Wandering Meteor-Chapter 105 Wandering Base
Chapter 105: Chapter 105 Wandering Base
Wandering Base.
Officially known as the Wandering Alliance Command Base.
It serves as a joint communication and command organization for the life community comprising the Constant Star Lu Chen, Metal Planet Wandering, and Earth Civilization.
It is also the highest authority on Earth, ranking above Earth’s government, responsible for handling both minor and major matters during the escape plan and routine alliance affairs.
The Wandering Base was constructed on a plain in the southern part of the Asian Continent.
Construction began at the inception of the life community and took a total of ten years.
Covering a total area of about 100,000 square kilometers, it encompasses all departments with different functions, including the Consciousness Field Receiver.
This was organized by Lu Chen based on the model of the Double Star Civilization and Double Stars, which have been co-existing as a life community for a longer time, and thus their experiences are worth learning from.
Of course, Lu Chen did not completely copy everything rigidly; he made minor adjustments to suit their own situation.
One thing to note is that, unlike the Underground City and Planet Engine, the Wandering Base is not a tourist area and is generally not open to the public, except for occasional access to certain functional areas for political figures, academic delegations, or school educational tours.
On this day.
The Wandering Base welcomed a group of elementary school students.
A teacher leading the group entered the towering gates of the Wandering Base, and what caught their eyes first was a vast plaza with a memorial architectural complex.
This complex is actually a model of the star system, with a diameter of about 200 meters.
At the very center, a golden Constant Star made from pure gold represents the life community’s Constant Star Lu Chen; the first orbital track of the star holds a blue Planet densely populated by tiny figures, representing Earth Civilization existing on Earth; and the outermost orbit holds a Metal Planet made from resilient gold alloy, representing the Metal Planet Wandering within the life community.
This Memorial Star System also serves as a structure chart of the current members of the life community.
Since the Green Star has not joined the life community, it was not included in the Memorial Star System.
Beneath the Memorial Star System, an anti-gravity device is installed, which allows it to float one meter above ground around the clock and maintain a slow rotation.
While visiting the Memorial Star System, the teacher would timely introduce and inspire the students.
One teacher said that if there was a clever top student who knew the orbital speeds of the celestial bodies in the Wandering Alliance, they would find through some calculations that the actual orbital speed of the celestial bodies is proportionally related to the rotating speed of the Memorial Star System—a result calculated precisely by scientists.
Upon hearing this, the students clapped their hands and gasped in amazement, their eyes brimming with a strong desire for knowledge.
At that moment, a little girl nearly stepped into the Memorial Star System out of curiosity, but thankfully was timely stopped by the teacher.
Because if a massive object entered the Memorial Star System, it would cause the anti-gravity device to malfunction, so a protective railing is installed around the Memorial Star System.
Seeing the rather reproachful look from the teacher, the little girl lowered her head, guiltily poking her fingers and explained, "I’m sorry, teacher. I heard that celestial lives seem to have clear stages, so I wanted to take a closer look."
"You can ask the teacher directly if you have any questions in the future. Don’t wander off, okay?" The teacher, being a woman, softened her tone.
"Okay!"
The little girl nodded vigorously, then curiously asked, "Teacher, I heard that Constant Stars and Planets are quite different, but why do they seem the same here?"
As it was a new era for the life community, knowledge and concepts about the Universe had been widely disseminated very early on, and even if not covered in textbooks, elementary students had already heard about them in daily life.
Seeing the little girl pointing at the star and planet models in the star system, the female teacher explained, "These are just models made by people, not actual Constant Stars and Planets. But to be precise, the planets in the Memorial Star System are quite similar to actual ones, only the Constant Stars differ significantly. In reality, Constant Stars are super celestial bodies in a Plasma State, not solid bodies, and certainly not made of gold."
"I also heard that there are celestial bodies above Constant Stars, such as star systems and nebulae. What’s the difference between them?" the little girl asked.
The teacher explained, "The definitions of star systems and nebulae have changed now. The currently defined star system refers to a single Constant Star System composed of two or more Planets captured by a Constant Star; while a nebula is a composite celestial group system composed of countless star systems and has a certain diameter requirement. Because star systems cluster together like giant clouds, they are named nebulae."
According to this definition, Lu Chen could now be considered a star system.
However, just like with Constant Stars, the differences between various star systems are also immense.
Even though Lu Chen has now formed a star system, he still lacks substantial power upgrades and must continue to increase his Constant Star Mass to gain stronger Gravity, allowing the formation of larger star systems, and even a supernova nebula.
Here, it’s important to clarify that the nebula stage of celestial bodies and certain cloud-like nebulas with similar appearances bear no functionality of the actual Celestial Nebula, such as the giant hydrogen nebula composed of Hydrogen, which is merely cloud-like in appearance and should not be confused with the name.
After hearing the teacher’s explanation, the little girl pointed at the Memorial Star System and asked,
"Teacher, what does the glowing word ’Demon Star’ above the Constant Star in the Memorial Star System mean?"
"Oh, that’s the name of the Constant Star. But in everyday life, people don’t like to call it that, so many instead respectfully refer to it as Sun Dad," explained the female teacher.
Lu Chen didn’t want to reveal his origins, so he didn’t divulge his Earth-style real name but called himself Demon Star.
The little girl curiously asked, "Why do they call him Sun Dad? Are we really born by him?"
"Although we were not born by Sun Dad, it is Sun Dad’s sunlight that provides us with the conditions to survive," said the teacher.
The little girl puzzledly said, "If we must call him Sun Dad, doesn’t that mean I have two dads? Does that mean my mom has two husbands? My head hurts!"
As it turned out, the little girl’s parents often fought due to emotional issues and were even considering divorce. If her dad were to find out about her mom having another ’husband’, the marriage would definitely end.
However, at this moment, a rather mature idea suddenly popped into her head.
If her parents really got divorced, whom should she stay with? Her mom, her dad, or Sun Dad?
"Sun Dad is not just anyone’s dad and certainly not anyone’s husband; he is everyone’s dad, the most magnificent dad in the world!" the female teacher couldn’t help but laugh, prompted by the little girl’s words, and laughter echoed from the surrounding students.
Next.
The teacher continued the tour of the Wandering Base with the students.
Unknowingly, they arrived at the last and most important part of their visit—the Consciousness Field Receiver.
