Theresa quickly found a place for me to make use of within the hour.

There were multiple mess halls in the station which means there would also be some places where there aren’t as many people visiting as compared to the others.

That in turn meant that there were some stalls that were left empty after they figured out they were unpopular so they closed them down in order to save costs.

The good thing was that the equipment in these stalls were still functional at least and we could just go there and start them up in order to use them.

She sent us a map of the location and told us she would be there to make sure everything was working so we headed there to meet her.

One thing she seemed to have forgotten to mention to us, however, was the fact that since this place was quite out of the way in a corner of the station, very few people would go there.

And it seems like precisely because of that fact... Some people seemed to have taken advantage of that to engage in specific activities.

What activities? Well... Obviously it was to have public sex...

I actually didn’t notice it at first since I was more focused on trying to find the cooking station that Theresa had arranged for me and walked inside the mess hall looking for it specifically.

I found it easily enough since the mess hall was pretty small with only two rows of food stalls to serve people here. And one of the rows was completely empty...

Because they don’t really have any threats, aside from the insurgents which I’m pretty sure is already a pretty rare occurrence to begin with, they live their life without struggle and are living in abundance.

And because of that, they try to seek other means to entertain themselves and a portion of them decided that sexual hedonism was the way to go.

And there’s a large enough number of them that they managed to push this into the mainstream so general society has even become accepting of things like public sex or even public orgies... Or at least a limited form of acceptance since they still try to do it in places where it’s out of the way of most people.

I let out a sigh, "So you’re telling me that in the Inner Colonies... The people’s sexual moralities are non-existent?"

"Is this just limited to human society?" I asked.

The girls looked at each other before they made a face at me and nodded.

Ries quickly raised her hand, "But we really like it though!! Umm... It’s definitely more interesting, so everyone is fine with it!"

"I don’t know if I should be happy that other civilisations are fine with human degeneracy but ok I guess..."

I let out another sigh before looking around, realising there was someone missing.

"Ermm... Didn’t Theresa say that she would meet us here? I don’t see her at all. We are at the right place, right?"

I brought out my personal terminal and I realised there was a new message from Theresa that was sent a moment ago.

Hmm... Seems like she got caught up with some work and will be a bit late. She told us that we can explore the equipment first and see if there were any problems with it. If there were, she would get someone to fix them as soon as possible.

Well... I guess we might as well do that since we’re already here anyway.

When I went over to tap on it, I found an entire list of ingredients displayed on the screen like it was some kind of online shop.

I realised that this was how the stalls get their ingredients to cook.

There must be some kind of centralised storeroom for food that would deliver what is ordered on the screen over to the individual stalls once an order has been placed through the screen.

I quickly thought of a meal plan I could make for all of us and tapped on the screen to ’order’ those ingredients.

They really had everything too so I didn’t need to worry about them not having a specific ingredient.

Until I realised that they had all except one thing...

They didn’t have condiments...

Are you serious?! Did this universe lose the concept of condiments or something?! There’s no salt or pepper or even soy sauce?!! How have we regressed so much?!! Do I really need to use my own?!!
