Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree-Chapter 464: Curse Magic
It’s just that when Dali realized her current predicament, she quickly felt a bit embarrassed.
Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment and urgency, spreading instantly to her ears and neck.
But her gaze was incredibly focused and devout, suppressing the chaos inside and striving to concentrate her Spirit.
Droplets constantly fell from her hair, eyelashes, and nose tip, indistinguishable between bath water and beads of sweat from anxiety.
"Lord Duke..." Dali quickly responded.
The Duke didn’t know her exact situation now; he could only receive information from her through Divine Status, unable to directly see the scene.
However, once he’s able to control more power within the Divine Status, he can directly witness his devout follower through divine means.
"How is the situation with the sect recently?" the Duke asked casually.
Dali had calmed down by now, her heartbeat not as rapid, and replied, "The sect has been slowly expanding, and the number of followers is increasing..."
The development of the Light Sect is generally quite good, with Robert leading a group of players to help, resolving many troubles for them.
The player group has now become an undeniable force in the Oracle Plane; they may not have strong individual power, but they are indestructible.
Anyone would fear such enemies, even if they are relatively weak, but they are inherently undefeatable.
More terrifying is that players are continuously growing stronger, and such a group will only become more formidable in the future.
Robert, as the Duke’s attendant, naturally spares no effort in helping the Light Sect’s development.
If the Duke hadn’t prohibited him, he would have attempted to spread the Light Sect’s faith in the real world.
The Duke has some doubts about this, so he hasn’t allowed Robert to spread the Light Sect’s faith on Mercury, which is essentially his own faith.
"Hmm..." The Duke nodded slightly, listening to Dali’s report, "I need some Curse Magic, any level will do, gather whatever you can for me."
"Lord Duke, most Level 1 Magic I’ve gathered is of Light Attribute and has already been provided to you. I’ll go through the ancient texts again and should find something useful. As for higher-level ones, I haven’t mastered them yet..."
Dali’s response didn’t surprise the Duke; he knew that the Holy Daughter Dali didn’t hold many Magic, most of which have already been disclosed to him.
The Duke’s focus remains on Robert, as Robert can acquire Magic from other Four Gods Sect via player channels, which must be far more than what the Holy Daughter Dali can obtain.
After instructing, Dali requires some time to gather, thus concluding this conversation.
The Duke then contacted Robert, who was still working out in his personal gym on Mercury, stopping promptly when he sensed the Duke’s call.
This gym is extraordinary, custom-built at a high cost, essentially serving the Knight’s cultivation.
A Knight’s physical strength vastly exceeds ordinary people, so a typical gym cannot fulfill the needs of Breathing Technique cultivation, hence a special gym was created.
The Duke quickly conveyed his needs, not expecting that Robert had already been working on this.
He has continuously gathered various Curse Magic for his own research and mastery.
Ever since realizing that the Oracle is not a game but a real world, he understood the importance of these things and naturally wouldn’t miss any attainable Curse Magic.
Furthermore, Robert knows the Duke has been collecting these, so gathering Curse Magic is also for the Duke’s requirements.
After accumulating over time, he had amassed a considerable amount of Curse Magic, originating from the Light Sect and the Four Gods Sect.
Some may already be possessed by the Duke, but most are still usable.
Upon receiving the information from Robert, the Duke discovered seventeen new Curse Magic besides those he had already mastered.
These spells mostly come from the Four Gods Sect, involving earth, fire, wind, and water attribute Magic.
Though seventeen isn’t many, they’ve already constituted most of the Magic Robert can gather via player channels.
The Four Gods Sect still doesn’t fully trust players, offering very few Curse Magic.
Even the Light Sect follows suit, currently trusting only those on Robert’s side; it’s challenging for other players to join the Light Sect.
They focus more on developing followers from indigenous people of the Oracle Plane rather than these players.
Persuading players truly to believe in a god is harder than ascending to heaven.
The Duke is clear about this, praising Robert, as having subordinates assisting lightens his burden significantly without needing to spend time and effort on collecting Curse Magic.
This greatly saves his time and energy, otherwise merely traveling to and fro the Oracle Plane would be cumbersome.
With these Curse Magic, the Duke doesn’t need to worry about free attribute points for the upcoming period, just proceeding systematically to grind proficiency.
However, he also has to consider future issues, as the Curse Magic from the Oracle Plane can’t be infinite.
It already seems somewhat lacking, and it’s nearly impossible to acquire many new Curse Magic from the Light Sect.
Next, the focus can only be on the Four Gods Sect to fetch a certain number of Magic.
But the current Duke’s strength isn’t enough, and he fears obtaining much Curse Magic from the Four Gods Sect.
They release very few to players, and players can’t acquire many Curse Magic in the short term.
The Duke then also checked Robert’s current cultivation status; he’s still a low-tier Knight Attendant, with an extremely slow pace.
This situation is inevitable, given Mercury’s ridiculously low concentration of Free Energy Particles, resulting in the slow progress of Breathing Technique cultivation.
Robert is completely reliant on the Free Energy Particles generated by the Light Divine Breathing Technique itself for cultivation, and witnessing visible progress is already fortunate, at least he isn’t stagnant.
If he were to practice Meditation, he likely couldn’t proceed at all.
The Duke cannot aid Robert currently, merely advising him not to rush and to cultivate methodically.
After concluding the conversation with Robert, the Duke selected a Wind Attribute Magic from the newly collected seventeen spells and began cultivating.
He uttered strange syllables, and an arrow formed by Wind Attribute Energy hovered before him.
