Chapter 110: <Chapter 109>

At first, Silje thought she was dreaming.

There were rare times when she dreamt of those rich green eyes, the eyes that resembled the beautiful and mystic Greenland.

Whenever she had those dreams, she would wake up and shiver in fear.

“…Silje!”

It was a gorgeous voice, but to her, it sounded like that of a grim reaper from hell.

It was Kail, and he was back.

As this fact finally registered in her shocked mind, Silje tried to get away to escape Kail once more.

“Let me go! Let me go right now!”

She screamed and when she tried to push him away, Kail’s expression turned cold. His face had been in dark so far, but now his face was visible in the streetlight and she could finally see him clearly.

“…!”

Silje flinched in shock.

He was thin. He clearly had lost a lot of weight.

Kail looked… ravaged. It looked like he barely survived a deadly storm.

“…Silje.”

Just like in her dream, he called out to her and Silje couldn’t take her eyes off him.

It had been many years since they last saw each other.

In appearance, Kail still looked very similar to his old self despite his weight loss. He was still devastatingly gorgeous with his 190 cm height, dark brown hair, and perfectly sculpted face.

He looked as strong and fierce as ever. Silje couldn’t help but tremble, because to her, Kail looked like death.

Her death.

Kail still had the ferocious look, but Silje found him too thin and pale.

Most of all, his face and his eyes showed the incredible pain he went through.

And it was all because of her.

“…I can’t believe this.”

She did this to him.

This moment seemed too surreal that Silje again wondered if she was dreaming.

“This can’t be…”

But this was really happening.

When she staggered a little, Kail stared at her and said to her angrily, “This isn’t a dream. Open your eyes, Silje, and look at me. I am not going to disappear. I am standing here right in front of you. This is real.”

He sounded smug.

It sounded like Kail still believed he owned her. He was furious at her for abandoning him and he was ready to destroy her. His green eyes glared at her, making Silje feel dizzy.

A silence fell. When Kail didn’t say anything further, Silje asked quietly, “So you found me. Did you come here to get back at me?”

He seemed surprised, but when she continued to stare at him with determination, Kail smiled darkly. It was an angry grin, but for some reason, it also looked sad and twisted at the same time.

Kail replied, “So you haven’t changed. I like it. Sure, I came here for my revenge, Silje. I came from the depths of hell to find you, and I will take you with me back to it.”

Silje became pale because she knew he meant what he said.

Looking at his fiery green eyes, she felt faint. When she placed her hand on her temple to relieve her headache, Kail smiled and asked, “Don’t you have anything to say to me?”

Silje remained stubbornly quiet, so Kail persisted.

“Talk to me. As you can see, I flew all the way here to chase after you. Silje, tell me. You look just like the way you were so many years ago, yet why won’t you talk to me? Did you become a mute?”

“…Of course not. I just don’t understand what you want me to say. You come here like this all of a sudden… so what do you want to hear from me?”

When Silje frowned as if in pain, Kail smiled coldly.

“Like I just said, come with me.”

His coarse voice continued seductively, “Come back to me. I am here to bring you back to my hell.”

“No thanks. I don’t want to die just yet. You may like it there, but I refuse to go back to hell.”

She replied with unsympathetic clarity, and Kail’s eyes turned frigid.

“…My heart.”

“What?”

Kail was wearing a perfect Ermenegil do Zegna suit. He slowly placed his hand on his chest, making Silje’s eyes widen.

She tried to remain calm but looking at Kail in this state made her heart ache.

She asked, “What is it that you want to say to me?”

Kail slowly closed his eyes and replied, “You ripped my heart out and cut it up into million pieces… Yet here you are, living on as if nothing happened. Do you not care at all about what I went through? What I feel right now, standing in front of you like this?”

Another silence fell. Silje glared at him, trying to act uncaring. When she didn’t say anything, Kail placed his hand slowly over her eyes.

“…Why? Why are you crying quietly? You can’t be crying because of me… You wouldn’t. A cold witch like you… You who stabbed my heart so viciously…”

He mocked her, and suddenly, he pushed her against the stone wall and kissed her roughly.

“…!”

It was a brutal kiss. No matter how hard she tried to fight, he continued to covet her soft pink lips like a beast. He was burning for her and no one could stop him.

“…! Let me go!”

Silje screamed, but Kail quickly took her lips again and forced his tongue into her mouth. He was rough and invasive, making his kiss painful for Silje.

“…!”

His scorching tongue felt coarse and it hurt her. He held her roughly so she couldn’t escape, and he was panting against her like an animal. He tasted her like she was an expensive whiskey. Her kiss could’ve been poisonous, and he still wouldn’t have cared. He needed to taste her right now.

Silje felt like she was suffocating. It was an insane kiss, and Silje finally yelled, “Stop it! Are you crazy?”

But Kail didn’t stop. He refused to stop.

He finally got her in his arms again, and he needed to feel her. To make sure she was real.

He kissed her like his life depended on it.

“Let me go! Let me…!”

She continued to fight, but he didn’t care. Kail’s lips slanted over hers again and again. His tongue took possession of her mouth and it licked her everywhere. The shock of it made her gasp and the familiar scent of fresh pine and his cologne made her feel giddy. It felt like he was taking her soul by force.

“…Ah…! Stop!”

It was too much, and finally, Silje closed her eyes and collapsed onto the ground weakly.

Without a word, Kail lifted her up and carried her to his car.

Nothing changed. Kail hadn’t changed.

He was still the cruel king she knew him to be. The dark desire he forced on her was overwhelming, especially because it was laced with brutal anger.

Silje shivered in fear. Kail meant business. He was going to destroy her until there was nothing left of her. He came here to find her because she betrayed his love and abandoned him.

He wanted to hurt her. He wanted his revenge.
