What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?-Chapter 1027: Want Me To Sign That Too?
"I… I have my favourite author's first personally signed copy in this World…" Penelope cried, hugging the book to her chest.
Lisa tugged on my arm while staring at the Off-Worlder who was currently crying in joy in the corner of the wagon, "Err… Aster? What is she talking about?"
I scratched my cheek, "Erm… I guess this isn't something normally done here but back in our World, we have this thing called autographs where famous people could hand write their signature on something. It's more as a way to show that the item has at least been in the hands of that famous person before or that the other party has met that famous person face to face before. Basically, it's just bragging rights."
Right as I said that, all of them pulled out their own copies of one of my books and flipped over to the first page.
They then looked back at me.
I nodded, "Yeah… Something like that."
That's right, you thought I didn't already do it for the people around me? Of course I did! I gave each of them a personal message with each copy that was given to them.
"Ah… I thought of them as love notes. Ehehehe~" Lisa giggled.
Well… In a sense they were that as well. The content in each of those autographs I wrote for my girls were me expressing my love and my thanks for them after all~
Emilia then looked back at Penelope who was still hugging the book I signed while crying, "So… That's not even the first book that you 'autographed'?"
I placed my finger on my lips, "Just let her have that. It is kind of true that she has the first one that I signed for someone else outside of our group."
Kabir stared at me, "So… You're that author… The one who wrote all those fantasy books on isekai? The one who wrote 'Waking Up As A Rock In Another World'?"
"Oh geez… I wasn't even serious about that series and it still got popular… But yes."
He gasped, "Are you planning on releasing that one here as well?!"
"Err… I don't really think that one would be popular here since… You know… That would just be someone waking up as a rock in our own world so it might not be as interesting…"
"No! Please! You have to release that one again! That was one of my favourites!! Oh, and please! Won't you sign my copy of this one as well?!"
He quickly took out a book from his backpack and handed it to me.
But before I could take it, Emilia intercepted it and smiled at him, "Just out of curiosity… If I said that you would need to pay one Small Bronze coin for having her write this autograph for you…"
She didn't even finish talking before the guy fished out the coin in question to shove it towards her.
I could almost hear the sound of coins clinking away in Emilia's head but I quickly interjected, "I'm not going to charge you money for this. Don't worry."
He looked surprised, "Eh? Are you sure? Because I feel like I'm taking advantage of you right now. You not only healed me but you're also protecting us as a Mercenary too."
"It's fine, it's fine. I'm just writing some words after all and I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't get the support of fans like you."
He sniffed, "I knew it… You're really the real deal… I just want to let you know that I was inspired in the isekai genre all because of your work! I dare say that without you, I would not be where I am today!"
I smiled at him and signed the book he gave me, including a personal note for him.
Jenna switched her gaze in between me and Kabir before finally blurting out, "Ok, I have to apologise but… Are you supposed to be someone famous?"
I didn't even get to say anything before Odeta came over to my side to wrap her arm around my shoulder, "Wahahaha! Of course Sister Aster is famous! She's the valedictorian of this year's graduates from Aerialla Academy!"
Odeta… I think she was asking about my fame back in my old World… Not this Wo--
"No way! You've already graduated from Aerialla Academy?!" Jenna gasped.
I waved my hand at her, "Only the branch one. I've not attended the main Aerialla Academy yet."
She gave me a confused look, "The branch one? There's more than one Aerialla Academy?"
Ahaha~ I remember I was in her shoes once as well so it's kind of nice to see that I was actually the one who is aware of the common sense of this World for a change.
I proceeded to explain how Aerialla Academy worked to her.
She gave me a worried look, "To be honest… Well… I suppose you might be wondering why I was asking about what you were all doing with your life because… I was a little unsure of what I wanted to do here. But there was one thing I wanted to do for sure which was to attend the academy."
I looked her up and down, drawing attention to her clothing choice which was basically a stereotypical mage outfit.
"I can see that. Though I'm surprised you even went the mage route considering how you didn't know about these types of tropes."
"Ah… I did watch that magic school movie you know? The one where the boy goes to the magic school."
Ok, that explains everything.
The other Off-Worlders also nodded in understanding and I felt a little bit bad that my girls looked lost right now since they probably have no idea what we're talking about.
Don't worry girls, I'll explain everything later.
"So does that mean that… I have to attend a branch school before I can be admitted to the main Aerialla Academy?"
I faltered a little at that because I wasn't really sure if that was the case.
Thankfully, this was a subject that my companions were more well versed in and Lisa came to the rescue.
"Don't need to worry. As long as you have talent, the Academy will accept you. Attending a branch Academy will simply increase your chances as the results you achieved during your years studying there would factor into their consideration for accepting students. But if you have enough qualifications already, then you should pass the entrance test pretty easily."
Ah, that's right… Lisa was intending to do just that to attend the school with us.
She had resigned from her position as a teacher to follow me and I thought she would also be applying for a teacher position in the main Academy but that was not the case.
So basically… My former teacher would be my classmate when we get there.
And she also just happens to be my lover too… Wow… This is so weird…
Jenna looked worried, "An entrance test? What will they be testing on?"
Lisa chuckled, "Ehehe~ They would simply be testing you on your strengths that you are using to get into the Academy. So if you are advertising your Aeromancy, then they will do some tests on making you use your Aeromancy magic in front of them to determine if you are suitable~"
Yeah, I'm aware of that because I had also asked Lisa about it and she already explained that to me as well.
Seems like even as a Special Class student, I wasn't exempt from it either, though the criteria would be lower for me.
Jenna nodded in understanding, "I see… In that case… Are you also heading to the Academy as well, Miss Aster?"
I hesitated for a moment, "Er… Well… Technically yes. But just not directly yet. I'm basically taking my time to head there since I want to explore around the World a little bit first. After all, I spent pretty much the last two decades mainly in the Mahun side of the World."
Jenna seemed disappointed by my answer which I guess was because she was hoping to have a travelling companion.
The other Off-Worlders also don't seem to be heading in the same direction as well so she would be on her own.
"Why are you even heading there right now, anyway? You've only been in this World for a few months at best right? You could take your time to explore around too," I suggested.
She gave me a wry smile, "If I am accepted as a student there… All I need to worry about is my studies. My room and board will all be taken care of and I can take the time to learn about this world while I'm there as well. Without that, I would have to worry about how to survive here while I have no connections and no idea about the common sense of this place."
Huh… I guess she actually gave her situation some thought.
Kabir smiled at us, "That's nice though. Maybe I might also want to go there and check it out after this."
Penelope also spoke up right then, "Oh, I know for sure our children would definitely attend that school! They are already such little geniuses!"
…
There's no way that I'm going to meet you all at the Academy, am I?
