The young man was the one that was the most surprised to hear this since he never thought that I would say something like this. But then he said with another snort, "You’re trying to make up for quality with quantity."

I gave a snort like he did before saying, "I’m not as petty as you. I’m buying all of these so that there’s no external forces that can influence our bet. We’ll both pick out five sealed artifacts and crack them at the same time, that way there’s no way you can say that it was because of other things that you lost."

"You!" The young man shouted, but there wasn’t really anything that he could say in response to this since it was actually advantageous for him if this was the case.

He knew that he had already dug a hole that was hard for him to escape from, so he could only go along with this until the end.

As such, he just gave a snort and said, "Do whatever you want."

I was too lazy to care about him, so I just waved my hands at the lackey.

They didn’t even need me to give them money, they just pulled out their bags and started offering High Grade Spirit Stones to all the vendors for all of their wares.

The High Grade Spirit Stones were worth far more than all of the sealed artifacts that were being sold, so the vendors happily gave them all up without any hesitation. At the same time, the lackeys knew not to be stingy with the spirit stones, so they offered far more than what these sealed artifacts were worth in the first place.

While they were doing that, I was worried about how I would actually win this bet.

I didn’t take the sealed artifact and just looked at it with narrowed eyes while activating the appraisal ability.

The moment that I activated it, I was surprised by the result.

That was because the appraisal ability was able to find out exactly what was inside of the sealed artifact. It even gave me a detailed description of the artifact that was inside of the stone.

For example, the artifact that was sealed inside of this stone was known as the Water Walking Boots. It was a Foundation Realm Artifact that gave one the ability to move on water like they were walking on land.

It wasn’t a bad artifact, but it definitely wasn’t enough to let me win this bet either.

However, this example showed that I was able to use the appraisal skill to see what was inside of the sealed artifacts. That meant that as long as I had the appraisal skill, I would be able to know exactly what was inside of the sealed artifacts.

It couldn’t even be called artifact gambling anymore since I had this ability.

"Isn’t this considered cheating?" I couldn’t help thinking to myself.

"This isn’t cheating, these are just the abilities that you possess. There is nothing wrong with using the abilities that you have." The system said in response right after this thought appeared in my mind.

There was a trace of bitterness that appeared in my smile when I heard this.

Gao Fu Shuai saw this and thought that it meant something about the sealed artifact that he presented, so he asked, "What’s wrong?"

"Not this one." I just calmly said before turning to look at the other sealed artifacts that they brought over.

I just casually walked through them as if I was looking for something special.

When the young man saw this, he gave a snort before saying, "Look at him pretending like he knows what he’s doing?"

Then without a care of me, he also started looking through the artifacts as if he was searching for something.

In no time at all, both of us had picked out our sealed artifacts.
