Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds-Chapter 569 - 23: Bait
A huge One-eyed Giant wielded a bloodstained Wolf Fang Club, its single eye occasionally emitting blinding red light, roaring as it rampaged through the city’s ruins.
"Sss..."
The red light sliced through a person’s body, and the battle-tested armor was cleaved in two.
The body was split in half.
"Bang!"
The Wolf Fang Club descended from the heavens, carrying terrifying force, smashing a stone wall and obliterating the person hiding behind it into pulp.
Cries of anguish, angry roars, and howls filled the air.
"Slash!"
Amidst the swirling dust, a flash of sword light emerged, like dawn tearing through darkness, striking down on the One-eyed Giant.
The sword light tore through the beast’s hide and resilient skin, reaching the still-beating internal organs.
Unfortunately...
"Crack!"
Hard bones blocked the sword’s path, the Legendary Knight wielding the sword stiffened, then was swept aside by the Wolf Fang Club.
Even with a Legendary Knight’s physique, this blow left him severely injured and coughing blood, lying on the ground unable to move.
The furious One-eyed Giant roared skyward, leapt high and stomped the Knight into a meat pie, continuing its slaughter.
Run!
Run quickly!
A man and a woman frantically fled through the ruins.
They moved swiftly, using corners and piles of dirt to hide their forms, like two nimble little mice.
But they knew too little about the One-eyed Giant, this savage Legendary Creature lacked a nose, its large eye was merely decorative, and it had astounding hearing, able to detect even the tiniest sound.
So, their seemingly cautious escape path was useless, their footsteps revealing their position.
"Bang!"
A massive rock fell beside them, the resulting shockwave sending the woman flying.
"Sister!" The man’s expression changed, gnashing his teeth, he shouted:
"I’ll hold it, you go first!"
"No!"
"Go!"
The One-eyed Giant naturally ignored their argument, nor did it show mercy due to sibling affection.
The Wolf Fang Club wrapped in a Gale, a single sweep, the force alone blew the two away.
Once they landed, unable to move, the Wolf Fang Club descended fiercely.
It’s over!
The siblings’ expressions stiffened, eyes filled with despair, watching the descending Wolf Fang Club, their bodies trembling, but powerless to resist.
"Sss..."
At this moment, a red glow swept past.
The One-eyed Giant’s movements abruptly froze, its head slid from the neck, its body dropped heavily to the ground.
Dead!
This peak Legendary One-eyed Giant died just like that in front of the two.
Before the siblings could react, a flame-wrapped figure descended from the sky, landing before them.
"Survivors?"
"Perfect!"
Carl asked:
"Are there Evil God followers nearby?"
"Well..." The two were stunned, not knowing how to respond.
"Forget it!" Carl shook his head:
"I’ll handle it myself."
He extended a hand, a dark and eerie eye emerged in his palm, emitting light that enveloped the two.
The siblings were shrouded in light, their expressions becoming vacant, turning like marionettes.
Before long.
The two recovered, curling their bodies in a corner of the abandoned house, eyes filled with fear as they looked at the flame-man before them.
Carl rested his chin in his hand, contemplating his next move, as if he had forgotten the two beside him.
"My name is Dou Sha, I live by slaughter, but those I kill are all Divine’s Favored and Outer Realm Evil Gods."
After a while, he turned to the siblings, speaking in a muffled voice:
"Help me lure Evil God followers, for my slaughter!"
?
The two looked up in puzzlement.
"Us?"
The brother spoke dryly:
"Lure Evil God followers?"
"Your cultivation level is a bit lacking, but that’s easily fixed." Carl squinted, then extended his hand, a flame shot into the One-eyed Giant’s corpse, returning with a heart:
"Eat it!"
The One-eyed Giant was a Legendary Creature, possessing the Ancient Giant Bloodline, its heart contained Origin Power.
If a Great Knight consumed it, they might become a Knight.
Of course,
It’s only a chance.
However, Carl once used a Divine Domain Fragment to directly elevate a Great Knight to Legendary, now he can do the same.
"You bear my mark, don’t even think of running away, it’s best you don’t even have the thought of escaping."
"Now..."
Looking at the siblings he had transformed, he smiled:
"Go lure over the Evil God followers!"

*
No one knew how much power from Outer Domain Divines had infiltrated, even the Alliance of Gods couldn’t.
"One-eyed Giant, Mountain Poison Spider, Human-faced Willow, Ghost Crocodile..."
