World's Strongest Survivor-Chapter 100
Total Annihilation from the Start
After a brief strategy meeting, the black barrier vanished.
At the rear stood a female mage, a male mage, and a witch dressed in traditional Japanese shrine maiden attire.
In the center were three heavily armored shielders, including a female knight, bolstering their ranks with sheer mass.
Ahead of them stood Subaru and Haseo, arms crossed in unison.
At a glance, their formation looked well-balanced.
"You can choose the battlefield," Haseo offered generously.
As he spoke, numerous maps appeared before Seowoon’s eyes.
From them, Seowoon selected a circular arena reminiscent of a colosseum.
Instantly, the surroundings began to shift rapidly.
The sensation was like teleportation—by the time the team looked around, a system message chimed:
-Ding! A player has requested to spectate this battle. Do you allow spectators?
"We don’t mind. Though it might be a bit embarrassing for your side," Haseo said mockingly as he allowed spectators.
Seowoon smiled.
"There’s no way we’re the only ones who should get to see you get completely destroyed."
With Seowoon’s approval, spectators began to fill the arena’s stands, summoned in one by one.
Among them were familiar faces. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
From the Korean government: Jung Su-hwa and her agents in black suits.
Opposite them: members of the resistance, including Jung Soohee.
Even some figures from China appeared.
Among the crowd were foreigners—white and black—watching with interest.
"A lot of high-profile players here. Seems they all came to see you. They’ll regret wasting the airfare when they realize it was all for nothing."
Still sneering, Haseo pushed Seowoon’s last nerve.
But Seowoon only clenched his fist.
There was no need to hold back anymore.
Soon, that smug face would be getting a direct taste of Bloodbone Strike and Limitless Fist. Instead of responding, he simply enjoyed the thrill of anticipation.
-Battle begins in 10 seconds.
As the countdown appeared between the two formations, a transparent barrier separated them.
The moment the final number hit 0, the two formations moved—in stark contrast.
Haseo’s side held position, readying a magic barrage.
But Seowoon’s side?
They broke formation and charged headlong toward the enemy.
Seeing the collapse of formation, Haseo smiled—only for his eyes to widen in disbelief.
What had been a single young martial artist suddenly multiplied into five... then dozens... then uncountable numbers, all rushing toward them.
"What the hell is that?!"
"It’s not illusion magic!"
The female mage, seeing the phantasmal clones fill the field, screamed as she conjured a wall of blue mana.
"Don’t panic! They’re just fakes! Prepare the spells and shielders, hold your ground!"
Some clones were struck down by flying spells.
"See? Just illusions! Stay back and watch for the real one!"
Just as Haseo shouted the order, the two sides clashed.
Like a tidal wave crashing over gravel, Seowoon’s Nam Sa-gwang clones overwhelmed Haseo’s team with sheer numbers.
"Grahhh!"
One of the three shielders protecting the mages screamed as his arm flew into the air.
"He’s using Inner Force!"
Subaru, who had been slicing through clones like paper, turned serious at the word and lunged at a Nam Sa-gwang wielding Su-gang energy.
The instant he dashed forward, the head of the already disarmed knight hit the ground.
-CLANG!
As the flaming sword of Subaru clashed with the upward slash of Su-gang, the remaining clones sowed chaos in the ranks.
"They’re not illusions—!"
A mage, pushed back by a Nam Sa-gwang clone, couldn’t finish her sentence before her head was shattered and her body crumpled to the floor.
-Fall back!
After two enemies had already fallen, Ki-chan gave the command.
Two Nam Sa-gwang clones swiftly retreated from the melee.
At the same time, Ki-chan’s golden staff sliced through the air.
-Zeeeeeeeeeeen!
A shrill resonance pierced the air—rising into a high-frequency sonic pulse.
A shimmering blue barrier appeared near Haseo’s formation, flickered—and vanished.
"Damn it! It’s an Anti-Mana Wave!"
The female mage staggered, shouting.
Even the witch faltered, pale and shaken, her lips moving desperately behind her crystal ball.
Once again, Nam Sa-gwang’s clones multiplied like bacteria and surged toward Haseo’s team like a second wave.
But this time, they were joined by limin and Jinryung Lilingyu.
"P-Poison! Cast detoxify!"
The knight guarding the mages cried out in anguish.
"No magic until the mana stabilizes! Drink antidote potions!"
"Y-You idiot! How can we in the middle of—"
The knight didn’t finish the sentence.
Blood trickled from his eyes and ears before he collapsed.
