Villain transmigration: The doll maker.-Chapter 76:Starvation
She walked to the barely conscious man and kicked him right in the balls causing him to jerk fully awake as a scream tore from his mouth.
I chuckled softly. She looked back at me for approval before she kicked him again. The man fell to the side easily.
"Did I do well?"
She asked me loudly, her face still wearing a shy smile.
"You did, let’s go and eat now."
She nodded and kicked the man again in his stomach and ran back to me.
"You cannot leave unless I get a full explanation for attacking my son!"
A powerful voice shouted from the inn doors. Crowds had started to gather clearly looking at the new source of gossip.
At the door was a luxuriously dressed man and following behind him were a few women who I assumed were his whores since they were all trying to hold onto him and the clothes they were wearing barely covered anything.
"Do you really want a reason?"
I asked the moment he was close to me. His eyes widened before they darted to his son who was still holding his family jewels.
"No young master, I was wondering who had graced us with their visit, if my son has committed any mistake please punishment but I beg you do not take his life, he is my only heir."
The man knelt before me and changed his tune, fast. I was hoping for some fun but it seems my eyes had betrayed me again.
"You only have one heir with all these women following behind you, how incompetent must you be?"
I said in a joking manner. Jeneviv moved even closer to me as she glanced at the man. The man flinched and glanced back at his son before turning back to him.
"I am unfortunately cursed to only sire female offspring. It seems I have angered the Gods."
He said pitifully. I ran a hand through my hair suppressing the chuckle that was about to spill out.
"You can leave Viscount Renald but do take this as a warning. I have spared you since you are mother’s subordinate but you must lock your son up for at least a year to learn. Let me not hear he has gone near any woman. I shouldn’t tell you what do next right? Do not disappoint me. "
"Thank you young master."
He bowed his head touching the ground before he stood up and promptly picked up his son and walked out of the inn.
This was the fastest I had seen anyone with his weight walk.
"He’s faster than I thought."
Jeneviv said causing me to chuckle.
"Let’s go and have dinner you haven’t eaten anything. "
She nodded and took my hand. We silently walked back to the others and found they had already finished most of their meals and were talking among themselves.
"You guys ate everything?"
Jeneviv complained the moment her eyes landed on the nearly empty table.
"We didn’t touch your food, who told you to leave first?"
Kianah shot back nonchalantly. Jeneviv glanced at me before sliding her hand out of mine and angrily walking towards Kianah and sitting down next to her.
Kianah leaned forward and picked up a covered plate and placed it in front of Jeneviv.
"It’s still hot, so eat up maybe your breasts can grow bigger."
Kianah teased her while showing her her large breasts. Jeneviv unfortunately glanced down at the visible cleavage then at her near flat chest clearly comparing.
She had fallen into Kianah’s trap again.
"They’re perfect Jen now eat your food everyone is tired and wants to sleep."
I said to the chrestfallen Jeneviv. Her mood sprang up after my compliment. She glanced at Kianah with a smug look on her face and started to eat.
Thankfully kianah didn’t react or more chaos would have resumed.
"Nixie how is your water magic on land?"
I asked. She had been having a bit of trouble with how to handle her magic. Since she focused on water being on land had been a bit of a problem for her.
"Ooh don’t worry master, I’ve gradually mastered the art. "
Water from all the glasses floated in the air as water balls. To make it even better she merged them together and formed a small whirlpool, just like the ones she forms while in the water.
"What if you go to a place with no water near you?"
Seraph asked. I had also been wondering the same. Nixie chuckled softly.
"There is water all around us. I will harvest it from the air, I can feel every bit of water around us."
To prove it a ball of water started to form in her hand. We couldn’t see where it was coming from but the water was increasing in size.
The air around us started to get hotter as the ball grew.
"Okay stop it, that’s enough. "
I said to her. She nodded and the water disappeared from her hand, the surroundings got cooler again.
"How is it?"
She asked excitedly.
"It’s perfect but you also have to learn to control where you want to get water in the air from, you drained the whole room and the temperature suddenly spiked."
Her eyes widened and she nodded.
"I will, thank you for your feedback."
I stood up after noticing that Jeneviv had finished her meal and extended my arm to Seraph who seemed to be almost asleep.
"Seraph, let’s go."
She sleepily took my hand and stood up.
"Master, should I come help with the young lady?"
Luna asked and also stood up. The others also followed as each of them started to go their own way.
Luna had distributed their keys earlier and they all knew where to go.
"Are you sure you don’t want to sleep with me?"
Kianah attempted one last time.
"No."
She shrugged her shoulders and brushed by me leaving her natural herbal scent behind.
"You lose."
That was the last thing I heard before she descended the stairs.
I chuckled.
"Can you help me request hot water, I’ll take it from there after."
Luna glanced at Seraph then at me before she nodded and walked out.
I held Seraph’s waist as we walked down the stairs, she stumbled a little but went back to normal.
"Did you feed before leaving?"
I asked her. This wasn’t normal, falling asleep was okay but stumbling after every few steps wasn’t normal at all.
"Ooh, I forgot. I wanted to come to you but you were so busy with mother."
She mumbled before her eyes closed. What she said startled me. I picked her up and carried her into the room and sat down with her on my lap.
"You should never have done something this stupid, are you trying to starve yourself into being inactive?"
"Sorry."
She mumbled softly. I sighed and removed my shirt throwing it on the floor.
I cut through my neck aiming for the jugular. The moment my blood started to flow Seraph launched biting down painfully as she lapped the overflowing blood.
"Please don’t ever do this, you know the consequences of starving yourself right? I don’t want you going into eternal sleep."
The thought scared me. I held Seraph tighter pulling her closer to me as she drank her fill.
I looked around the luxurious room, according to the city standards. Large soft bed, the carpet was a tiger fur with beautiful blue and white patterns, different kinds of paintings were hung on the wooden walls and the large bathtub in the corner of the room finished everything.
They had really tried to make it as good as possible.
"Done?"
I asked when I felt her fangs withdraw and she started to lap at my skin and blood that had escaped.
"Mmh, I’m sorry about worrying you."
Her voice was barely a whisper. I fell back into the bed letting her sit upright while looking down at me.
"You could have really gone into eternal sleep please don’t ever do that."
I begged her. Seraph can be impulsive sometimes and I was sure this was some sort of tantrum.
"Says the person who starved himself occasionally when he was little."
Now this was a personal attack. I admit I might have gone a bit overboard with my experiments and decided to make myself a test subject but it hadn’t been that bad.
I remember mother slapped me a few times after finding out I had been starving myself.
"That’s different. "
It was for research, there wasn’t any vampire to train experiment on and mother wouldn’t answer.
"Yeah, I get it."
She answered sarcastically and lay on my chest. She placed her ears near my heart and listened.
"Master, may I come in?"
Luna called out after knocking.
"Sure."
She pushed open the door and walked in carrying two large pails of hot boiling water. She poured them in the bathroom, organised everything we needed, and bowed before leaving the room.
"Sit up, let’s take a bath before you sleep."
Seraph didn’t answer. I looked down at my chest to see her fully asleep. I sighed and picked her up and started to remove her clothes.
"This is why you shouldn’t play with your life."
The effect of starvation was catastrophic. Despite her getting blood it would take a day or two before she went back to normal.
"I wouldn’t have let myself starve....I have blood in....my luggage..."
Seraph mumbled sleepily as we descended into the hot water.
