Alice Turner had no idea that Thomas Fisher was currently being interrogated by his parents at home, and his phone had just been left in his room, so he couldn’t hear her call.

"How did you get to know that girl? Are you the reason she and her husband divorced?" Cedric Fisher looked at Thomas Fisher sitting beside him, his gaze sharp.

Thomas Fisher was not intimidated at all and met his father’s sharp gaze, "We knew each other a long time ago. She was forced by her family to marry, they didn’t have any feelings for each other."

He briefly summarized the situation between himself, Alice Turner, and Benjamin Shaw. The matter concerning the three of them was both simple and complex.

"You knew that girl a long time ago? Before she got married?" Cedric Fisher got the implication, staring intently at Thomas Fisher, hoping to glean something from his expression.

Thomas Fisher nodded honestly: "Yes."

He faced his father with a calm expression.

"Did you like her back then?" Cedric Fisher asked one question after another, needing to clarify everything to make a correct decision.

Thomas Fisher nodded again: "Yes, I was moved by her then."

Indeed, he was moved, but unfortunately, he hadn’t seen her face back then; he only felt a flutter of emotion.

"And what about her feelings for you? Did she also..."

"Cedric! Why are you asking in such detail? You wouldn’t be agreeing for Thomas to be with that divorced woman, would you?"

Autumn York couldn’t bear listening anymore to Cedric Fisher’s questions and interrupted him.

She had called him back not to ask questions but to stop their son from being with that divorced woman.

From his mother’s words, Thomas Fisher seemed to glean some information, his eyes brightening a bit compared to before, though it was hardly noticeable, especially since their parents weren’t focusing on his gaze now.

Cedric Fisher glanced at Autumn York, then at Thomas Fisher, and turned back to Autumn York, "I just want to understand the situation between Thomas and that girl; the ultimate decision depends on Thomas."

In matters of their children’s marriages, he felt that parents could offer their opinions but shouldn’t completely control it. He wasn’t a dictatorial parent, nor was he closed-minded.

What was wrong with a divorced woman? As long as she was a good person and had an upright character, he felt those things were unimportant.

"What do you mean by that? Are you really agreeing for Thomas to be with that woman?" Autumn York couldn’t accept this outcome; it wasn’t what she wanted to see.

Compared to Autumn York’s agitation, Cedric Fisher seemed much calmer, "Let’s not rush to conclusions. Let’s wait until everything is clear." Turning his gaze toward Thomas Fisher, he added, "Thomas! When will you bring that girl over? Let us meet her and get to know each other."

He couldn’t make conclusions without meeting her.

"I oppose this! I don’t agree with that woman being with Thomas." Autumn York didn’t even consider it before firmly stating her opposition.
