Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives-Chapter 1078: No Loot
Villain Ch 1078. No Loot
Though his attacks were fast and accurate, the creature's immense size and durability meant its HP bar barely budged. Still, Allen knew that if he could just weaken the leg enough, it would collapse under its own weight.
The Guardian, its movements sluggish but still powerful, attempted to swing its jagged sword in retaliation. The massive blade cut through the air with a deafening whoosh, but Allen was quick on his feet. He darted to the side, avoiding the strike by a hair's breadth. The ground shook as the sword smashed into the stone floor, creating yet another crater in the already battle-scarred chamber.
"Not yet," Allen muttered to himself, gritting his teeth. He could see the cracks spreading through the Guardian's leg, but it wasn't enough to stop it completely. He needed to push harder, and fast.
Allen pressed on, his sword flashing as he continued to hack away at the Guardian's leg. Finally, after several more relentless strikes, the cracks widened, and with a sharp cracking sound, the Guardian's leg gave way. The stone limb shattered under the force of Allen's attack, and the giant statue began to teeter.
The Guardian stumbled, its balance thrown off by the sudden loss of its leg. Its massive body tilted dangerously to one side, and with a low, rumbling groan, the stone giant collapsed to the ground. The sound of the impact echoed through the room as the Guardian fell, sending dust and debris flying into the air.
Allen jumped back, watching as the Guardian's movements slowed. Its remaining HP bar was still half, but the loss of mobility gave Allen the upper hand. He knew that now was his chance to finish the job.
Thinking quickly, Allen glanced at the first Guardian's fallen form, still lying in pieces on the ground nearby. A plan formed in his mind. Using Telekinesis Blast once more, he used his skill on one of the larger fragments of the first Guardian's shattered leg. The heavy chunk of stone trembled, then rose into the air, hovering above the broken sword Guardian.
With a grunt of effort, Allen hurled the massive stone fragment toward the center of the Guardian's chest. The projectile sailed through the air with terrifying speed before slamming into the creature with a bone-shaking impact.
The blow hit dead center, causing the Guardian's entire body to shudder violently. A large crack formed across its chest, and the already weakened stone began to crumble. The creature's HP bar plummeted as the damage registered, the sheer force of the telekinetic strike finally breaking through its defenses.
The Guardian let out one last groan. Its body, now too damaged to sustain itself, began to disintegrate. Stone chunks fell away from its form as it crumbled into a pile of rubble at Allen's feet.
[You have defeated a Goddess Guardian.]
Allen exhaled. The battle had been intense, but he had come out on top.
"Nicely done," Larissa's voice cut through the silence as she approached from the perimeter, her blood tendrils retracting now that the immediate threat was over. "I was about to jump in, but it looks like you handled it."
Allen gave a small nod, still catching his breath. "Figured it out in time. They could only really hurt each other. I should just make them kill each other from the beginning. But the sword one was dangerous so I decided to finish it as fast as I could."
Bella walked up beside Allen, her fox ears twitching playfully as she surveyed the remains of the fallen Guardians. "Looks like those stone giants were the main cause of the horde," she said, her voice filled with casual confidence. "Once you took them down, the horde stopped coming. Guess they were controlling everything."
Allen nodded, taking a deep breath. It made sense. The relentless waves of cursed priests and monks had stopped as soon as the Guardians were defeated.
Alice bounced over to Allen, her excitement barely contained. "So, what loot did you get from those Guardians?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Those things were massive! They have to have dropped something amazing, right?"
Allen swiped his hand in front of him, calling upon the game's user interface. His inventory screen appeared before him. He quickly scrolled through the loot he had accumulated during the battle, expecting something substantial from the two massive Goddess Guardians.
But as he scanned through the list, all he found was the usual loot—mostly items from the horde. Coins, tattered robes, bones from the undead monks, the usual share split between him and the girls. There was nothing that indicated any special loot from the Guardians themselves. His brow furrowed in confusion.
"Ugh..." Allen grumbled, his eyes narrowing as he double-checked the inventory. Nothing.
"What's wrong?" Alice asked, noticing the look on his face.

Allen let out a frustrated sigh. "No loot from the Guardians," he said, shaking his head. "I only got the stuff from the horde, and that's it. Not a single item or drop from the two big guys."
Alice's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? That can't be right. You defeated two massive stone Guardians, and you didn't get anything from them?"
Larissa raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "That's odd," she said. "Usually, bosses or mini-bosses always drop something. Even if it's just materials or a special item. Guardians like that should have dropped something valuable." She glanced at the guardians' remains. "Well, those two weren't mini bosses though.
But they looked like one."
"Exactly," Allen muttered. "But there's nothing. No notification, no loot—nothing."
Bella chuckled. "Maybe the Guardians were broke," she joked, her tail swishing behind her. "Or maybe they spent all their loot on stone repairs. Gotta keep that ancient architecture intact, right?"
Allen huffed, though a small smile tugged at his lips. "Yeah, well, next time I'll ask for a receipt."
The team gathered themselves after the battle, and without wasting too much time, they made their way toward the second floor of the cursed monastery. The wide stone staircase, carved into the worn walls.
