When I was born as a god-Chapter 39: I can tell you this.
The moment Hinata asked that question, I froze for a second.
"Hey, Ayal... how are you able to do this?"
When I turned my head, I noticed Hinata staring directly at me. Her blue eyes were fixed on me, filled with curiosity. Anyone could tell that she had countless questions in her mind.
"Yeah, Ayal," Aira added, crossing her arms.
"You never told us how you can do something like that."
I turned my face away slightly and replied hesitantly.
"Actually... it’s a kind of power that I only discovered a few minutes ago."
Both of them blinked in shock.
"W-Wait... what?" Hinata said.
"Are you saying you only got that power just now?"
I scratched my cheek awkwardly and nodded.
"Yeah... I really did get it just a moment ago."
Aira and Hinata stared at me silently, their eyes filled with disbelief.
"So... how exactly did you get that power?" Aira asked.
I looked away again and sighed.
"It’s a very long story. If I start explaining now, it might take a lot of time."
But the moment I said that, Aira immediately replied.
"So what? We have plenty of time."
She looked around the vast empty land.
"It might take us several days to reach the city anyway."
Hinata nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, Ayal. You can tell us."
I looked at both of them. Their eyes were locked on me, waiting for an answer.
Seeing their serious expressions, I sighed and finally gave up.
"...Alright. I’ll tell you."
After taking a breath, I slowly raised the sword in my hand.
"The sword I’m holding right now... actually has a spirit living inside it."
Both of them froze.
"And right now... I’m its master."
"When I was thinking about how to save you two earlier... that spirit came out and helped us."
Aira widened her eyes.
"W-Wait... are you saying the sword in your hand contains a spirit?"
I smiled slightly.
"Yeah. You guessed right."
Hinata leaned forward excitedly.
"So... that spirit helped us?"
"Yes."
Then I asked them with a grin.
"Do you want to meet her?"
"YES!"
Both of them answered at the same time.
I chuckled.
"Alright then."
I raised the sword slightly.
"Milia."
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then suddenly—
A soft light began to shine from the sword.
The light slowly gathered in front of us.
And in the next moment...
A girl appeared.
She had long snow-white hair that flowed down like silk, and her bright blue eyes slowly opened.
She looked straight at me.
"Master... did you call for me?"
The moment Hinata and Aira saw her, they gasped.
"W-Wow..." Hinata whispered.
"She’s beautiful..." Aira muttered.
They quickly walked toward Milia and began circling around her, examining her like she was some kind of rare treasure.
"Look at her hair!" Aira said while gently touching it.
"It’s completely white!"
"Yeah..." Hinata replied with a blush.
"It’s really pretty."
Meanwhile, Milia just stood there calmly.
Then she looked at me.
"Master?"
"What is it?" I replied.
I cleared my throat.
"Milia, tell them what you can do."
She nodded obediently.
"As you wish, Master."
She then faced Hinata and Aira.
"I am a Sword Spirit."
"I have accepted Master Ayal as my owner."
"Anything my master commands... I will obey."
"And if Master wishes to do anything with me... he is completely free to do so."
The moment those words left her mouth—
My brain stopped.
"W-WHAT?!"
I immediately covered her mouth with my hand.
"W-What are you saying?!" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Hinata and Aira both froze.
"Ayal... what did she just say?" Hinata asked with a red face.
"N-Nothing! Nothing at all!"
I waved my hands nervously.
"I’ve never done anything like that with her!"
Both Hinata and Aira turned bright red.
Hinata quickly turned her face away.
"W-Why would she say something like that?!"
I quickly grabbed Milia’s arm and dragged her a few steps away.
"What are you saying in front of them?!" I whispered angrily.
She smiled innocently.
"But I only spoke the truth, Master."
"I told you before that you would receive many benefits."
"Was I lying?"
I groaned.
"If I knew this would happen... I would never have become your master."
Milia simply giggled.
"I thought that’s why you were acting strangely earlier."
Just then—
Aira shouted from behind us.
"Hey! What are you two talking about over there?!"
I quickly turned around.
"N-Nothing! We’re not talking about anything strange!"
I coughed awkwardly.
"A-Anyway... this is Milia."
"The Sword Spirit who helped us earlier."
"The reason everyone in that place couldn’t move... was because of her power."
Both girls looked at Milia again.
"So she’s the one who did that..." Hinata whispered.
I nodded.
"Yeah."
"And when we escaped earlier... it was also thanks to Milia’s teleportation ability."
Aira suddenly stepped closer to Milia.
"So you’re the one who teleported us?"
Milia nodded politely.
"Yes."
"I knew you had many questions."
"But I acted for your safety."
"Aira... do you remember that strange feeling you had earlier?"
Aira blinked.
"You mean... when I felt like something was wrong with them?"
Milia nodded again.
"I was the one whispering to your mind."
"I didn’t want Master or his friends to get hurt."
Aira’s eyes widened.
"So it was you..."
I also stared at Milia in surprise.
"So that means..."
"You’re the reason Aira suddenly realized we were in danger?"
Milia simply smiled.
"Yes."
I felt shocked.
I had never imagined she could do something like that.
While I was thinking about it—
Suddenly Hinata spoke.
"If you can do all that... then you should know what’s happening here too, right?"
I blinked.
She was right.
If Milia could do so many things... maybe she knew what was going on.
I looked at Milia seriously.
"Milia... do you know what’s happening here?"
She looked at me.
Then she smiled softly.
"I’m sorry, Master."
"I don’t know."
"What?" I said in disbelief.
"You really don’t know?"
She shook her head slowly.
"No."
"But... I can tell you one thing."
Her expression suddenly became serious.
"The ones behind this... are extremely powerful."
"Because when I was speaking to Aira’s mind earlier..."
"I felt a terrifying presence
"Master... there is something important I wish to tell you."