His limbs convulsed violently, his body sprawled on the ground—a sight far too gruesome to look at.
With the fall of a second knight, the mages were left almost completely unprotected.
Subaru, locked in combat with Nam Sa-gwang, had no room to help.
And Haseo, facing Seowoon—who had himself become a Nam Sa-gwang—was just as helpless.
All that remained were a lone female knight, a powerless witch, and a female mage.
"Hey, pretty boy. If you can’t take him down fast, all those women of yours are gonna die."
"Kill him! He’s way more interesting right now."
It was impossible for those three — the weakened witch and mage and a single knight — to stand against Seowoon’s six-man squad.
Poison fog filled the air, and Juriel and kichan’s spells bombarded them. The three women had no choice but to fall to their knees in short order.
Even the knight, who had held out with her high magic resistance, eventually succumbed to Lilingwei’s poison. Pierced through the gaps in her armor by Jinlong and Limin’s blades, she collapsed to the ground.
The situation turned one-sided in an instant, shocking the most the spectators who had only been watching.
Not only the Korean players, but even those from Europe jumped to their feet in astonishment.
"H-How can there be such a difference?"
"I’ve never even heard of skills like those!"
While others watched in disbelief, the only ones enjoying the spectacle with composed expressions were the Chinese players.
"The power gap is even clearer than I thought."
"They’re all Crowns, but we expected a quality gap between Japanese players who only look for easy games and others."
"Even so, Subaru’s items are strong enough to make up for that."
The man who had fought Seowoon responded with disinterest to the woman filming the fight, removing her sunglasses.
"I got the picture the moment I saw how composed he was. From the start, those islanders never had a chance. That guy’s number of rounds is incredibly low. Before long, Asia’s balance of power is going to shift around him."
"Isn’t that a bit of an exaggeration? From what I can see, that young martial artist seems more overwhelming than Seowoon himself. He’s the one who’s completely neutralizing Subaru."
The man shook his head, keeping his eyes fixed on the battlefield.
"Idiot. Recruiting someone like that into his squad is proof of Seowoon’s ability. Do you think someone with that much power would join a squad they don’t respect?"
Bailun, head of China’s Ability Management Team and himself a player, was spot-on in his assessment.
He was a veteran who had survived Cloyd 122 times and understood Seowoon’s strength perfectly.
"With a squad like that, most guilds wouldn’t even be able to get a foot in the door. Even a few truckloads of guilds like Asia Seal wouldn’t stand a chance against those eight."
Bailun completely revised his plan to recruit Seowoon.
A man who could form a squad of that level would never join a guild created by the likes of them.
In contrast, players from other countries were loudly insisting that Seowoon must be recruited at any cost.
Even the agents beside Jung Suhwa looked to her in shock.
"Team Leader! That man is—"
"Don’t say a word. Not unless you want him as an enemy."
Despite her sharp words, the agent couldn’t hold back.
"But to normalize this situation—"
"This whole mess started because of you people and that Kimchi-sangi. We’re lucky he hasn’t turned hostile. And now you think you can blabber in front of him like that? Try it, if you’re ready to deal with the consequences."
"..."
Seeing Seowoon isolate and push Hasio into a corner like he was toying with him, the man could say no more.
"You bastard!!"
Hasio’s transformation and clones vanished as his energy ran dry.
He now faced Seowoon in his original form.
Clang!
The mithril Seowoon had brought from Cloyd, entrusted to the finest alchemists and artisans, had become Japan’s strongest blade.
The black katana, Masamune, twice-enhanced with reinforcement stones and bearing top-tier stats, was blocked barehanded — and with a smile — by Seowoon, whose calm expression twisted Hasio’s face in rage.
Fssh!
Hasio’s sword, gripped with both hands, began to tremble and sag.
Thud.
Seowoon dropped a chunk of Hasio’s shoulder flesh to the ground and smiled sweetly.
"Oops. Meant to pull it out, but it tore off."
That twisted smile — saying he accidentally tore off Hasio’s flesh — finally broke through the haze of Hasio’s rage.
Fear, greater than anger, brought his mind back to clarity.
There was too much riding on this battle.
And the tide of the fight — a fight he absolutely could not afford to lose — had already turned irrevocably against him.
Unable to raise his right arm, Hasio dropped his sword from his left hand and pulled out a coin, tossing it to Seowoon.
The moment Seowoon instinctively caught it, a notification rang out.
Ding! A draw request has been submitted. Will you accept—
Clink!
