The clients that the store manager brought me to see were all females.

They were of different ages, but every one of them could be considered rich and powerful.

If they were able to bring their products into Haley’s mall, then they certainly weren’t normal people.

That mall only contained choice products that had been approved by Haley herself, so the companies that dealt with her company were anything but normal. All of these companies were powerful companies that could take over a city’s economy all on their own.

For me to be brought along, it was clear what I was being used for.

"Am I supposed to be a gigolo?" I couldn’t help thinking to myself in a bitter tone.

As if to confirm this, the store manager suddenly said, "Please pour another drink for the madam."

Seeing the eager look in her eyes, I really had no choice but to listen to the store manager.

But it was certainly funny that the king of this kingdom was actually being treated in such a way.

Or rather, I was surprised that Haley used this kind of tactic in her company.

Though this might just be the work of the store manager alone, this wasn’t something that I was certain of.

As if it was something that was already expected, I could sense the hand of this woman moving when I approached her. There was no doubt that she was going to do something that she shouldn’t do.

However, it didn’t seem like the store manager was going to do anything to stop her.

With the way that he turned a blind eye, it really seemed like he was letting her do whatever she wanted.

So in the end, I would have to turn the other cheek.

Or that was what I thought until the door opened all of a sudden and someone unexpected appeared.

Though with the way that she acted, perhaps this wasn’t a sudden appearance at all.

"Oh, it seems like I’ve walked into something interesting." Haley had a smile on her face, but it didn’t seem like that smile reached her eyes. It felt like there was a chill that ran down the spines of anyone that looked into those eyes.

Even the store manager seemed to feel this chill for a moment before he calmed himself down.

However, there was no stopping the trace of surprise and confusion from flashing in the store manager’s eyes.

He didn’t think that Haley would have this kind of reaction.

With a cough, the madam that had been reaching out put her hand down before saying, "President Haley really came at just the right time."

It didn’t seem like they were going to explain what they had been doing.

It was as if they were going to treat this as if it was just something that was normal.

This was the same for everyone that was in the room with us.

All of them were presidents of large companies, so it wasn’t as if this was an issue for them. They certainly had enough power to suppress things like this without leaking a single thing.

They didn’t think that Haley would raise any trouble for a small matter like this.

But it turned out that they were wrong.

"What deals do we currently have with them?"

This time, the store manager didn’t seem surprised that Haley had asked this and swiftly gave her a report of everything.

The clients seemed surprised and confused to hear this, but they didn’t react at all.

It wasn’t as if it was a bad thing for the store manager to report this.

In fact, having the store manager report this was a reminder of the business that they had with Haley’s company. Or it was better to say that it was a reminder of how important they were to the mall.

But before they could react, Haley suddenly said, "Let’s cut these deals. There’s no need to worry about compensation, just end them."

When the clients heard this, they couldn’t help revealing stunned looks.

Then as they recovered, they just looked like they had no idea what was happening with how they looked at each other.

There wasn’t a single one of them that had expected Haley to say this.

"Do you really think that you can offend all of us like this?" One of them finally said in a low and cold voice.

The others had expressions on their face as if they supported what this client had said.

But it didn’t seem like Haley cared at all as she revealed a proper smile this time. Though in this smile, there was a bit of a taunting tone as well as if she was daring them to bite her.

It really didn’t seem like Haley cared at all that they were threatening her like this.

Instead she just calmly said, "Seeing the way that you treat our employees, it doesn’t seem like there would be a difference with how you would treat your products. Since that’s the case, there really is no need for us to continue our business."

"You!" The clients all looked like they wanted to say something else, but they held themselves back in the end.

That was just the position that Haley held in the Kite Kingdom, so they couldn’t say anything to her. But the looks on their faces showed that they were already planning their revenge.

Haley didn’t care as she waved her hand at the store manager.

The store manager gave a nod to me and we both followed her out.

The way that they moved was as if they had already coordinated all of this beforehand.

But if that was the case, that meant that they were already planning on offending these people.

It really didn’t make any sense why they would do something like that.

Though that was only from the perspective of me and I was someone that didn’t know much about Haley’s business.

If there was one thing that I could be certain of, it would be that Haley knew what she was doing.
