

...

At the same time that this happened in the Central Bank, high up in the sky and deep inside Dreadmoor, an anomaly happened.
