Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 1311 - 827: The Oaths Emerge (Part 2)
Luluwo once asked these adventurers why they all appeared here together, and the answer they received was quite expected.
Because the Holy Light Church was driven away, and the broadcast during the Holy Light Festival made people feel that the Holy Light Church might not return soon, Hepa Town was no longer considered frontline, so many adventurers became interested, and those who intended to come here joined forces and arrived together.
The reason is very practical; since they came here with speculative intentions, the rebel army will undoubtedly utilize them well, and they are aware enough to cooperate willingly.
The so-called utilization involves reporting new information and sharing new discoveries by the adventurers, etc.
Perhaps due to the recent unusual combat power demonstrated by the rebel army on the battlefield, the rear of the army has stabilized, attracting people who left to return home. Hepa Town is somewhat special, with all the returning people being adventurers, and their number is now approaching four hundred.
They are allowed to camp outside Hepa Town, and the Wilderness Church has opened a settlement outside the town for them to live, with a curfew preventing entry into the town; even when coming out of the Dungeon, they can only go to the settlement outside the town, which is guarded by soldiers. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The adventurers of Scameroon did not show any dissatisfaction with such restrictions; they even felt that these restrictions were quite relaxed and were very grateful for them.
Along with the adventurers came various merchants. They are the real speculators, arriving upon sensing the flavor of the Sain Dungeon, and nearly every day the heads of different churches stationed in the town have to meet with different merchant groups to discuss cooperation.
Due to the growing number of newcomers, the rebel army had to increase manpower for security to ensure that the defense magic protecting Hepa Town is not breached by any means, as they cannot repeat the mistake of the Holy Light Church.
Hepa Town's development is steadily improving, and without external factors causing damage, it will certainly become a prosperous city in the future; the Teleportation Gate in Sain Dungeon alone is enough to serve as a foundation.
The residents here gradually build their daily lives around the Sain Dungeon.
Every day, adventurers come from afar, some in groups, some alone, and even a few from other countries. Upon arrival, they inquire everywhere about the purchasing prices offered by merchant groups for the products from Sain Dungeon and then rush into the Dungeon to seek treasures.
These adventurers naturally become highly sought after; not only do merchant associations recruit them, but even the various churches of the rebel army have set their sights on these youths.
"Hey buddy, care to learn about the Golden God Sect? Join us and you'll receive Little Gold Beads!"
A person dressed as a Priest of the Golden God Sect was promoting to a few tall and thin adventurers, even pulling out a few gold beads the size of a pinky nail, flashing his mouth with several gold teeth embedded.
However, this group of adventurers showed no interest. Instead, they took a few steps back cautiously and said, "Sorry, we don't follow any faith, please refrain from bothering us."
"This can't be called bothering; the Golden God is spreading welfare to you all. Come and learn more about it…"
Before the priest could finish speaking, the adventurers turned and left.
Yet, before they could walk far, they were intercepted by another missionary.
"You guys look new here. Would you like to join us for a rest? Joining others can be good for attention, oh by the way, would you be interested to learn about our Heavenly Father, our…"
"Sorry, not interested!"
The adventurers bypassed this missionary again, only to be pestered repeatedly thereafter. Each missionary's words seemed highly repetitive, making them utterly distressed.
It was almost like seniors promoting tutoring centers at the entrance of graduate or public exam venues.
The adventurers were truly annoyed, and the rebel army soldiers wouldn't care about such matters, leaving them to repeatedly decline until they finally got used to saying "not interested" to anyone approaching them.
"We are heading into the Dungeon to explore and could use some more guards; would you like to join us?"
"Sorry, not interested… wait, what did you say?"
The adventurers suddenly stopped and looked at the speaker, seeing that he was dressed in Wilderness Church attire, his demeanor not seeming ordinary.
He is the son of the bishop stationed here at Wilderness Church and also the captain of their elite team.
He is also the first person in Wilderness Church to enter the Sun Warrior-themed Painting World.
"You want to hire us?" The adventurers were a bit puzzled, as churches rarely hire people from outside their members.
"Of course, today's situation is quite special, and we are short-handed but have someplace really interesting to go. Your skills seem promising for exploring the Dungeon."
The Wild Forest Captain offered a hiring price that matched the market rate, which was an irresistible temptation for adventurers, who immediately agreed to follow him into the Dungeon.
Soon after, at the road behind the bonfire at Flying Dragon Bridge, next to the statue of the Sun Elder Son.
After an uneventful exploration, the adventurers panted heavily and smiled broadly, leaning against the walls.
The heavy panting was due to just having escaped the chase of the Red Flying Dragon, an exhilarating pursuit that left them unsettled for a long time.
The bright smiles were due to finding many valuable items during the exploration, their gains doubling that of usual days. The Wilderness Church surely is adept at treasure hunting, and what's even more delightful is that their employer agreed to give them additional shares of what they found!
These bonuses were a small fortune for ordinary adventurers.
"However, giving you this much also has conditions."
The Wild Forest Captain's words made the adventurers' happy expressions gradually calm down, their gazes turning vigilant as they asked, "What conditions?"
"Don't be so tense, I'm not asking you to follow any faith."
On hearing this, the adventurers visibly relaxed.
"Just need you to help me explore this Painting World. I recently got injured and can't go in myself."
The Wild Forest Captain laughed and pulled out a painting covered by a thin membrane, which was evidently the Sun Warrior-themed Painting World.
"Oh, that's all?" The adventurers loosened up completely, saying "We've heard that exploring Painting Worlds can be time-consuming, but since you're paying us so well, we'll go in once!"
"But anyway, we still won't follow any faith."
The adventurers sternly reiterated their principles.
The Wild Forest Captain smiled, "Then come on in one by one, as those who finish early can leave and go about their own business."
"Alright then, you are really generous."
The adventurers beamed as if "striking gold" and set about entering the Painting World one by one, each bringing along the Solar beside them.
After about a day, at Hepa Town, Starfire Church's base.
"Why are more and more adventurers joining us lately?"
Hevi looked at adventurers being guided into joining the Starfire Church by its priests, with a puzzled expression, but soon shrugged it off.
"Oh well, it's good if more people join the church."
New members occasionally appeared in other churches, but recently Starfire Church saw new members emerging every day.
Could it be because they received benefits in Sain Dungeon and wanted to find a church related to Sain to believe in?
The closest church at present is Starfire Church, which is great.
At least that's what Hevi thought.
Yet soon after, adventurers discovered something new.
Different paintings led to entirely different Painting Worlds.
Various oaths emerged within them.
