[VRMMO] Chaos Doctor-Chapter 432 - 431 – Arthur’s backstory.

"….Okay…I think we are safe? We are safe... Yea, we are safe." – said extremely nervous Coin.

"God fucking dammit…. Why?! Why the hell security here is straight up hellish?! How many fucking items did we used to try and escape them?!" – asked tired Mordred who was trying to catch his breath.

"A lot…. But it is far better than getting spotted even once." – replied Mara.

"Still, what now? We managed to get to the holy castle…. But what now? We are only hallway through this ring and there is still shit tons of guards."

"So…. I'm going to ask you honestly this."

"Are you sure this is in here?" – asked Mara as the group arrived at the alleyway with brick wall dead end.

"Yea…" – said Morina as she approached the brick wall, before then taking out a pendant with that was decorated yellowish diamond.

The priestess put the jeweler near the wall, before moments later a symbol of the holy mother appeared on both the wall and the pendant, which was then fallowed up with the wall moving of its own, revealing a hidden stars that led downwards.

"Common. Before somebody notices." – said Morina as she led the party inside, before then closing off the hidden path.

"…"

"As you remember, I was once here as a saintsess."

"Normally, each church has few saints, but the holy empire has quiet huge amount of it."

"To the point where they had to add a ranking system in order to categorize their saints." – said the female player as the group descended down, before then arriving at the long and darkness covered corridor.

"Like, low rank, mid rank and high rank."

"I was originally a mid-rank saintsess, but I did ended up securing a somewhat good grace of both the Daughter Of Justice and Daughter Of Mercy… Which did ended up with me not only getting a spot in the holy castle, but also allowed me to unlock many different quest."

"Anyway, stuff that, stuff this, blah, blah, blah and stuff."

"Here. This is a exit tunnel that was meant to be used in case of emergency, in case the holy castle would ever fall or if the servants would need some way to get to the safety."

"However, only saints can open this barrier…. Or more exactly, you need this thing, a pendant that works as a key."

"As well as both high divinity and high holy power."

"Without them, you would not be even able to force it open."

"Huh…. But wouldn't they had changed the locks or something? I mean, you did betrayed them and everything." – said Stone.

"Well, yea." – replied Morina.

"But the moment I do, my divine power left me, meaning that I couldn't open this path."

"Well… Until you gave me this new class."

"The [Priest Of Redeemed Sun]."

"Honestly, I'm confused."

"Why didn't you gave that class book to either of those twins? I mean, aren't they your supporters? Why didn't you-"

"We are not priest." – replied the twin fox girls.

"True, we have some priest classes, but that class didn't fitted me." – said the white fox girl.

"And there was really nothing that would work for my sister as competition….So yea…"

"Huh…."

"What are you talking about?" – asked Mara.

"Well, I want to know what the hell is the deal with these two." – said Mordred while staring at the Morina and Arthur.

"I know this guy backstory, about him and the empire, but I never knew he was friends with you."

"You suddenly joined our guild after betraying the holy empire and you are all buddy-buddy with Arthur."

"I've accepted it and all, but what the fuck?"

"Now I'm really curios and everything."

"And now that we also doing 'that' quest right now, I'm only getting more curios."

"What? Are you like siblings? Or maybe lovers?"

"OH FUCK THAT!" – replied both Arthur and Morina as they instantly snapped at Mordred as soon as he spoke those words.

"We are not fucking related or lovers… What the fuck dude?!" – said confused and angry Arthur.

"Yea! I like the guy, but not in a romantic way! Like a bro kind of way! But not fucking love!"

"Well…. The path is long…. So, if you like you can do the backstory or whatever thing you want to talk about." – said Morina as the group continued.

"Fine." – said Arthur as he noticed Mordred's 'puppy eyes' staring at him.

<<It was one of most well-liked starting locations…. But because how it was liked, it was straight up filled with players.>>

<<And because of that, there was a lot of conflict, like hunting grounds sharing or some other bullshit.>>

<<Pretty much, since there was so much players in the area, everybody was getting in everybody's way…. And that obviously resulted in annoying situation.>>

<<An annoying incident that turned the holy empire from the best starting location to the "hardcore" level location.>>

<<Players were killing each other left and right…. And to make matters worse, in the past the entire holy empire was infested to the brim with the demonic cults and stuff.>>

<<Meaning, that you either hunted down these cultists and the churches they were fallowing…. Or you join them.>>

<<And that in turn caused even more bloodshed to spread around.>>

<<Me? Well… Let's just said I "played" their game.>>

<<I went around, killing players left and right…. Players that were either just regular players like me or a members of the cult.>>

<<I was somewhat getting good at PVP and stuff… But it was also very annoying.>>

<<I've thought, "Okay. Enough is enough.">>

<<So I've tried making some friends to form a party…. And I've made one.>>

<<A party of 6 people.>>

<<I wasn't leader of the party per say, but instead Morina was.>>

<<She was the party leader and she had already managed to obtain a rare rarity priest type class, which at that time a rare classes so early on was quite hard to come by.>>

<<At first, things were going well and everything with this new party.>>

<<We were wrecking anybody that got in our way and deal with the members of the cult with ease... But then we got one interesting quest.>>

<<The quest was easy.>>

<<Act as escorts for a noble lady.>>

<<Simple and everything at the first glace… And we completed this quest with ease.>>

<<However, when we tried going back to our base, things happened.>>

<<A carriage was being attacked by a demons.>>

<<Obviously we thought the people needed help so we went down to help out…. But then it turned out to be not some random ass demon attack, but instead a doing of a cult…. A cult that had players in it.>>

"Hey! Stop!" – shouted the cultist player.

"Look! We are already having bit of trouble and stuff…. So how about we make an offer instead?"

<<The cultist players had a bit of trouble with the guards, even with the help of the demons…. So instead of trying to fight us, they tried to hire us.>>

<<Obviously we refused…. But then they straight up offered us huge amount of money from get go…. And that made us falter.>>

"?!"

"Wait?! Is that a little girl!?" – asked Arthur.

<<A little girl that deployed a barrier was being attacked by a giant demon.>>

<<Turns out that they goal was to kill this little girl.>>

<<Honestly…. I knew people called NPCs a…. Well, just advanced AI…. But we really couldn't stand them just killing a little girl like that…. Call it being "hero wanabes" or whatever, but we couldn't stand it…. >>

<<So, both me and Morina tried fighting the cultist…. But our party members were…. Well, they didn't really shared our train of thoughts… And instead of siding with us, they straight up betrayed us.>>

<<In the end, we had to fight both the cultist and the our ex-party members.>>

<<Obviously this didn't ended well for us.>>

<<If anything, we were getting fucked.>>

<<If it wasn't for Morina being our party only healer, we would had lost long time ago….. But then out of nowhere, the demons' heads ended up being sent flying at us.>>

<<And before we could react, all the cultist players and our ex-party members were cut in half.>>

"Huh? What just-" – Arthur tried to understand the situation, but before he could, he saw a bright blade of light coming straight for him.

"WAIT! SIS! THEY ARE NOT WITH THEM!" – shouted the childish voice, stopping the attacker right in last second as the blade was about to cut in half Arthur's face.

"They were fighting the cultist. They were the ones bought you time to come here." – said the childish voice.

"Huh… Really? Are they with you?" – asked the blond-haired girl.

"No…. They weren't with me…. But they did try to save me." – replied the little girl.

"Huh..."

"Hey, you two." – said the blond-haired girl.

"Who the hell are you?"
