Villain Simulator-Chapter 44: Chaos Ritual
In the paradoxical Infinite emptiness of the void, where nothing could exist, there exists endless Chaos.
Harboring creatures of immense power who possess abilities that could destroy the very foundation of the physics we knew.
Known as Chaotic Creatures with no definite size, shape, or form to their existence.
Their only goal was to turn everything back to its most primitive state.
However, Chaotic creatures, although immensely powerful, were not Omnipotent.
Since they belonged to the Chaos, they could not exist anywhere else and could not directly influence a world of living.
But they couldn’t accept such a thing.
It was their instinct as beings of Chaos to turn everything back to Chaos, especially the worlds that birth life.
Therefore, the solution they came up with for this was to use the greed of mortals against themselves.
And so they did...
No one knew when and how it all started, but over some time, people found themselves making transactions with these Chaotic creatures.
Resulting in the infiltration of Chaos energy inside their world, which began corroding that world from inside, slowly assimilating it back into the Chaos.
To be honest, when I first read this story, I was dumbfounded.
And even now, I couldn’t help but have a chill run down my spine, thinking just how frightfully similar this world’s background was to the Nexus world of my novel.
"System, do you have an answer to this?"
[Ding! Back to the host: This is merely a coincidence.]
[There is no deeper meaning behind the world’s background other than to make it easier for the host to have a better understanding of it.]
"Yeah, I guess I’m just thinking too much."
Nonchalantly replying, I rolled on my bed.
My eyes looked at the curtains covering the window that stopped the sunlight from entering the room, making the room seem dim and gloomy.
It mirrored the darkness in my golden eyes, which were squinted and full of foreboding.
Suddenly, I remembered something Seo-ah used to say back in the day.
"What was it again? Journey from Pawn to Player?"
『Caught within a black and white labyrinth of mystery, ensnared by traps, hints, and lies, suspicion slinks through the shadows.』
『In this labyrinth, pawn are you, feigning ignorance your shield, opportunity you seize, leaping across the board.』
"... And becoming a player, table you turn, was it?"
Who knew that Seo-ah’s words of wisdom would one day be so aptly descriptive of my predicament?
Sigh!
Regardless, there was no use worrying about something that was beyond my control.
Instead, it was time to turn my attention to the tasks at hand.
"I need some monster cores."
Without further ado, I grabbed my phone and called Albert, who arrived an hour later with monster cores of level 20, nearly two bags full.
Monster cores could be obtained from the corpse of a high-level monster or from a small number of low-level monsters.
They were a good source of mana used in a multitude of fields, and thus there was always a deficiency for them in the market.
Updat𝓮d from freewēbnoveℓ.com.
Even I couldn’t just go out and buy as many as I wanted.
Of course, these 2 bags were indeed as easy as buying 2 packets of potato chips, but in the future, the amount I needed, would be difficult to get even for me.
Fortunately, in my father’s eyes, I had awakened Dual Class with Ultimate Potential, so he would be much more generous with my financial support.
"Now that the monster cores are here, let’s set up the altar."
I took out some monster cores, crushed them, and started making a pentagram on the floor with their dust, with concentric circles containing patterns surrounding it.
Then I sat cross legged before it, lit a few candles around it, and poured out my mana into it while activating the skill Chaos Ritual.
My mother in this world, when alive, once made a deal with a Chaos worshipper.
She wished for beauty and charm, with which she seduced my father, and in return she received a Chaos curse.
However, for unknown reasons, after her death, her Chaos curse was passed down to me in an upgraded form, called the skill Chaos Ritual.
If the Chaos curse contaminates souls, making the victim suffer from soul wrenching pain, and giving them horrible deaths while making their corpse a source to spread Chaos,
Then Chaos Ritual was a skill that only some extremely fanatical Chaos worshippers had, allowing them to trade with Chaotic creatures on an equal footing.
Of course, only I know that the equal word was just a hoax.
In reality, the holder of the Chaos Ritual, after completing a transaction, had to sacrifice an appropriate amount of living beings to Chaos, or else they themselves would have the risk of getting their souls contaminated.
’But if you know the rules and are rich, it really is a fraudulent skill.’
[Skill Activated: Chaos Ritual]
Slowly, as more and more of my mana was poured, the more those symbols on the altar started to glow.
Swooosh!
Suddenly, in my enclosed room, wind started blowing out of nowhere.
Crackle!
The flames of the candles on the altar flickered.
