Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds-Chapter 622 - 39: Second Ring
What’s going on?
Lynn frowned, looking at the three people slowly surrounding him.
According to Julia, they were ’goods’ sent to him, meant to enhance his cultivation.
They should have been incapacitated, left to be slaughtered, but now they unexpectedly broke free.
Even Mandy, who was watching over them, was barely hanging on.
Where did it go wrong?
"Swish!"
Before Lynn could figure it out, the person on the left transformed into a spider the size of a millstone.
Intense flames wrapped around the spider’s body.
First Tier Creature—Fire Spider!
Spiders usually fear fire, but there are always some exceptions, and the Fire Spider is a kind of legendary creature that controls flames.
With a sudden leap, the Fire Spider’s sharp, slender legs stabbed forward like long spears.
The spears were like dragons, leaving afterimages.
"Swish!"
Dirt flew up under Lynn’s feet, and he darted through the gaps of the spider legs like a nimble snake.
Before he could land, everything went black, and a fire fox several meters long appeared in front of him, baring its fangs.
The fire fox crouched with its limbs on the ground, while fiery flames coalesced into blades around it, charging at Lynn like a gale.
"Hiss..."
Lynn’s body swayed, transforming into a Fire Scale Flood Dragon, coiling its serpentine body toward the fire fox.
On the other side.
"Roar!"
The last person transformed into a giant tiger, with eyes like rubies emitting a blazing light.
The tiger crouched slightly, about to launch a fierce attack, when a floating human skin suddenly appeared before it.
"Rustle..."
The human skin swelled with the wind, instantly turning into a giant over three meters tall, headbutting forward.
Hundred-faced Demon Susan!
"It seems your cultivation comes from devouring others, so you don’t even know how to use witchcraft."
The Fire Scale Flood Dragon barely counted as Second Tier. Facing two First Tier Late Stage demons, it was at least holding its ground.
However, their methods were quite bizarre, and for a moment, he couldn’t claim the upper hand.
"Aren’t you the same?"
The Fire Spider’s legs stabbed, the voice from its mouth was sharp and thin:
"Even though we don’t understand witchcraft, we possess the top-tier martial arts the Loo Family gathered from other worlds, which suits our current bodies perfectly."
"Catch my Myriad Spider Stab!"
The Fire Spider’s form flickered, changing unpredictably from east to west, its legs sharp and overwhelming, making it hard to defend against.
The fire fox was equally formidable.
It lunged, whipped its tail, and bit, and could further control flames to form blades, creating gales of fiery flames.
Although they did not understand witchcraft, they had fought their way up, their strength not weak.
Especially in this relatively small courtyard engaging in close combat, witchcraft proved less convenient than animal instincts.
Even a First Ring Late Stage Wizard might struggle here.
"Boom!"
The house was swept by flames, collapsing instantly.
The giant stones in the courtyard were slashed by the blades of flame, turning into a pile of rubble, which was then melted by the high temperature.
Indeed!
The Loo Family raised them to be top fighters and spared no resources.
This martial art, suitable for alien bodies, was rarely accessible to even their original forms, causing brief embarrassment.
Susan was even less able to cope.
The Hundred-faced Demon feared fire initially. Under the scorching flames, the faces on its body let out shrill screams.
Fortunately, Lynn was ultimately well-grounded, and coupled with the experience of a Martial Arts Master, after adapting, he gradually turned the tide.
"Swish!"
The large, slender serpent body agilely maneuvered, lightly brushing past the oncoming spider leg, coiling around the fire spider.
"Hiss hiss..."
Lynn flicked his forked tongue, his speed suddenly increased, and the fire spider was instantly constricted, unable to move.
Die!
With a low growl in his heart, the snake mouth bit down, severing the fire spider’s head.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, the fire fox also landed a few harsh blows on Lynn, leaving several ghastly gashes on the serpent body.
But it was of no consequence.
"Swish!"
The Fire Scale Flood Dragon pounced fiercely, spewing raging flames from its mouth.
"Boom!"
The fire from the Second Tier was clearly beyond the fire fox’s expectations. When it took it head on, it screamed miserably, its offensive collapsing instantly.
Lynn, seizing the advantage, rushed forward, lashing with his tail and biting, pinning down another.
"Hiss hiss..."
The snake body coiled, looking toward the last fire tiger.
"Only you left!"
The fire tiger had just sent the Hundred-faced Demon flying and hadn’t caught its breath when it saw its two companions slain, leaving it bewildered.
"How is this possible?"
It murmured:
"We are the elite of the same realm in the Dark Cave, once helped hunt down a Second Ring Wizard."
"You..."
"Dark Cave?" Lynn shifted his body:
"The place where the Loo Family raises fighters?"
"Bang!"
The two giant beasts clashed without holding back, resulting in a dull thud.
The tiger, known for strength, was sent flying in the collision with the more agile Fire Scale Flood Dragon.
"Enough."
Lynn shook his head:
"Where you come from doesn’t concern me, die now!"
Hmm?
Just as he prepared to pounce, his form flickered, instantly changing from the Fire Scale Flood Dragon back to his human form, retreating swiftly.
Simultaneously.
A large net descended from the sky, landing where the Fire Scale Flood Dragon had been, leaving evenly spaced marks upon contact with the ground.
If Lynn had retreated a moment later, he would have been torn to pieces on the spot.
"Who?"
"Useless." Dressed in black robe, Cregi appeared in mid-air, his eyes scanning over the tiger with displeasure:
"Three against one, and you couldn’t even handle it."
The tiger retracted its claws, displaying a somewhat embarrassed, human-like expression, retreating obediently behind him.
"Uh..." Lynn looked at the newcomer:
"Did you assist them in breaking free?"
"You must be a member of the Loo Family as well? Did you never consider the consequences of offending Miss Julia?"
"Miss Julia cares only for results, not how they’re achieved." Cregi shook his head:
"Anyone can lead her into the Viper Academy’s Star Realm base, doesn’t have to be you."
"Forget it!"
"Explaining to you is pointless. Since they couldn’t defeat you, I’ll have to do it myself."
"Swish!"
Before he finished speaking, a burst of white light erupted from Lynn, darting towards the courtyard’s exit.
"Trying to escape?"
Cregi’s face remained unchanged:
"A First Ring Wizard can’t possibly..."
"Huh?"
His eyes narrowed, revealing surprise:
"Three-eyed White Crow!"
At this moment, Lynn had transformed into a white crow with three eyes, heading towards the barrier.
The previously indestructible barrier rippled, and even the void seemed to tremble on site.
"Unbelievable!"
Cregi’s expression changed, extending the Primordial Energy Hand of Second Ring Magic to grab Lynn:
"You actually received a Second Tier Creature’s blessing."
A year ago, when Lynn advanced as a First Ring Wizard, he visited one of the Viper Academy’s Guardians, the Three-eyed White Crow.
The crow had given him a feather.
The Three-eyed White Crow bore a legendary bloodline, reputedly a messenger pigeon for an Ancient God.
It possessed extreme speed and the ability to traverse space.
Of course.
The Three-eyed White Crow was far less powerful than its ancestors, and the feather Lynn received retained only minor power.
Faced with a First Ring Wizard, he could certainly escape easily, but now he faced a Second Ring Wizard.
