Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!-Chapter 36 -: 35 Give up, peasant!
"The winner of the 10th duel is Jinx Shapewodd!" the professor announced.
The crowd exploded into loud cheers.
"Finally!" someone in the stands shouted.
"Now we get to see the real fight!"
"Yeah," another student agreed with a laugh.
"All those earlier ones were kind of weak compared to these guys."
The professor raised his voice again. "Now we move to the last two duels!"
"I already put my money on Lady Rosalina," a boy bragged.
"Easy win. No one can touch her level."
"Wait, are you forgetting Julius Augustus Hayes?" his friend asked, grinning.
The boy just waved his hand. "Nah. Julius has been following Rosalina around like a lost puppy for weeks. He won’t be any trouble."
"Let’s just watch and see," the friend said with a chuckle.
In the center of the arena, the professor spoke again.
"Time for the next duel! The participants are Rosalina Valentina and Alia Ruth!"
The moment he said their names, the whole crowd went wild, the loudest cheer so far.
"Here we go!" someone yelled. "Finally!"
Down in the arena, Rosalina stepped forward calmly.
Her uniform looked perfect, not a single wrinkle.
Her long black hair swayed gently as she brushed it back with one hand and gave a small, confident smile.
Alia walked in from the other side. Her face was serious, eyes locked on Rosalina with clear anger and dislike.
"Are both of you ready?" the professor asked.
"Hmph," Rosalina let out a quiet, proud snort.
"Yes, Professor," Alia answered firmly.
"Then begin!" the professor shouted. He quickly stepped out of the arena.
The professor had barely stepped out of the arena when Rosalina’s sweet smile disappeared.
A cold, disgusted look filled her eyes.
"Know your place, peasant," she said in a low, mocking voice.
"You’re not my match. Give up now, or you’ll regret it."
Alia didn’t flinch. She took one bold step forward instead.
"How arrogant," Alia shot back. "To think someone as disgusting as you even exists!"
Rosalina sneered and stepped closer too. A slow, wicked grin spread across her face.
"Arrogant? Evil? Call me whatever you want," she said.
"At the end of the day, I’m stronger than you. And I always will be."
"Tsk!" Alia clicked her tongue. "If strength was everything, this world would already be destroyed. Look around! I may not have enough power to beat—"
"Alia! Alia! Alia! Alia!"
The students in the stands started chanting her name. The sound rolled through the arena like a wave.
Rosalina glanced around calmly. Her expression didn’t change at all.
"With their love and support..." Alia said, stepping back. Two bright red circles appeared in her palms.
"Infinite Cast: Summoning!"
She slammed both hands onto the ground.
The red circle shot outward, spreading fast across the dirt floor, growing bigger and bigger.
’I won’t last long,’ Alia thought as the circle stretched wide. ’But I won’t go down easy, Rosalina!’
’I will humiliate you... and that bastard who humiliated me!’
She roared inside her heart.
A massive black lion burst out of the circle, eight feet tall at the shoulder. Its thick mane looked like black flames.
"ROOOAAARRR!!!"
The roar shook the whole arena. The sound hit like thunder. Alia’s view was completely blocked by the giant mane in front of her.
But she didn’t care.
"With their love and support, I will end your evil, Rosalina Valentina!!"
"Alia! Alia! Alia! Alia!"
The cheers grew louder. The more they shouted, the straighter Alia stood. Her confidence soared.
"Alia! Alia! Alia! Al—"
"Magic Arsenal. 5th Form: Absolute Barrier."
A calm voice came from behind Alia.
The moment the words finished, an invisible wall snapped up around the arena.
All the cheering from the stands suddenly cut off. Dead silence inside the barrier.
"She really is such a cliché," the voice said, sounding annoyed.
"I don’t know why, even though she’s pretty, I feel like throwing up just looking at her."
A short pause.
"Anyway... let’s support my wifey!"
"Rose! Rose! Rose! Rose! Do it! Do it!"
Julius’s voice rang out clear and loud in the now-quiet arena. His cheerful cheering echoed all by itself.
"Pfft!"
Rosalina, who had been watching the giant black lion with a bored face, finally couldn’t hold it in.
A small laugh escaped her lips.
She covered her mouth with one hand, eyes sparkling with amusement as she looked straight toward the spot where Julius’s voice came from.
’Yes, that’s right,’ Rosalina thought, her eyes flicking toward Julius.
He was still cheering like a maniac in the silence of the barrier, "Rose! Rose! Rose! Do it, wifey!"
And the sight made her lips twitch into a tiny, secret smile.
:As long as you’re with me, who gives a damn about the cheers of these peasants?’
"Infinite Cast: Mary," she whispered so softly that only her own ears caught the words.
It was the final piece of the incantation.
A glowing red circle snapped into existence right in front of her chest.
She reached forward casually, fingers closing around empty air, and pulled.
A stunning sword materialized in her grip.
The blade looked sharp enough to cut light itself, wicked and elegant, more like a ripper than a normal weapon.
The golden hilt had a small, carved face on it, clearly modeled after Julius, complete with his cheeky grin.
This wasn’t just any sword. It was her personal spell, shaped after him.
Rosalina lifted the hilt to her lips and pressed a soft kiss right on the carved face.
"If you really thought your little ’power of friendship’ nonsense could beat me," she said, voice turning icy while a cruel smile spread across her face, "then I’m sorry, dirty peasant. You’re wrong." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
She kicked off the ground.
The air cracked as she shot forward like an arrow.
"Attack!!" Alia shouted.
The giant black lion reacted instantly.
It reared up, pride burning in its golden eyes, and swung one massive paw down like a falling mountain.
The force alone made the dirt floor tremble.
But in the blink of an eye, Rosalina was gone.
"Roar...?"
The lion froze, confused.
It swung its head left, then right, searching for the tiny human who had just been charging straight at it.
"Roar!!!"
It snorted, thinking she had fled in fear. Its chest puffed with smug victory.
Then its eyes widened.
The world tilted strangely. Its own massive body seemed to stretch farther and farther away from its head.
For one confused heartbeat, it didn’t understand.
And then—
It split cleanly in two.
The two halves crashed to the ground with heavy thuds, black blood spraying across the arena floor.
The lion didn’t even have time to roar again.
The Absolute Barrier shimmered and faded away.
Sound rushed back in, the stunned silence of the crowd, broken only by a few gasps.
Rosalina landed lightly on her feet a few steps away, sword resting casually on her shoulder.
Not a drop of sweat on her perfect face.
She looked down at Alia like she was looking at something mildly annoying.
"Give up, peasant," she said sweetly, tilting her head. "Before I decide to cut off one of your hands next."
