Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1131: Come With Me to Find That Woman
When Charlotte Shaw rushed out, Isla Lane had already walked toward her car. She instinctively quickened her pace, heading toward her own car and taking the keys from her bag.
Upon hearing the car lock unlock, Isla Lane opened the door and got in. Charlotte Shaw glanced at her and quickly got in from the driver’s side.
"Come with me to find that woman." As soon as Charlotte Shaw sat in the car, Isla Lane tilted her head and said to her.
"Which woman?"
She had just sat down and wasn’t settled yet when she suddenly heard Isla Lane talking to her. She couldn’t immediately react to which woman her mom was referring to.
She froze for a moment, as if realizing who her mom wanted to find, and quickly turned to persuade her: "Mom! Didn’t I say not to meddle in Benjamin and Alice’s affairs? You can’t go looking for Alice, Benjamin will be upset."
Charlotte Shaw thought Isla Lane intended to discuss reconciliation with Alice Turner and, unable to worry if her mom would get angry, she risked rebuke to stop her mom again.
Isla Lane looked at her daughter with displeasure, her face and eyes filled with dissatisfaction, "Who said I was going to find Alice?"
As she spoke, she gave her daughter a sideways glance.
"Then which woman are you going to find?" If not Alice Turner, then who could it be? Charlotte Shaw genuinely didn’t know which woman her mom intended to find, leaving her completely bewildered.
At first, Isla Lane thought Charlotte Shaw was pretending to be confused, but seeing Charlotte’s genuinely puzzled expression, she knew her daughter truly didn’t know.
"That woman with the last name Snow, the one your brother keeps outside behind Alice’s back." If she can’t meddle in her son and daughter-in-law’s affairs, she would deal with that woman. To clear the obstacles to her son’s and daughter-in-law’s reconciliation, she decided to meet that woman.
Upon Isla Lane’s reminder, Charlotte Shaw suddenly remembered her mom mentioning this woman named Snow last night, "What are you planning with her? You’re not thinking of confronting her for Alice’s sake, are you?"
Her mom seemed intent on settling scores, and Charlotte did feel some concern. But thinking of the woman’s threat to her brother Benjamin and Alice’s relationship, her worry was instantly replaced by anger.
"What’s wrong with that? Is there anything wrong? That woman chose to latch onto Benjamin of all people." Isla Lane was indeed going to settle scores with that woman, and at the same time, seek justice for Alice Turner. She wanted to see what makes that woman so special that she could captivate her son.
Charlotte Shaw glanced at the determined Isla Lane. This time, she shared her mom’s thoughts. Sitting comfortably in the driver’s seat, ready to start the car and leave, she suddenly realized a problem, "Mom! Do you know that woman’s address? We can’t just wander blindly in the dark."
She didn’t know the woman’s address or workplace and wondered if her mom did.
"I don’t know her address, but I can call her. I have her number." Isla Lane took out her phone from her bag, found the message Alice Turner sent her last night, and without hesitating for a moment, dialed the number.
After a few rings, Sophie Snow answered the phone, "Hello! Who is this?"
"I’m Benjamin Shaw’s mother, and I’d like to meet you." After identifying herself, Isla Lane straightforwardly stated the purpose of her call.
