Once I left the house, the first thing that I did was head out of the village.

I didn’t even head in the direction of the village and just went out into the wilderness that was around the village.

There was a road that led out of the village, but all that led to was a road that cut through a forest. This village was one that was reclaimed in the middle of nowhere, so there were many trees that were all around the village.

Walking into the forest, I didn’t hesitate for a single second.

With how confidently I was walking into the forest, it seemed that I knew exactly where I was going.

Almost as if I had some kind of map.

Which was exactly what I had.

There was the map that the system gave me that was in front of me as I walked through the forest.

However, I was walking alone until...I released three different beasts.

When they appeared, all three of them affectionately rubbed up against me to show their love for me. I just petted all three of them before saying, "Get ready and prepare for anything that might happen."

The three of them nodded in agreement before taking their position around me.

The only one that didn’t take a position was the little monkey that was on my shoulder who didn’t seem interested in anything that was happening. Instead, it just reached its hand out towards me as if it was asking for something.

I just ignored it, but it kept poking me in the face, so I had no choice but to say, "I’ll give you something if you take care of the thing that we’re about to face."

The little monkey seemed like it wasn’t happy about this, but it knew that it couldn’t convince me otherwise. So the only thing that it could do was look like it was getting ready to fight even though it didn’t want to.

After taking care of them, I focused my attention back on the map in front of my face.

Following this map, we eventually arrived in...the middle of the forest.

There wasn’t a single thing that was here.

It didn’t seem like a place where an invader would be, but there was no telling what could be in this place. After all, one of the invaders had been a flower, so it could be another flower that was hiding in this place.

When the three beasts that were around me heard me tell them to carefully look at the flowers that were around us, all three of them looked like they were facing a mortal enemy.

That was because in their eyes, the possible flower invader that was hiding here could be their mortal enemy.

The three of them were three of the Four Kings of the Myriad Beast Valley.

They were the ones that had been controlled by the little flower back then, so they were projecting on the possible enemy that was here. They really wanted to rip apart the possible flower enemy that might be there to take revenge.

As for why there were only three of them here...

Well, I had said that they would be the sect guardians of the Star Peak Sect, so it wasn’t as if I could take them all with me. I had to at least leave behind one of them to watch over the Star Peak Sect.

That was left to Igneel, the most patient out of the Four Kings.

The other three were currently searching the area for their possible mortal enemy.

But in the end, they weren’t able to find a single thing.

It seemed like there was nothing special about this area at all.

It even seemed like there wasn’t even that much spiritual energy here.

It wasn’t that there was something draining the spiritual energy, it was just that there was no spiritual energy at all.

Then again, if there was a large concentration of spiritual energy, it wasn’t as if a village could have been settled here. If there was a large concentration of spiritual energy, there was no doubt that a sect or an empire would have claimed this place as their own for their cultivation.

So it really seemed that there was nothing special about this place.

Standing there in the middle of the forest like this, I couldn’t help feeling confused.

I double checked the map, but I saw that the system was indeed pointing me to this place. I was even standing right on the dot of the map showing that I was indeed in the place that the system wanted me to be.

Yet I didn’t see a single thing...

So the only thing that I could do was...

"Partner, isn’t there supposed to be something here?" I asked in the system in a curious voice.

The system didn’t answer right away, almost as if it was trying to figure something out.

While this was happening, the three beasts came back to my side and looked at me with a strange look like they were humans. Even on the face of beasts, I was able to recognize the way that they looked at me which made me feel awkward, but I just remained silent as I waited for the system.

After what seemed to be a long time, the system finally replied.

"The map is being updated."

After the system said this, the map disappeared from in front of me and soon there was a completely different map that appeared.

The moment that I saw this map, I couldn’t help being shocked.

That was because this map had suddenly gained an extra dimension.

At first, this map was a 2D overview map of the area, but now it has become a 3D map of this one specific area.

As it turned out, the reason for this 3D map was not just because the system could do such a thing.

The reason for this 3D map was because the target was under the ground.
