Chapter 82: Seems familiar

"Who dares to seduce my granddaughter!"

That was the first thing that I heard when I woke up in the morning.

It was early in the morning when I heard this and opened my eyes. It was even too early for the birds to start chirping, so this was all that could be heard.

When I came out, I saw three men who were currently entangled together.

Two I recognized and the one that I didn’t recognize was the one that was being held back by them. Though I couldn’t help being surprised by one of the people who was holding this unknown person back.

It was Liu Han, Liu Ao Xue’s father.

He was the last person that I expected to be helping me hold someone back like this.

When the lackeys came out and saw what was happening, they immediately came over to my side and stood in front of me. The way that they were standing in front of me was like they were trying to protect me.

The problem was that by doing this, all they were doing was exposing my position.

The moment that the unknown person who was being restrained saw them standing in front of me, his eyes immediately turned to look at me.

I also took this time to look at this unknown person.

Un, this was a person that I didn’t recognize at all.

This was an old man, but he didn’t seem like a gentle looking old man. Instead, this old man looked like a stern old man who would be very strict with everyone.

It didn’t take long for this old man to break free of the grasps of both Elder Tian and Liu Han who had been holding him.

He came right at me and said, "You’re the one that’s seducing my granddaughter!"

For some reason, I couldn’t help feeling that this was familiar.

As for why it was familiar...

Well, the person who had done this before was right behind this old man.

He was Liu Ao Xue’s father, Liu Han.

I knew that he wouldn’t be of any help, so I looked at Elder Tian.

To my surprise, Elder Tian awkwardly looked away as if he wasn’t willing to get in the middle of this. It was as if the person who was accusing me of this had an identity that was quite special.

So if I had to guess...

This was Liu Ao Xue’s grandfather who was said to be seriously injured.

It had only been a few days since Liu Han had gone back and Liu Ao Xue’s grandfather had already come to our sect.

This was a demonstration of just how powerful the healing effect of the Nine Lives Grass was.

Though, I didn’t really know how seriously injured this grandfather of Liu Ao Xue’s was in the first place.

It didn’t take long before Liu Ao Xue’s grandfather came forward and grabbed me by the collar. As he did, both Elder Tian and Liu Han revealed terrified looks before looking around as if they were afraid that something would happen.

But nothing happened in the end.

After grabbing my collar, Liu Ao Xue’s grandfather lifted me off the ground and said, "You’re the one that has been bothering our Xue’er?"

Before I could say anything, a voice came from behind him that said, "Grandpa Yao, what are you doing here?"

When the old man heard this voice, the expression on his face changed instantly.

It went from a stern look that was filled with anger to a soft doting look like a grandparent would have.

He just ignored me and pushed me back before turning around to say, "Xue’er, I missed you!"

Liu Ao Xue didn’t say anything as she just looked at how he had pushed me before saying with narrowed eyes, "Grandpa Yao, what are you doing here?"

Yao Fu was surprised to hear this before saying, "Xue’er, grandpa came to see you. Come and give grandpa a hug." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

But Liu Ao Xue didn’t move as she kept looking at him with narrowed eyes.

In the end, she walked past him and came over to my side before looking at him with the same narrowed eyes and saying, "What did you come here for?"

Yao Fu was shocked when he saw this, especially when he saw how close Liu Ao Xue was standing to me.

In the end, he lost control as he said, "I can’t stand this anymore!"

He looked at me with a look of hatred as he said, "Kid, I don’t know what tricks you’ve used to fool our Xue’er, but I won’t let you get away with it!"

He looked like he was about to charge at me, but...

"Grandpa, if you keep acting like this, I will get angry and never talk to you again."

Yao Fu looked like he was struck in the chest and deflated right away after hearing this.

There was a slouch in his back that fit the age of this old man as he looked like he was about to collapse at any moment.

Just these words alone had this kind of destruction against this old man.

It seemed like he really couldn’t take any form of attack from Liu Ao Xue, that was just how much he cared about her words.

After looking like this for a bit, Yao Fu said, "Xue’er, how could you say something like that? He’s clearly fooling you, you can’t fall for it."

Liu Ao Xue slightly knitted her brows when she heard this.

It looked like she was displeased about something.

Her next words came as a surprise to me though.

"How could you say something like that? Grandpa Yao, he was the one that got the Nine Lives Grass to save you. You can’t speak ill of him."

It turned out that she was angry not because of him doubting her, but rather because of what he had said about me.

I couldn’t help feeling a bit touched when I heard this, but Yao Fu looked like he was even more devastated when he heard this.

There was an awkward silence that filled the air.
