Even if she breaks up with her current men, she will still continue to find those she likes and date them, and the cycle will continue like that.

That honesty from the beginning makes things easier for everyone. She doesn’t cheat but openly dates others. If they don’t feel comfortable, they bow out. It was that simple.

However, for that to happen, there should be some backing. Otherwise, how can a pauper, a woman who was struggling and being raised by someone else has the guts to utter such nonsense? Wont you just be seeking to be mocked at by others?

Which is why she finished by telling Penny, "I can be willful like that, all because I am a woman of power. I have what it takes to play like a tyrant. So, fearing to lose, haha, its only his loss and not mine!"

Penny was at a loss after hearing that. She sat there, silent, digesting what Diamond had just spoken. She wanted to retort but when she thought hard about what has been said, she closed her eyes, feeling her heart in so much pain.

The comparison was truly painful, and it made her realize why some women out there were always waking with their heads high, and oozing so much confidence.

She used to feel superior because she landed Russ, the man who was coveted by many. And yet just listening to Diamond made her realize that deep down she was still inferior. She didn’t have what it takes to play the tyrant, and unlike Diamond who didn’t fear to lose anything, she has a lot to lose.

Suddenly, she felt immense regret. Why did she have to be curious to ask this woman about this? Now see what has been done?

Diamond didn’t open her mouth to say anything at this moment but simply took out her phone to look at it to see what was what.

When Penny gets it, she would continue to have a chat.

Waiting for Penny, Diamond scrolled through her social media, came across some funny moments which made her smile.

Time passed, and after a while, she heard Penny finally talking, "Diamond, if you are in a marriage, not a happy one, but with a child. What will you do?" asking a question that nearly stunned her.

What the heck was she talking about?

Was she actually talking about herself right now?

She hasn’t met Russ in person yet, but from what she has gathered, this marriage was tricky. That’s why when she first saw Penny, she felt pity towards the other. After all, in this marriage Penny was at a disadvantage. One can imagine how tough her life must be.

But was she really certain that she wanted to hear an answer from her?

She wasn’t someone who took others into consideration when it comes to her belief. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

With that in mind, she asked Penny directly, "are you sure that you can take it?" baffling Penny into gaping, before continuing, "I can be quite frank and the answers might not be that optimistic."

Penny then realized what Diamond was meaning with her words earlier. She showed an expression of realization before gritting her teeth nodding, "Um, just tell me. I need you to be honest."

And that brought a smile to Diamond’s face.

"Hehe, then let me share with you something that I believe most of the women out there would rip my throat for if I say out loud."

And that response made Penny’s heart thump nervously. She couldn’t be thinking of telling her something absurd, right?

Unfortunately, her inkling was on point, as she was about to hear something that would make her mother or grandmother blow her top off. What kind of absurd advice was this?

"You have to know and understand a few principles. Of course, that’s what I think though I believe that you will find it absurd, but I literally don’t care about anyone’s thoughts. I care about mine and that’s what is important," she amusedly spoke, settling herself in a comfortable position before continuing, "In my own view, after I become my parents’ daughter, I become me, Diamond. A whole human being with needs and rights.

As a human being, I have the right to love, to be loved, to be happy, and a lot of things. I deserve that as a human being. If I can’t be happy, then what is the use of being alive?"

Just listening to that, Penny’s face had dark lines. Where was this going?

"When I have a child, I become that child’s mother, but still, I remain myself. That human being with rights and needs. As a parent, I know that I have the obligation to raise my child and provide a happy environment for her or him, but if I am not happy, where am I supposed to get that happy environment from?"

Diamond truly appreciates the sacrifices that her parents made because of her. She also knows that they were probably very happy to do so. After all, as orphans with no other family relatives, having her meant that they could continue their legacy and lineages. For bringing her into this world, she will forever be grateful.

In the future, she will do her duties as a mother and raise her children well as well.

However, her point here lies in something that others don’t usually take seriously and just brush over it. This is especially more on the women’s side.

Being a mother is tough, and most of the time, they are underappreciated. It starts from the in-laws, goes to the husband and then get passed down the younger generations. That’s more so for those stay-at-home mothers.

No one appreciate the hard work that they do on a daily basis. All because they don’t bring a paycheck at the end of the day. They all say that she didn’t do anything but do those women ever rest?

They have to tolerate their in-laws, then the abusive husband, who is either beating her or cheating on her. On top of that they had to raise the children facing all that, and continue to be in the marriage simply because they must give their children a full home.

A full home? Tche, you must be kidding.
