X-ray Eyes Little Wild Doctor-Chapter 193 - 188: The Wings of a Fly
Chapter 193: Chapter 188: The Wings of a Fly
"Ye Tian? Ha, just a small fry from a second-tier city, hardly worth mentioning in my presence."
This was the second time Deng Lishi had heard the name Ye Tian. Although he had never seen Ye Tian in person, he figured Ye Tian was just a minor character, not worth his attention.
"Mr. Deng makes sense; Ye Tian is no match for you. With just one move from you, Ye Tian will be dead without a place to bury him," Yun Feng said with a flattering smile.
"I don’t want to waste too much time in this small city. Kill that Ye Tian, and I’ll return to the Capital City tonight," Mr. Deng looked at Wang Qiang.
"No problem, of course no problem. I’ve already booked the evening flight," Wang Qiang said cheerfully.
Deng Lishi nodded in satisfaction, then picked up a handgun, snorted coldly, and repeatedly pulled the trigger against his chest. The gun made popping sounds, and flames burst from the muzzle as bullets shot out, all hitting his chest.
His expensive shirt was immediately riddled with bullet holes and turned into a charred mess, but Deng Lishi acted as if nothing had happened. He casually tore off his shirt, revealing a red, unscathed chest, without a single injury!
This scene once again surprised both Yun Feng and Wang Qiang.
"This time, Ye Tian is definitely dead!" Yun Feng thought happily.
Once Ye Tian was dead, Yun Xinyan would wholeheartedly support him. Then he could easily arrange for Yun Xinyan to marry young Master Wang Qiang, and all the glory and riches would come to him effortlessly.
Deng Lishi said, "Tell me where that Ye Tian is. I’ll go wipe him out now. I have things to take care of in the Capital City, and I don’t want to waste time in Jiangcheng."
Wang Qiang immediately agreed and ordered his subordinates to bring up Ye Tian’s information.
"Young master, according to reliable intelligence, Ye Tian is currently at the amusement park, apparently practicing archery," his subordinate said.
"Is the information reliable?" Wang Qiang asked.
"Very reliable. The brothers saw him go in themselves; there’s no mistake," the subordinate replied.
Wang Qiang turned to the imposing Deng Lishi and asked, "Deng Lishi, what do you think?"
"Kill!" Deng Lishi declared immediately.
"Good, let’s head to the archery range now. Today is Ye Tian’s death day!" Wang Qiang’s lips curled in a cold smile as he recalled the humiliations he had suffered and reminded, "When the time comes, don’t kill him immediately. I want to torture him well, let him know what happens when he offends me! Hahaha!"
"Agreed," Deng Lishi said.
"Someone, prepare the car. To the archery range!" Wang Qiang immediately ordered.
The happiest person was still Yun Feng. He glanced at his watch; it was already ten o’clock. Driving from the city center to the archery range would take at most half an hour.
"Ye Tian, oh Ye Tian, in just half an hour, you’ll be going to hell. I’ve waited too long for this moment, hahaha!" Yun Feng gloated internally.
...
Sitting on a bench under the pavilion at the archery range, Ye Tian had his legs up on the table, slowly sipping soda water from a bottle.
The sky was overcast, looking like it would rain heavily soon.
"Is it already ten thirty? Time really flies," Ye Tian remarked as he checked the time on his phone, feeling a bit hungry. He jumped off the bench to grab a fruit plate from nearby.
Just as he approached the table, he saw Zhang Ye walking towards him, wearing a mischievous smile.
Ye Tian didn’t have a good impression of Section Chief Zhang. S grabbing the fruit plate and snacks, he started to walk back, but then Zhang, the section chief, actually approached him.
"Interested in joining for fun? How about we test our archery skills? Dare to try?" Zhang Ye challenged Ye Tian, carrying a titanium alloy bow with an air of provocation.
"Sorry, I’m not interested. You should find someone else to compete with," Ye Tian declined.
Ye Tian didn’t care to entertain him, and lay back down on the bench, took a sip of soda, and ate a piece of cake, showing a blissfully content expression.
"What? You’re such a coward! Are you afraid to compete with me? Are you afraid you’ll lose to me?"
Zhang Ye was a bit upset and resorted to reverse psychology. Then he grabbed a bow, placed it in front of Ye Tian, and even took two arrows from his quiver to hand to him.
"I said I’m not interested means I’m not interested. Stop bothering me; can’t you see I’m enjoying my food?" Ye Tian replied coldly.
"You!" Zhang Ye frowned.
He had intended to invite Ye Tian to an archery contest to humiliate him.
Zhang, the section chief, was a regular at this archery range, often came here for fun, and even occasionally flirted with the ladies. His skills in archery were not to be underestimated. Apart from Xie Huadong, and no one else here could match him.
If Ye Tian had agreed to the challenge, Zhang Ye would have shown him his place. But who could have expected that this little security guard named Ye Tian would show such a lack of manliness? Despite Zhang Ye goading him with such words, Ye Tian still refused to engage.
"What a coward!" Zhang Ye cursed inwardly, then strode away from Ye Tian, walking towards Xie Huadong and Bai Lan.
Bai Lan was naturally beautiful and looked particularly stunning today in a deep V-neck white blouse, which made her ample bosom all the more noticeable, causing the young men to look away.
