X-ray Eyes Little Wild Doctor-Chapter 196 - 191 The Might of the Sword God
Chapter 196: Chapter 191 The Might of the Sword God
The arrow was fierce and unstoppable; after piercing through the skull, its power still not exhausted, it continued to skewer the two bandits behind in a single shot.
One arrow fired, three lives ended!
"Big Bro!" The bandits shouted in alarm, their roars hysterical.
All desperate criminals accustomed to pillaging, their nature was savage and brutal, with no time for idle talk. Almost simultaneously, every bandit raised their weapons, and fire burst from the barrels. Brass bullet casings clinked to the ground, bullets rained down like a downpour, a barrage that covered the sky, aimed freely at Ye Tian’s men; it was an understatement to call it overwhelming.
"Getting desperate already? That’s all you’ve got? Heh, how boring," Ye Tian was not only fearless but also visibly disappointed.
His feet moved at blinding speed, his form blurring into a hazy shadow. Dodging left and right, swaying unsteadily as if drunk, his movements were amusing to witness.
Following a minute of crazed firing and a chaotic bombardment of hundreds of copper-jacketed bullets, the ground was littered with hot casings glistening yellow under the eyes. The bandits hid behind the hostages, hurriedly ducking down to reload.
Ye Tian stretched leisurely and glanced at his watch, saying, "It’s time to put an end to this; I still need to go home and cook for my wife. I’m done playing with you guys."
This scene stunned everyone.
"My God, is this guy human or a ghost? How could he not be dead?" Xie Huadong was shocked, unsure whether to feel happy or concerned. "My Lord, what kind of entity did I offend before!"
The bandits were also panicked. They were not afraid of the police, but dealing with a demon was a first for them.
"A master, definitely a top-level master!" The third brother, who had once been involved in special fields, was scared out of his wits. Ye Tian’s extraordinary performance reminded him of that horrifying place: "This guy is definitely a master from the dark world, and at least top 20 on the Heavenly List!"
Meanwhile, the criminal police in bulletproof vests were dumbfounded: "Am I seeing things wrong? Surviving a barrage of bullets unscathed, how is this possible? It simply can’t be! Am I dreaming right now, yet why does it feel so real!"
With a faint smile, Ye Tian immediately nocked his bow, but this time he placed five arrows at once. Without even aiming, he casually let fly, sending the five sharp arrows on their way.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The five sharp arrows pierced the air, turning into five streaks of lightning, aimed directly at the bandits opposite.
The bandits were hidden behind the hostages; unless Ye Tian shot through the hostages, they were certain they could not be harmed. They were confident in this, knowing that in another 2 seconds, they would be able to reload and unleash another barrage of gunfire, turning this guy into a hornet’s nest.
Unfortunately, those five flying arrows didn’t need 2 seconds to pierce through all of them.
As the arrows turned into streaks of light, spinning rapidly as they flew, they seemed to have eyes of their own, miraculously bypassing the hostages and hitting the bandits behind them.
"The arrows turned mid-flight! How is that possible!" The bandits died without understanding.
Five arrows, each piercing through two men, striking a perfect candied haw pattern. A total of ten bandits were hit, all falling to the ground, with none spared.
After those five arrows, the ground was littered with bandits gasping their last breaths, the air filled with the stench of brains and blood. The hostages were covered in the glaring crimson blood, splattered from the bandits.
"Who exactly are you?"
The third brother asked this question before dying, yet he never managed to hear Ye Tian’s reply, having already breathed his last.
The heinous bandits were all finally killed, and the hostages, who had been in a state of high tension, were now reborn, feeling a multitude of emotions in their narrow escape from death.
The women huddled together, crying and wailing, while the men slumped on the grass, too dispirited to wipe the blood from their faces, their eyes empty as they stared blankly at the sky. The sky was still so clear and blue, yet they nearly lost sight of it.
To be alive felt wonderful! That was the thought in everyone’s mind at the moment.
A certain lady of fair appearance stopped sobbing, called her parents to assure them of her safety, then suddenly remembered she had not yet thanked that lone hero. She looked around but could not find him anywhere, so she could only keep her gratitude in her heart, with lingering thoughts swirling in her dreamy mind.
In fact, after Ye Tian had killed all the bandits, he hurried off to meet up with Wang Ke’er.
"Ahem, I say, Princess Taiping, I’ve helped you with such a big favor today, how are you going to thank me?" Ye Tian’s smile held a sly charm: "How about promising your body to me, huh?"
Wang Ke’er’s face flushed as she scolded, "I will definitely not go back on what I promised you earlier. Come with me," she said, boarding a police car.
Ye Tian’s eyes lit up: "Oh my, could it be the legendary car ride, and in a police car at that? I like this vibe, hahaha." He immediately got into the police car.