Several Divine’s Favored stood atop the clouds, gazing at the assortment of alien auras below. One of them shook his head and said:
"So many powerful abominations emerging in just a dozen years, it’s irrational."
"There aren’t many Evil Gods capable of spreading alien bloodlines." A follower said:
"Mother of All Things, Mad Chaos God, Life Altar..."
"Which one is it?"
"No matter which one, if they are exploiting the world’s essence, they are our enemy." An upper-level vassal spoke:
"Kill them!"
Below, each abomination possessed Legendary Level power, which doesn’t appear out of nowhere.
The Evil God’s power polluted the world essence, cultivating alien creatures.
Equivalent to plundering Origin Power.
"Yes!"
Everyone responded, scattering and rushing downward.
The weakest of the Divine’s Favored had Legendary Knight cultivation, with Divine Arts and corresponding wisdom granted by the Gods. Ordinary legendary abominations were no match for them.
As time passed, one by one, abominations were slain, and the pungent smell of blood spread all around.
"Huh?"
One lower vassal just killed a giant centipede, his gaze sweeping past a spot, his eyes flickering:
"What is that?"
He snapped his fingers, and several Wind Blades shot out swiftly.
The Wind Blades, sharp as knives, could easily slice through gold, iron, and stone, snapping grass and trees in their path.
"Swish!"
A figure darted out of the grass, showing no interest in confrontation, transforming into a Fire Line and flying into the distance.
"Human?"
The lower vassal raised his eyebrows slightly:
"Trying to escape?"
As a follower of the Wind God, he’s always been confident in his speed, and even other middle-level vassals of the Divine couldn’t match him.
At that moment, he transformed into a breeze, swiftly pursuing despite appearing slow.
Not long after.
The figure ahead stopped, panting heavily. The lower vassal revealed a cold smile, dispersing the breeze and appearing.
"Escape now!"
"Why don’t you keep running?"
The other party turned around, lightly shaking his head with a complex expression in his eyes:
"I’ve reached the destination."
"Hmm?" The lower vassal was stunned, and before he could react, a terrifying aura enveloped him.
Fear Aura!
Simultaneously.
Not far away, Carl extended his big hand, transforming into a huge flame palm, crushing the lower vassal.
"Bang!"
Source Material +5
"Not enough!"
Sensing the Source Material flowing into the Divine Domain Fragment, Carl showed displeasure:
"These lower vassals, even with ten or eight, aren’t enough to satiate me. Best to draw in middle or upper-level vassals."
"Ah!" The man’s face changed:
"A lower vassal is already First Tier Late Stage, middle-level vassals are Second Tier, and upper-level ones are Third Tier..."
"I’m afraid I can’t attract them."
"Useless!" Carl muttered lowly, his aura wild and dominant, capturing the man into his palm:
"I’ll teach you a movement technique that can transform into several indistinguishable flame phantoms, and also impart a Magic Door to trigger physical potential."
"Go lure the middle-level vassals!"
"And you."
He turned to the man’s sister, his voice full of dissatisfaction:
"Having eaten the flesh of two legendary abominations yet unable to become a Great Knight, if you don’t break through in three days, then die!"
The girl’s face paled, cold sweat breaking out on her forehead.
"The Divine’s Favored often come in groups. Though I don’t fear them, it’s troublesome; must attack them separately."
"Only two baits..."
"Too few!"
Scanning the siblings in the field, Carl snorted, drawing a single hand in front to create a fiery portal.
He stepped into it, his figure disappearing instantly.
The siblings exchanged looks, the sister’s eyes flickering, murmuring:
"Brother!"
"Should we escape?"
"Escape?" The man smiled wryly:
"Given this person’s... monster’s revealed methods, we’re unlikely to escape. Let’s temporarily work for him and seize an opportunity."
"Moreover, we can gain benefits from this, I have become legendary, and you’re about to be a Great Knight."
"Hmm." The sister nodded:
"Once I become a Great Knight, perhaps he’ll help me ascend to legendary, then use me as bait to attract Evil God’s followers."
"Indeed!" The man sighed:
"Countless times I dreamt of becoming legendary, but now I’m just bait for others."
"I wish your cultivation was lower, at least you’d be safe. Every time you go out, I fear you won’t return."
The girl was equally anxious.
Whenever her brother went out, she was worried about unforeseen disasters.
"That monster..."
"To dare to hunt the Divine’s Favored, misfortune will come sooner or later!"