Seowoon tossed the coin away before the message even finished.
"Typical islander bullshit — you’re good at that crap, huh?"
"W-Wait! Just hear me out! It’s a good offer, I promise. Japan is willing to go all-in to support you, Jin Seowoo— AAAAAARGH!"
Thud-thud-thud. SSSSSHHH!
His arm was torn clean off, and blood that had only been dripping moments ago burst out like a fountain.
In a flash, Seowoon closed the distance and ripped off Hasio’s limp right arm, forcing a scream from his throat.
Hearing that pain-filled wail, seeing his twisted expression — it felt like the release of years’ worth of pent-up frustration.
Seowoon, with a satisfied grin, spoke again.
"I wanted to hear that scream. Every time you smirked in front of me, I wanted to tear you apart like this."
Crack!
Before Hasio could even retrieve his dropped weapon, Seowoon ripped off his left arm too.
Faces of the watching players turned ghostly pale.
Even for veterans of Cloyd — a place of endless death — watching someone rip off another person’s limbs barehanded was still beyond horrific.
"Ugh! P-Please... Listen to me... Just hear the offer..."
CRACK!
Before he could finish, Hasio’s head shattered into pieces, his pitiful body collapsing to the floor.
Dragged to the far corner of the arena and utterly annihilated, Hasio’s blood splattered across Seowoon’s face as he grinned.
That gruesome image — face smeared with blood, smiling like a lunatic — sent chills down the spines of all watching players.
Especially the Korean agents, who were hit even harder by the shock.
"What was it you said we should do earlier?"
In response to Jung Suhwa’s words, the agent clammed up like a scolded child.
Jung Soohee, glancing at her, shook her head.
"We’re really in the shit now, picking a fight with someone like that."
"We’re not exactly on friendly terms with him either, you know?"
"Still, he’s better than the people sitting over there. At least our side has more in common with him in terms of what we’re aiming for."
"I’m not so sure. Thinking back to our last meeting, it didn’t really feel that way."
Jeong Suhwa locked eyes with Jeong Soohee, who suddenly stood up from her seat.
"Leaving already?"
"The match is already decided. That guy drenched in money will just hold out a bit longer before he’s finished. There won’t be any surprises."
Two Resistance players followed her as she exited the arena.
—Kkageug!
Subaru’s sword screamed under Namsagwang’s storm-like attacks.
Despite being reinforced multiple times and even imbued with aura, making it more durable than most weapons, the sword cried out in protest—causing Subaru’s anxiety to spike.
He poured out every skill he had learned and mastered.
Even pulled out 4th-circle magic in desperation, but the enemy didn’t let a single strike through.
It felt like clashing against an impenetrable wall—its end nowhere in sight—and Subaru became increasingly nervous.
Looking around, he realized he was the only teammate left.
The enemy team hadn’t lost a single member, and now they stood with arms crossed, watching his duel with that martial brute. He couldn’t understand what was happening.
—Kkagak! Jjeogeong!
At last, his sword couldn’t endure the pressure and snapped—and in that moment, the enemy’s aura blade closed in on his body.
Instinctively, he cast a defensive skill and charged into the attack.
Relying on his armor, trusting his defense, he swung his broken sword—but the enemy’s figure blurred.
—Puk!
"Kgh!"
A groan escaped his lips along with a foreign pain.
A small gap between his arm and shoulder—
The thinned aura blade pierced it with precision.
The aura blade, once inside, exploded like dynamite, ripping through his insides.
Just as the searing pain made his head spin—
—Puh-uk!
His head burst, and through the helmet that had covered his face, sticky blood and brain matter spilled out.
Seeing the spectacle, Seowoon clicked his tongue.
"Tsk tsk. All of that could’ve been reused... What a waste."
"Whew. If we hadn’t done this, he would’ve lasted a few more hours. Lucky there was that small gap in the armor. This armor’s seriously tough. Even with mid-tier techniques, it blocked nearly all of my power. I want it."
At Namsagwang’s comment, Seowoon’s expression brightened.
If even Namsagwang acknowledged its quality, then the armor’s value must be extraordinary.
"Good work. That’s your share... I guess calling it a gift would be weird."
Looking at the female knight who was still barely alive and bleeding, Namsagwang sent out a blast of aura and ended her life.
"I’m not interested in damaged goods."
As his teammates shrugged at his firm preferences, a notification rang out.
—Dding-ding-ding! All battles have ended. The winning team is Jin Seowoon’s squad. Please move to the waiting room to begin execution.
