"The Cross city has fallen." – said the holy emperor, alarming everybody in the room as the whispers, complains, accusation and anger instantly started filling up the room.

"What is going on? Wasn't this city supposed to survive the assault according to the theories?"

"What about the children of the holy emperor? Weren't 3 of them present at the scene? How did they failed?"

"Can we even trust this information? What if it is another vampire manipulation?"

"Your majesty." – said the young blond-haired man as he stood up, which ended up getting attention of everybody gathered.

"Forgive me for my rudeness, but I need to ask."

"You may speak, duke Adam." – said the holy emperor as he raised his hand, silencing all the gathered.

"Thank you." – replied duke Adam.

"…As we know, the vampires have become much deadlier threat compare to the before."

"Not only they had became much more technologically advantaged, but with each war, their numbers only grow."

"To make matters worse, the faith of our people are wavering."

"Vampires are right now winning most of the fighter, ever since they had entered our territory."

"Taking it down should be our highest priority."

"Good luck with that." – said the wind dragon queen who was also present in the gathering.

"As much as it annoys me to admit it, but these bastards dominate the sky."

"This proves that the vampires have not completed dominated us, if anything, they showed us their weakness."

"If we make it obvious, the vampires will completely join forces with dragons… And if both of their forces travel together, then taking out the dragons may prove impossible."

"The fanatics of the hell has been far more active in recent times."

"At this rate, it will be the matter of time before they take actions…. Or even worse."

"The heretic churches and their servants decide to join in the war." – said the noblewoman, instantly sparking more fear and chaos amongst the attended.

(They are not wrong. None of them are.) – thought worried holy emperor.

(The dragons turned out to be weaker opponents than we had thought…. But the vampires instead turned to be one of the strongest foes we faced yet.)

(Not only that, but I didn't mentioned the fact that the enemy has somehow found their way inside the holy city…. But how?)

(Did they make their way inside by digging in? Or maybe they had somebody helping them from inside? Like they let them inside….)

(It could be either…. But we don't have any evidence backing either of those claims.)

"Repairing our weapons and equipment will take bit of time, but it shouldn't take too long, meaning that we will be able to push forward once again."

"End of the meeting." – said "Kid" as all of the gathered vampires started leaving the room…. All expect one person.