In fact, the police car wasn’t very spacious, and there wasn’t enough room for a car shake. Ye Tian had barely settled into his seat when Wang Ke’er floored the gas pedal, and the police car burst into the desolate area of the archery range, then stopped in front of a bend in the stream.
This was an artificial river with a meager water volume and clarity. A few blue lotus flowers dotted the water’s surface, and a small white marble arch bridge spanned the river, more for providing scenery for visitors than for any innate beauty. The view wasn’t great, but it was better than nothing.
Inside the police car, Wang Ke’er, without any warning, planted a kiss on Ye Tian’s lips.
The kiss was so sudden that Ye Tian was caught off guard. It ended before he could truly enjoy it.
Wang Ke’er’s face had turned bright red. The girl must have been overwhelmingly shy—giving away her first kiss like that left anyone feeling unsettled. Fidgety, she got out of the police car, walked a few steps, then suddenly stopped, turned her back to the young man in the car, and said, "Thank you."
The phone suddenly rang. It was Bai Lan’s number on the display. Ye Tian immediately snapped back to reality, realizing he had been too preoccupied with the serene police flower to pay attention to the stunning beauty Bai Lan.
"If Wang Ke’er had Bai Lan’s chest, and Bai Lan had Wang Ke’er’s gentleness, that would be perfect. But again, where in the world can you find a person who has it all? My wife is the perfect one, after all." Ye Tian got out of the police car, his mind entertaining pleasant thoughts, and quickly went to find Bai Lan.
The bloodshed at the archery range had been quite a shock to Bai Lan. Although she had obediently stayed in a safe place as Ye Tian had told her to, the continuous gunfire outside still scared her.
Compared to worrying about her own safety, she was more concerned for Ye Tian’s well-being, fervently praying that he would come out unharmed.
Ye Tian quickly found Bai Lan and gave her a brief account, "Nothing serious, just a bunch of bank robbers. They’ve been taken down. The police are cleaning up now."
"Are you hurt? Let me check," Bai Lan was most concerned about Ye Tian.
"And you say you don’t have feelings for me, look at how concerned you are, your face is as red as a monkey’s butt, hahaha." Ye Tian, ever the heartless joker, was about to drive Bai Lan mad with his levity while she was genuinely worried.
As for his heroic act of shooting all the bandits, Ye Tian didn’t mention a word. Such matters really weren’t worth mentioning.
After returning the archery equipment and getting his deposit back, Ye Tian left with Bai Lan.
"How are Xie Huadong and the others? Why haven’t I seen them come out?" Bai Lan headed towards her Mini, noticing Zhang Ye’s Toyota parked next to it, and she immediately thought of them.
Ye Tian shrugged, "Them? Hehe, they were whisked away to the hospital by the ambulance early on. I reckon they won’t be coming out for three months."
"You seem to be enjoying their misfortune a bit too much. Actually, they are okay guys, just a little opportunistic. But that’s how society is, you can’t blame them," Bai Lan explained, she opened the car door and elegantly got into the driver’s seat—she dared not let Ye Tian drive again; the guy wasn’t just driving, he was practically street racing.
"I never would have guessed, big-bosomed Bai Lan is quite kind-hearted, even speaking up for them with a smile," Ye Tian said with a smirk.
"Don’t talk nonsense!" Bai Lan’s face turned red at the rude remark, harshly protesting, "And don’t you stare! If you do, I’ll gouge out your eyes."
"Fine, I won’t look. Can I touch, then?" Ye Tian asked suggestively.
Ye Tian, ever the teaser, actually made a move.
"Can you stop messing around!" Bai Lan was getting annoyed.
"Alright, alright," Ye Tian shrugged his shoulders.
Bai Lan frowned, really wanting to lash out, but then she decided against it. She had grown accustomed to Ye Tian’s shameless behavior; this wasn’t the first time. If Ye Tian suddenly became a gentleman, she would actually find it weird.
Ye Tian rolled down the window, stretched lazily, and gazed casually at the scenery outside. A van parked across the street immediately caught his attention.
At this moment, the gun battle had been raging for some time. Everyone who could hear the gunfire stayed away, yet there sat the van with its driver, not in a hurry to flee danger. Something was definitely off.
But Ye Tian didn’t think much of it. There could be exceptions, perhaps the driver had a reason for staying.
Bai Lan’s slender hand turned the car key, the engine hummed to life, and her foot gently pressed the gas pedal as she lightly released the clutch. With her fair wrist twirling the steering wheel, the sedan started to move smoothly.
The Mini’s power wasn’t incredibly strong, and Bai Lan drove very steadily. The car wasn’t moving too fast and soon joined the rest of the traffic. Ye Tian noticed someone in the van rolled down their window, revealing a square-jawed face that stared at him with a cold, sinister smile.
Abnormal occurrences herald the supernatural!
Ye Tian shouted, "Not good!"
