Chapter 2292: The hidden truth (5)
"Even if you deny it, it’s not as if it’ll change the truth."
A part of me was actually angry when I heard the God of Creation saying this.
It really felt like the God of Creation was putting down my mother with the way that they were acting.
"It’s not the truth since there’s nothing that supports it. As far as I know, you’re just telling me another lie." I said in a calm voice, but I knew that there was a slight tremble to my voice.
It was impossible for me to completely hold back the feelings that were in my heart.
Though I had lost control like this, it didn’t seem like the God of Creation minded.
In fact, it didn’t seem like there was any emotion that was on her face at all as she stared at me.
Seeing her like this really made me feel like she was almost looking down on me, but it wasn’t as if there was anything that I could say. After all, it really seemed like I had been dancing on the palm of her hand the entire time.
After a long silence, the God of Creation said with a sigh, "There’s proof, it’s just that you’re denying it. There’s no need to reject this, you should just accept everything that has been laid out in front of you."
Taking a deep breath, I calmed down and thought about everything that I had learned so far.
Taking a step back, I asked, "Assuming that all of this is true, what was it that made you decide to send me to the other world?"
There was heavy skepticism that was in my voice when I said this.
It didn’t seem like the God of Creation minded this as she calmly said, "This isn’t something that I can tell you just yet. Until everything is settled, it would be bad for you to learn the truth."
My expression immediately fell upon hearing this.
One moment she was saying that the truth was in front of me and the next, she was saying that I wasn’t ready for the truth.
I didn’t bother saying anything else as I turned to leave.
But the God of Creation suddenly said something that made me stop, "It’s funny how you still act like this when you’re pouting. I remember when you were still a kid and you would always make a fuss when you didn’t get what you wanted."
My brows deeply knit the moment that she said this, but that expression soon disappeared and was replaced with one of shock.
"Remember when you were still five and you threw a tantrum so hard that you hit your head on the fridge? It took a while before I was able to calm you down." The God of Creation said with a faint smile on her face.
The look of reminiscence and fond memories that was on her face was more than enough to show everything.
I was completely stunned because this was something that no one should have known.
It was one of those embarrassing things that one did as a child and was something that no one would know about other than one’s parents.
Though there was a part of me that was still a bit doubtful because she was the God of Creation. For the God of Creation to find out something like this, it should have been easy...
But this wasn’t the only thing that the God of Creation said.
Other than this first embarrassing memory, there were other embarrassing memories that only the two of them would know about. The more that the God of Creation said, the more awkward it was for me until I finally couldn’t take it anymore.
"Enough! Enough! That’s enough already!"
The God of Creation stopped reciting all of the embarrassing things of my past, but the smile on her face didn’t disappear. As she looked at me, it was clear what she was thinking.
"How do you know all of these things?" I asked, but I really wasn’t looking for an answer.
The smile didn’t disappear from the God of Creation’s face.
Instead of answering the question, she just looked like she was about to start saying more embarrassing things. So before she could actually do that, I said, "Alright, alright, I believe you, I believe you."
In the end, the God of Creation didn’t say anything else as she just looked at me with the same smile on her face.
As I looked at the God of Creation, it really felt like there was some kind of feeling that I couldn’t describe filling me.
After a while, I finally asked, "What happened to that world after I died?"
"It continued on like normal, but there were two less people in it." The God of Creation said without any fluctuations in her voice.
"Then why did you send me there?"
This time, the God of Creation didn’t answer.
I had been hoping that I would catch her off guard, but it seemed like that wasn’t the case. Even if this was a large revelation, it wasn’t as if the God of Creation would be caught off guard that easily.
Instead of answering this, the God of Creation just said, "You’re my child, I only want the best for you."
A strange look appeared on my face after hearing this.
It still was hard for me to believe what she was saying, but it was hard to deny that there was this familiar feeling that came from her. Even if I wanted to deny it, it really was hard when she gave me this proof.
"So what do you want me to do? Why did you bring me to this world just to take care of the God of Destruction?"
"It’s what you have to do as the next God of Creation. You’re my child, so of course you’ll be taking over for me when the time comes."
