When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 981: Master and Disciple Reunited
At this moment, Old Mr. Downey returned with some herbal medicine, as he had gone not far, just to the back of the mountain.
Upon entering, he saw Gia’s leg was injured and wrapped in bandages, and his heart skipped a beat with worry. He hurriedly asked, "How did this happen? It’s even bleeding?"
"Grandpa, it’s nothing serious." Gia looked up, her face carrying a light and cheerful smile, comforting the old man, "I just accidentally fell, I’ll be more careful from now on."
"Who bandaged you? What medicine did they use?" The old man was slightly anxious.
"It was an ointment, Nathan bandaged me," Gia told him. "It’s already disinfected; the wound is small, the bleeding has stopped, and it doesn’t hurt."
"Let me change your medicine; applying herbal medicine heals quickly." The old man said while preparing, "You sit still, let me handle it."
Hearing the concern in her grandfather’s voice, Gia was very touched, and she obediently sat on the sofa watching him prepare the herbal medicine, also hoping her wound would heal soon.
After a while, the old man was ready, placing some medicinal powder on the coffee table and sitting on a small stool in front of her, gently unwrapping the bandage.
The bleeding had stopped, but the old man’s eyes didn’t linger on the wound; instead, they fell on the crescent-shaped birthmark.
In that moment, the old man’s cloudy eyes widened, and he looked up at her, "Are you Faye Turner?"
Gia met his gaze, "Faye Turner?" She remembered that night, Adrian Lancaster had also mentioned this name.
The old man quickly looked back at the familiar birthmark!
"Your birthmark is faint, but it’s not hard to notice up close, especially after the surrounding skin is injured and bleeding, the crescent birthmark becomes more apparent."
Recalling her appearance after recovery, she did resemble Faye slightly, so the old man was now certain that this girl was his apprentice Faye Turner!
"Child, have you remembered anything?" The old man was quite pained, "How did you end up here?"
Gia didn’t know how to answer; she also lowered her eyes to look at the birthmark, then looked up again, "Grandpa, do you also know... Mrs. Lancaster Faye Turner?"
"My apprentice, how could I not know?" The old man looked at her once more, his face full of kindness and joy, "Child, I didn’t expect it to really be you. Your voice doesn’t completely match, but there is a slight resemblance. You haven’t recovered fully yet."
Inside, Gia felt a heavy weight as Adrian Lancaster had mentioned doing a paternity test, yet she had no idea what the situation was...
These matters may have coincidences, so one cannot rely on feelings alone; evidence is necessary. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Grandpa, my memory..."
"Give me your hand," the old man reached out to her, "let me check if you’ve had children. I assisted my apprentice who’s had a child."
With a sense of apprehension but also anticipation, Gia extended her wrist, and the old man checked her pulse.
"There is a history of childbirth." This was his conclusion after three minutes, "You have at least given birth to one child."
So, could she be Mrs. Lancaster Faye Turner? A child lingers in her memory.
Gia dared not think about it... She sat silently on the sofa.
"Don’t worry, Master will surely restore your memory," Old Mr. Downey was particularly happy, yet puzzled, "How did you fall into the water? Did Faye fall into the water? Did you see the news?" He had been traveling outside for a long time, detached from the world.
"Yes, she fell into the water..." she replied softly.
The old man looked at her with heartache, his eyes welling up with tears.
