Yandere Levelling in Her World-Chapter 200 - 201: Battle of Leviathans
Meiling rushed to the top of the outpost, her heart pounding like a war drum. The ocean surrounded them on all sides, its dark waters churning under the night sky.
Several of her loyal Lan followers joined her up there, their faces pale in the flashing lights. The sirens wailed without end, mixing with the crazy sounds echoing from everywhere. Crashes like thunder, roars that shook the soul, and screams of wind that sounded almost human.
"Look at that!" one follower shouted, a young woman named Maila with wide eyes. She pointed south, where the horizon glowed with unnatural fire. "Buildings... they're just crumbling!"
Meiling squinted into the distance. Far away, on the southern side, tall structures that once dotted the coastline were being tossed aside like children's toys. One by one, they shattered, sending plumes of dust and debris into the air. Her stomach twisted. What force could do that? She turned to the others, seeing their fear etched deep.
A woman clutched her weapon, a glowing gun that is embedded with her power. "Lady Meiling, this is madness! The ground is shaking like the world is ending. What if we can't hold?"
Another follower wiped sweat from her brow. "I've fought beasts before, but this... this feels different. Like the sea itself is angry. We're surrounded by water. No escape if it comes for us."
Meiling nodded, trying to stay strong. But inside, her mind raced about her mother. Lan Xinyue had vanished from the sleeping cell. How? Why now? She glanced around the outpost, her eyes darting from person to person.
Everything seemed to slow down. She noticed every shout and yell echoing in her ears. Every motion like trembling of people, or some shifting their eet nervously. The wind whipped her hair, and the ocean's waves crashed louder, as if time itself stretched.
From the corner of her eye, she thought she saw a figure standing on the distant building that served as the current headquarters of the Lan family. Her family home, or what was imitating it. The silhouette looked human, but something felt off. Before she could focus, a sharp shout pulled her away.
"It's coming in this direction!" one of her underlings bellowed from below, her voice cut through the chaos like a blade.
Meiling whipped her head south again. There, cutting through the waves, was a massive swell. Not just water, but something darker, a big wave of churning foam and shadow drawing toward them at terrifying speed. "Get all the powers ready!" Meiling commanded, her voice steady despite the fear gnawing at her. "Everyone, channel your powers! Warriors, form the barrier! We hold the wall and kill this monster!"
The followers scrambled. "Yes, Lady Meiling!" they yelled, igniting their own energy aura. some raised their power embedded, muttering incantations. "Spirits of the deep, lend us strength!"
As the creature emerged from the sea, the outpost's floodlights pierced the night, revealing its horror. It had red scaled skin, glistening and armored like a crocodile. Several tentacles whipped out from its body, each ending in clusters of grasping hands and unblinking eyes that stared with mad hunger.
The main form was worm-like, slithering through the water with a disgusting grace, its maw lined with rows of jagged teeth. Slime dripped from it, bubbling on the waves.
"Oh goddess, what is that thing?" a woman gasped, stumbling back. "It's... it's a nightmare!"
Some followers couldn't take it. A few turned and ran, their screams piercing. "I can't fight that! Run for your lives!" one cried as she fled down the stairs.
Meiling froze for a few seconds, her blood turning cold. The sight hit her like a punch. But then, deep within, her Imperial Qi stirred. A massive dragon of golden threads burst forth behind her, roaring silently. It lit the whole area in radiant light, casting long shadows and bathing everyone in warmth. Hope flickered in their eyes.
"Look! Lady Meiling's dragon!" One shouted, her voice lifting. "We're not done yet!"
They quickly straightened. "Yeah! With that power, we can take it!"
The monster drew closer, its tentacles lashing at the waves. The outpost trembled. Followers aimed their weapons, Qi energies crackling in the air. "Fire on my mark!" Meiling ordered, her dragon coiling protectively. Suspense hung thick. Hearts raced. Fingers twitched on triggers. The creature's eyes locked on them, promising death.
But suddenly, from the side, another massive form erupted from the depths. A whale-looking creature, enormous and slightly glowing in the dark sky, slammed into the red monster. Water exploded in a geyser, drenching the outpost.
"What in the hell?" Meiling exclaimed, her eyes wide in surprise.
Everyone stared, jaws dropping. "Another one?" someone whispered. "Is it... helping us?"
