Zombie Bodyguard-Chapter 872 - 869 Brothers Gather Together
Chapter 872: Chapter 869 Brothers Gather Together
Xiao Manxue paused for a moment, uttered a soft "hmm," and then continued upstairs, a sweet smile reappearing on her face, but Lin Tian couldn’t see it.
However, as Lin Tian raised his head to watch Miss Xiao naturally sway her slender waist and curves as she ascended the stairs, he felt a particular sensation. After returning to his room, he practiced a little, made a blood sacrifice to enhance the Crescent Blade, and only then did he go to sleep satisfied.
With the college entrance examination over, there was no need to go to school the next day, but Lin Tian was already used to getting up early to train under the morning sun. With the increasing absorption of solar essence, Lin Tian could occasionally sense the power of fire between his brows, indicating that his training over this period had been effective.
On this rare occasion, Xiao Manxuan didn’t come to wake him up, making Lin Tian feel a bit out of place. When he went downstairs, he found out that the Xiao sisters had already left, which meant that Miss Xiao indeed kept her word and completely gave Lin Tian a break.
Feeling bored, Lin Tian took a trip to the Tianxuan Special Guard Base, not only to visit Ghost and the others whom he hadn’t seen for days but also to arrange some work before leaving Xikou City.
However, what Lin Tian called arranging work was merely letting them organize it freely, as he was accustomed to being hands-off and didn’t want to manage too much. Ghost was more familiar with the bodyguard business than he was.
With things sorted at Tianxuan Special Guard, Lin Tian called out the Qi Family father and son to inquire about the situation at Tianfeng Entertainment Company. Since the company’s acquisition by the Qi Family, he hadn’t inquired about its affairs.
For Lin Tian, the Qi Family father and son were now wholeheartedly following him. They were aware of Lin Tian’s abilities, not to mention that Mr. Qi’s life was saved by Lin Tian.
Having once passed through Ghost Gate, Mr. Qi seemed like a completely different person, having shed his profligate habits and became entirely obedient to Lin Tian’s commands.
The day passed just like that. While other senior high school students were indulging in all-night revelries, Lin Tian had already taken care of several major tasks.
Over the next two days, Lin Tian was busy arranging things for his subordinates. Initially, he planned to inspect the production of Tianxue Jewelry and the medicine formula, but later reconsidered, believing that Miss and Mrs. Xiao’s arrangements would ensure no issues arose.
Especially for Tianxue Jewelry, after the auction event, it had also won the championship at the International Jewelry Competition, solidly establishing itself in the gemstone and jewelry industry, increasingly posing a threat to established jewelry brands. Becoming an industry leader was just around the corner.
On the third day after the college entrance examination, Lin Tian visited Elder Zhou and returned home by past seven in the evening, receiving a call from Liu Wenxing midway.
"Brother Tian, I’m leaving Xikou City tomorrow," Liu Wenxing’s slightly excited voice came through.
"Where to? To see your future mother-in-law?" Lin Tian joked, as it seemed only this matter could excite Liu Wenxing so much.
"No, the Xiao Group’s talent nurturing program has officially started, and we are heading abroad. First, we’ll fly to Zhonghai City, and from there, change flights to go overseas," Liu Wenxing explained.
Lin Tian then recalled what Miss Xiao had previously mentioned about recruiting Liu Wenxing, a computer genius, though he hadn’t expected it to be so soon. Nonetheless, it was a good thing for Liu Wenxing.
He was genuinely happy for his good roommate and joked, "When you go abroad, don’t be dazzled by foreign women and let down Miss He Mengxiang."
"Of course not. Those tall foreign women can’t compare to my dear Xiao Meng. Besides, Xiao Meng and I have already agreed that once I return after completing my studies, we will get engaged," Liu Wenxing said earnestly.
"Engaged? I say, Liu Wenxing, even after three years of study, you’ll only be twenty-one. Plus, He Mengxiang would still be in college by then. Is getting engaged during college even allowed?" Lin Tianqi asked curiously.
Liu Wenxing smiled proudly and said, "Hehe, Brother Tian, I know more about this than you. The law allows marriage and having children during college, let alone engagement."
"Is that so? How come I didn’t know about this?" Lin Tian was taken aback, genuinely unaware of such a favorable law, though since Liu Wenxing wouldn’t lie, it wasn’t likely to be false.
"Tonight, we should celebrate. Consider it my send-off for you. Night Rose Bar, I’m coming to pick you up now," Lin Tian said happily.
"Okay, after tomorrow, who knows when we’ll meet again. We indeed should gather," Liu Wenxing admitted with a bit of emotion.
Lin Tian immediately turned around and headed towards the school, as Liu Wenxing was temporarily staying there. After picking up Liu Wenxing, Lin Tian thought that he too was preparing to leave Xikou City, so he decided to call Zhou Botong out as well. The three of them gathered at Night Rose Bar.
Even before Lin Tian’s trio could enter the bar, Lu Jia and Hu Ying were already waiting at the door, welcoming them. This was because Lin Tian had pre-arranged a table, so the two knew he would be coming.
Hu Ying, in a black suit, still looked tall and imposing, and remained respectfully polite towards Lin Tian, while Lu Jia, in a black silk dress, appeared both competent and alluring.
Their spot was on the first-floor hall, as Lin Tian felt the atmosphere was better for reuniting with friends this way.
After Lu Jia and Hu Ying left, Zhou Botong chuckled and said, "Brother Lin Tian, your female subordinate was looking at you quite warmly."
"Brother Zhou, you’re being dramatic. When Brother Tian was in school, the girls were even crazier than this. Brother Tian’s charm doesn’t even need boasting," Liu Wenxing corrected.
"Are you two ganging up to tease me? Let’s see who gets drunk first. Don’t beg for mercy," Lin Tian chuckled.
"Who’s afraid? I’ll go first," Zhou Botong actually grabbed a beer and started drinking.
Halfway through drinking though, Hu Ying returned and interrupted the three’s drinking spree.
"Brother Tian, there are four young men outside saying they’re looking for you," Hu Ying said respectfully.
Four young men? Lin Tian and Liu Wenxing exchanged looks, unable to recall any acquaintances fitting that description.
"Let them in," Lin Tian said.
After Hu Ying went out, he quickly brought four people in, whom Lin Tian indeed recognized—they were the young men who had blocked the road on the first day of the college entrance examination.
The group of small-time hooligans, who should have been more bold in a bar setting, seemed somewhat restrained, but upon seeing Lin Tian, they shifted from restraint to respect.
"Brother Tian, hello. As per your orders, we’ve found out who set the roadblock," the leader of the young men said respectfully.
"Who was it?" Lin Tian asked calmly.
"Sun Decai." The young man looked around and, seeing no one else nearby, answered.
"Haha, indeed it was him. Looks like there’s something I need to do before leaving Xikou City," Lin Tian said with a cold smile.
"Brother Lin Tian, what’s going on?" Zhou Botong asked with a frown.
Lin Tian didn’t hide anything and recounted the car accident and roadblock incident from the day of the college entrance exam.
"Damn!"
"Hell!"
Zhou Botong and Liu Wenxing both swore angrily.
The leading young man stepped forward and flatteringly said, "Brother Tian, I know where Sun Decai is now. I’ve had people watching him all along."
"Oh, very good." Lin Tian smiled faintly and stood up.
