Jiayu was sitting diagonally opposite the nurse’s station, uninterested in the gossip of the young nurses. However, the conversation naturally drifted into her ears.

"What’s the big news?"

"The beauty of our department is going to confess to our aloof Doctor Mu."

Jiayu’s finger paused on her phone, and then she heard a couple of "tsk tsk" noises from that direction.

"Really? Doctor Mu is extremely aloof, exuding an ascetic vibe, and he’s so accomplished at such a young age. I guess he’s focused on his career. Would he really like women?"

"Why wouldn’t he? After all, he’s a man. There are many eyes in the hospital on Doctor Mu. He’s practically a sight to behold in our City First Hospital. Besides, as the saying goes, it’s easy for a girl to pursue a man."

Jiayu glanced over at them. Apparently, someone had pressed the bell, and the two people who were chatting just stepped out and headed towards the ward.

Jiayu looked back down, and after a while, footsteps echoed in the hallway again. The footsteps sounded familiar, and Jiayu looked up to see Mu Ke approaching with a girl in a nurse’s uniform.

Mu Ke still looked as aloof as ever, while the girl beside him wore a beaming smile.

Whether it’s because women can see through each other or not, Jiayu’s first instinct was that the person now by Mu Ke’s side was the one being gossiped about just now.

Over there, Mu Ke saw Jiayu sitting on the bench in the hallway. He quickened his pace and reached her in a few steps: "Have you been waiting long?"

"What do you want to eat?"

Mu Ke pressed the elevator button and asked sideways. Jiayu smiled softly, "I’m not familiar with this area, anything’s fine."

"It’s cold today, how about hot pot?"

"Okay."

Mu Ke took Jiayu to an elegant hot pot restaurant nearby. Here, each person had their own pot, which made it less lively but more hygienic.