Xie Huadong seized the opportunity while teaching Bai Lan archery to take advantage of her, which made Bai Lan furious right then and there.
"I’m not learning anymore, you guys play!" Bai Lan dropped the bow and arrows and left sulkily.
"Bai Lan, don’t go, I still have many techniques to show you." Xie Huadong felt some regret.
Bai Lan didn’t pay him any mind and walked straight over to Ye Tian’s bench, sitting down with a huff.
"So angry? Who upset my beautiful Bai, was it that guy named Xie Huadong? Want me to teach him a lesson for you?" Ye Tian said with a mischievous smile.
"A bunch of perverts, not a good one among them!" Bai Lan said while taking a slice of papaya from the fruit plate and eating it as she spoke.
"Oh my goodness, your boobs are already that big, and you still dare to eat papaya?" Ye Tian teased shamelessly, "You really are heartless."
"Mind your own business!" Bai Lan gave him a glare and snapped, "You’re no better, always bullying me, bad guy!"
Ye Tian made a bitter face: "I didn’t even provoke you. Why are you getting angry at me? I’m as wronged as Dou E here."
Bai Lan pouted her lips and punched Ye Tian’s shoulder, snapping, "It’s all because of you, it’s all your fault, I’ll hit you, I’ll hit you."
Ye Tian seemed to enjoy it: "Tsk tsk tsk, that feels good, you should’ve been a massage therapist, keep hitting, why did you stop? I haven’t had enough yet."
From a distance, Xie Huadong and others saw the two exchanging playful banters and immediately frowned, picked up their personal bows and arrows, and walked over with big strides.
Fang Dali and Zhang Ye exchanged glances, silently commenting that a good show was about to start, and followed behind Xie Huadong, putting down their bows and arrows.
Xie Huadong confronted Ye Tian and bluntly said, "Ye Tian, right? I challenge you to an archery contest, best of three rounds, do you dare?"
Ye Tian shrugged his shoulders: "Busy here." He then picked a slice of watermelon with a toothpick and fed it to Bai Lan, asking cheerfully, "Tasty?"
"Tasty," Bai Lan nodded.
Xie Huadong, green with jealousy, almost burst into flames in his eyes, and shouted, "Ye Tian, are you even a man? A man would accept the challenge!"
"Sorry, I’m busy feeding our little beauty here, and I can’t spare any attention for you, do whatever you like." Ye Tian completely ignored him, and handed Bai Lan a slice of orange to eat.
His face rejected, Xie Huadong, furious and ashamed, sarcastically said, "I think you’re afraid to lose, that’s why you’re afraid to accept my challenge. How about this, I’ll let you shoot an arrow first, how about that?" He added, "If someone loses, they must kneel and bark like a dog."
Hearing this, Zhang Ye and others immediately burst into laughter, with Fang Dali laughing so hard he bent over.
Zhang Ye said with a mischievous laugh, "I really want to see what Ye Tian looks like kneeling on the ground, hahaha."
Ye Tian snorted coldly, looking displeased.
"You guys are too much, you shouldn’t joke like this! Ye Tian, let’s go, don’t bother with these people, they’re just boring!"
Bai Lan stood up; Ye Tian was her friend she had brought along, and with these people slandering him so, she naturally felt uncomfortable.
Bai Lan, always decisive and straightforward, immediately took Ye Tian’s hand and strode toward another gazebo.
Xie Huadong’s face twisted unsightly, clearly showing Bai Lan was shielding that little security guard; he couldn’t fathom what stroke of luck that kid had to have won Bai Lan’s favor.
"What do we do now?" Zhang Ye asked.
"What else can we do? Handle it yourselves from now on, and don’t bother me anymore." Xie Huadong turned away coldly and walked off.
Bai Lan pulled Ye Tian to another gazebo and said, "I’m so sorry to have put you through that. If I’d known they’d be like this, I wouldn’t have invited you."
"It doesn’t matter to me." Ye Tian looked relaxed, whistling a pleasant tune.
A green-headed fly buzzed over, incessantly circling above the fruit plate; Bai Lan swatted it away, but it came right back, quite annoyingly.
Ye Tian with his legs crossed, casually took an arrow from Bai Lan’s bag, squinting his eyes, and made a comical aiming gesture.
"Silly, what are you trying to do?" Bai Lan jabbed his forehead with her finger, disdainfully saying, "You’re not thinking of shooting the fly, are you? Stop joking, okay?"
"Wrong, not the fly, I’m targeting the fly’s wings."
Just then, Ye Tian bent the bow and set the arrow, hardly aiming, and the arrow whizzed out, shooting crookedly into the bushes, looking as awkward as could be.
"Pfft!" Bai Lan burst into laughter, saying, "I hadn’t realized you had a talent for comedy, it’d be a waste if you weren’t doing sketch comedy."
While they were talking, a black speck fell from the sky, landing precisely on the fruit plate in Bai Lan’s hand, making her quickly look down in surprise.
A green-headed fly kept spinning in the fruit plate; there was nothing special about the fly except that it was missing a pair of wings, turning it into a clumsy bug, looking quite ugly.
"Am I seeing this right? Is this real!?" Bai Lan couldn’t believe her own eyes.
