Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband-Chapter 1573 Girl In An Tian’s Closet
Chapter 1573 Girl In An Tian's Closet
There was a palpable silence on Wen Zac's end. Lu Lian's unexpected question caught him off guard. He shifted his gaze towards his wife, who returned his look with a mixture of anticipation and curiosity, as if she was waiting to hear his response. It made him ponder whether she harbored doubts about his past, whether there had been someone else before her, despite the fact that she was his first and only love.
"We're awaiting your answer," An Tian interjected, breaking the tense silence.
Wen Zac took a deep breath before replying, "My wife, Lanlan."
The words hung in the air, causing a visible shock to register on Lu Lian's face, while Ming Lan felt a wave of disbelief wash over her.
Glancing at Ming Rusheng, Lu Lian sought clarification, and he leaned in to whisper, "Lanlan is the one he confessed to but never received an answer from."
"W--Ummm--?"
Ming Rusheng quickly covered Lu Lian's mouth to prevent her from blurting out a response. "That's the truth," he affirmed quietly.
With Lu Lian composed once more, she turned her attention back to Ming Lan, who was now staring at Wen Zac, her expression unreadable.
"Have you perhaps mistaken the name?" Ming Lan inquired, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Wen Zac shook his head. "No, when I confessed my feelings to you a few years ago, that was my first confession ever."
"You did?" Ming Lan's disbelief was evident. "When?"
Wen Zac felt a twinge of confusion. "You don't remember?"
She shook her head, her expression perplexed. "How could someone forget being confessed to? I don't recall you ever confessing to me."
"Only one question is permitted," An Tian interjected firmly, "Let's adhere to the rule. Lanlan can ask her question when it's her turn."
Ming Lan pursed her lips tightly, her thoughts consumed by the memory of when exactly Wen Zac had confessed to her a few years back.
Meanwhile, Ming Rusheng and Lu Lian exchanged uncertain glances, puzzled by the tension between the couple.
"Are you certain he confessed?" Lu Lian inquired, seeking clarification.
Ming Rusheng nodded solemnly. "I was there when he did."
"Huh? Then does your sister have a goldfish memory?" Lu Lian mused with a hint of amusement.
"It seems so," Ming Rusheng agreed with a wry smile.
"Now, who will pose the next question?" An Tian interjected, addressing the group. "Except for Ming Lan."
Ming Lan shot him a glare. "Why exclude me?"
"You've already had your chance, but I'm willing to be lenient and grant you another opportunity later," An Tian replied calmly.
"It's my turn," Lu Feng declared, directing his gaze at An Tian. "What's the scene with that girl in your home in England?"
"She's a temporary resident in need of shelter," An Tian responded evenly.
"Then it's my turn," Jiang Yang chimed in, also fixing his gaze on An Tian. "Do you intend to grant her permanent residency in your home, possibly even allowing her to take your last name?"
"Not permanently, but she's already using my last name to avoid trouble," An Tian explained calmly. "I'm simply assisting her out of kindness, as Jake and Jessica pleaded with me to help their friend."
"Whoa, that's quite the explanation," Ming Rusheng interjected with a hint of skepticism. "I can't help but feel there's something fishy going on."
"She's already using his last name, so what's there to be suspicious about?" Wen Zac chimed in. "To me, everything seems straightforward."
"If any of you have the time, feel free to step forward and lend her a hand," An Tian countered calmly as he took a sip of his wine. "But you'll need to act fast, as she might not be around for long."
"No one here is single enough to offer her their last name," Jiang Yang teased, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. "You're the perfect candidate to be used by a girl in need."
"Anyways he is too old now. A man as old as him, is nothing but meant to be used by a young girl," Ming Rushing added.
"Regardless, I'm not that old, only a couple of years older than you guys," An Tian retorted.
"Trying to prove yourself young all a sudden? Seems like presence of young girl has made wonders," Wen Zac teased. "Finally there is a girl in An Tian's closet."
"Enough about me, now who's going to ask the next question?" An Tian brushed them off. "Alright, it's my turn..."

While the others were engrossed in their game, Jake had retreated to the rooftop swimming pool, finding solace in the quiet serenity of the starlit sky. As he stood alone, lost in contemplation, he heard the sound of someone else's arrival. Turning to face the newcomer, he found Noah staring back at him.
"I didn't realize you were up here," Noah remarked.
"You're free to roam wherever you please," Jake replied casually. "Did you decide to take a break from the game?"
"I needed some fresh air," Noah responded, preparing to depart. "I'll go find somewhere else."

"Why? Are you afraid of being alone with me?" Jake teased with a smirk.
Noah nearly rolled his eyes. "Don't flatter yourself."
But before Noah could leave, Jake grabbed his hand and pushed him into the pool with a resounding splash. Startled, Noah surfaced, his expression a mixture of shock and anger. "What the hell? What's gotten into you?" freewebnσvel.cøm
Without a word, Jake dove into the water and approached Noah, ignoring his protests. Instead of answering, Jake pressed Noah's shoulder, submerging his face beneath the water.
Panicked, Noah struggled against Jake's grip, his lungs burning for air. Jake released him after a few moments, allowing Noah to surface, coughing and sputtering water. "Asshole," Noah spat between coughs.
But before Noah could recover, Jake repeated the action unexpectedly, catching Noah off guard once more drowning him. Gasping for breath, Noah shot Jake a glare that could have melted steel.
"You asshole, what's gotten into you... Cough Cough!" Noah spluttered, his voice strained.
"Brother Lu Feng once said that drowning in water clears our brains. Mine's already clear, so I was trying to clean yours," Jake retorted. "Maybe it'll help you accept the truth about us."