They leaned over the edge. "Whoa! Look at that! It's attacking the red thing!"
The kaiju-like battle unfolded on the sea. The whale creature charged again, its massive jaws snapping. It rammed the worm-monster, sending shockwaves that rocked the outpost. Tentacles whipped back, hands grabbing at the whale's fins.
Eyes on the tentacles shot beams of dark energy, scorching the water. The whale roared, a deep bellow that vibrated the air, and countered with a tail smash that cracked scales.
"That big fish is on our side, right? It has to be!"
People nodded frantically. "Who is that other creature? Some guardian of the deep? Maybe the spirits answered my call!"
Others murmured in agreement. "Yeah, it's fighting for us!" one shouted. "Take it down, big guy!"
But Meiling's brow furrowed. She started to remember. That whale... it looked familiar. The same creature that the man was imprisoned inside, back when she rescued that looking person from its belly. Wait, no... her mind flashed to a hazy memory.
A prisoner trapped in a beast like this, during a rescue mission long ago. "That whale... I've seen it before," she muttered.
The battle raged on. The whale seemed to be winning, pinning the red monster with powerful bites. Its fins slashed, drawing black ichor. The red creature writhed, tentacles coiling around the whale's body. "It's got this!" People yelled. "The red one's weakening!"
Hope swelled. People cheered from the outpost. "Finish it!" They started to shout.
But then, in a brutal twist, the red monster surged. It lunged, its worm mouth opening wide. Fangs sank into the whale's neck. A sickening crunch echoed. Blood gushed out, thick and dark, flowing into the sea. The water turned red, a spreading stain under the lights. The whale thrashed, but weakened, its movements slowing.
"No!" Meiling gasped, shock freezing her again.
Everyone else stared in horror. "It's... it's killing it!" A woman stammered. "All that blood... the sea's painted red!"
Another woman covered her mouth. "We lost our chance. That thing's coming for us next!"
The whale let out a final, pained bellow before going limp. The red monster released its grip, the body sinking slowly. Tentacles waved triumphantly as it turned back toward the outpost, eyes glowing with victory.
Meanwhile, atop the Lan headquarters building, a black-haired woman sat calmly, legs dangling over the edge. Beside her lay an unconscious woman, her face peaceful in slumber. An angel hovered nearby, wings faintly glowing, silent and watchful. The black-haired woman watched the scene unfold, her eyes sharp.
"I wanted to find her," she muttered, glancing at the unconscious woman. "But it looks like she wants to find you."
The angel tilted its head but said nothing. Below, the chaos continued, the red monster advancing once more. The woman smiled faintly. "This world is full of surprises. Let's see how Meiling handles her reunion with her sisters. What a memory this is!"

Meanwhile, Ren and Anna stood next to a woman who was held down and forced to kneel by her own servants and guards. Their eyes looked glassy, as if they were hypnotized, staring blankly ahead without any will of their own.
Anna glared at the woman with pure disgust, her fists clenched tight. "Ren let's kill this bitch who thinks she could get away with this."
Ren smiled calmly, his eyes sharp as he tilted his head. "Were you the only one who paid mercenaries to attack the Liberator bases?"
The woman kept her mouth shut, her lips pressed into a thin line. She stared at the ground, refusing to meet their gaze.
Anna snorted. "Stubborn, huh? Fine." She turned her head and locked eyes with one of the hypnotized women nearby, who held a wooden bat in her hands.
Without a word, that woman swung the bat with medium force, slamming it into the kneeling woman's back. The impact echoed in the room, and the woman shouted in pain, a sharp cry that filled the air. Blood seeped through her clothes, staining the fabric red.
"AHHHHHHHH! Stop it!" the woman gasped, her body trembling from the blow.
Ren knelt down in front of her, his smile never fading, but his voice turned low and intimidating. "So, what is it? Answer me, or things get worse."
The woman winced, breathing heavily. "I... I don't know what you're talking about."
Anna laughed coldly. "Oh, really? You think we're stupid? We have proof. Your little schemes with those hired thugs. We know you're part of it, we just want other names, or I'll make sure that bat hits harder next time."
Ren leaned closer, his eyes piercing. "Come on. Were you alone in this? Or did someone else pull the strings? Talk, and maybe we will leave you alone if you snitch about others."