Kwoong!
An ominous cry resounded throughout the room.
Black smoke spread, and finally, the gates of Chaos descended on the altar.
Clank!
Creak!
I felt an eerie chill down my spine as I gazed at the void beyond the gates of Chaos.
It was endless darkness with gooey, black liquid dripping down from the edges of the gate.
Right away, I turned my gaze, and, without wasting any time, expressed my intention through the mana that was being supplied to the altar.
"Transaction method: Immediate payment. Deadline: Unknown. Objective: Creature Summoning."
After voicing the contents of the deal, I gazed at the gates of Chaos, at that black void.
My level was low, and I wasn’t even worthy enough to know which creature of Chaos was making a transaction with me.
In my mind, I only hoped it was someone I knew from my memory.
And it looked like I didn’t had to wait for long to know, because, a second later, the gates of Chaos started shaking wildly.
Rumble!
Screech!
An incoherent scream came out of it, making my hair stand on end.
But in my mind, I clearly understood what that scream meant.
"Transaction successful."
With that, the scream ended, the two bags of monster cores vanished from my sight, and in their place remained a pure white metal whistle.
’Bingo!’
I screamed in excitement.
The gates of Chaos turned into black smoke and dissipated into the air.
A comforting silence of life once again came back to the room, making my lips curl upwards in a diabolically evil smile.
"Now I just can’t wait for tomorrow, when I will get to see the face of that bitch contorted in terror, hehehe."

General POV:
Few hours later.
The time was 9:00 p.m., and Daisy had just arrived home.
Even though she cut the queue and used that Pig Richard to get ahead, she still had to wait hours for her turn.
Otherwise, she doubted she would even have had the chance before midnight if she had stayed in her previous spot.
Fortunately, Daisy did awaken a Class, and that too with an Excellent potential.
The spectrum of potential in this world was:
Lowest < Low < Medium < Good < Excellent < Ultimate < Legendary
The further one went to the right, the better it was.
Nonetheless, only the world’s elite possessed the Ultimate potential, the highest of any recorded potential.
As for the Legendary, it was only considered a myth.
In that sense, Daisy’s Swordsman Class with Excellent potential was actually a good thing.
But, she wasn’t happy.
Her potential was nothing compared to the Ultimate, let alone someone who even had a Dual Class with Ultimate potential, which was as rare as a meteor landing in your backyard.
Not to mention, even that pig, Richard, had Ultimate potential.
It felt like a cruel joke was being played on her.
And Daisy couldn’t digest such a reality.
She felt like her two dogs had become more talented than her, and were running out of her control.
Actually, no...
Richard was still a loyal, obedient dog, who still wagged his tail around her, no matter how much she scolded or beat him.
It was that bastard Adrian who needed to be taught a lesson.
"Fuck! Fuck! That motherfucker bastard!"
Furious, Daisy continued to curse nonstop as she got inside her room and slammed the door shut.
Bang!
"Daisy, what happened?"
Her mother’s question from the kitchen only made Daisy more furious.
’Why can’t this bitch just shut her mouth for God’s sake?’
’It’s also this bitch’s fault, if only she could earn more, why would I need those muts to fulfill my wishes?’
Daisy blamed it all on her mother, trying to justify her own actions as something she was helpless about.
But she forgot that human greed was insatiable.
Nonetheless, Daisy was still sensible.
She knew that she couldn’t talk back to her mother if she wanted to continue living in this house and have her bills regularly paid.
So she forcibly calmed herself, and replied back.
"Nothing, mother, my hands slipped."
"Did you get hurt somewhere?"
"No, I am alright, I will talk to you tomorrow. I am tired now, so don’t disturb me."
Speaking those last words in an annoyed tone, she punched the pillow, venting her anger.
"Bastard, dog Adrian, how dare you show that attitude to me and humiliate me in public?"
Just remembering what had happened today made Daisy grit her teeth, her expression distorting with rage.
And she punched the pillow even harder.
Bang!
"Know your place, dog."
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Only after venting like that for a few minutes did Daisy feel tired, the acid influx of rage in her stomach fizzled out, and she slumped on her bed.
"It looks like I was too lenient on you, that you forgot who your master is, but I still cannot throw you away."
Heh!
She snorted, and her eyes became venomous.
"Just let me see you tomorrow, my name’s not Daisy if I don’t make you lick my feet and beg for forgiveness."
"HAHAHAHA"
