Sovereign of the Ashes
Chapter 1755: Maintenance Facilities
The war in the Shadowbat Star Domain lasted a full two years.
In that short span, the Shadowbat Star Domain reclaimed the vast majority of its lost territory. This was an almost unthinkable pace under normal circumstances.
The Gallant Federation had withdrawn all its forces from the Shadowbat Star Domain. Rumors claimed they had established new defensive lines across the Arid Expanse Worlds.
Following this decisive battle, the remnant forces of the Arid Expanse Worlds were virtually wiped out.
It was worth noting that not all powerhouses of Arid Expanse World were the Gallant Federation’s lackeys.
Several Rank Four and Rank Five creatures on the battlefield were clearly being controlled by the federation through specialized technological devices.
Had the Magus Civilization powerhouses been willing to lend a hand, it might have been possible to subdue and recruit them.
Unfortunately, in the brutal reality of war, few had any interest in pursuing such an effort.
Creatures of the Magus Alliance needed sufficient resources to plunder, while the Magus Civilization’s powerhouses were focused on establishing swift and absolute dominance on the battlefield.
To them, those Rank Four and Rank Five creatures of Arid Expanse World were nothing more than high-grade specimens or sources of rare divine relics or biological cores.
No one showed much kindness on the battlefield.
It was a shame that this was how Arid Expanse World met its end.

Mountain Sea Plane...
This was a low-level plane dominated by hydro and geo elemental forces.
Oceans covered nearly sixty percent of its surface, while the land bore a pale blue hue, giving the entire plane an azure-tinged appearance.
With the war recently concluded, vast quantities of metal debris lay buried beneath the battlefield.
Most of it consisted of wrecked Gallant Federation metal fortresses and self-propelled artillery, with the occasional remains of crashed warships or colossal mobile suits scattered along the fringes of the battlefield.
At present, the primary force responsible for cleanup operations on this plane was the Huusian Legion under Sein’s command.
Since both daughters of the Huusian King were his wives, Sein often extended special consideration to the Huusians.
The Huusian clan’s combat strength was mediocre, far inferior to the Klytherans or the Shadowbat Civilization, but their greatest strength lay in their unwavering loyalty.
Moreover, after drifting through the stars for countless millennia, the Huusians had developed an innate talent for scavenging.
Amidst the war-torn Mountain Sea Plane, the Huusians managed to scavenge large quantities of useful materials and valuable spoils of war.
The vast majority of these war profits would inevitably be handed over to the Magus Civilization.
From there, the proceeds would be divided, with portions allocated to Sein, his grandmaster and others, and the Magus Alliance. In the end, less than one-tenth would be left to the Huusians.
Although this was a meager share, the Huusians still found it immensely rewarding.
Among the Magus Alliance forces operating on the surrounding battlefields, many actually envied the Huusians!
Plenty would have gladly fought for the opportunity to clean up this battlefield.
Had the Huusians not shared close ties with Sein, they would never have secured such a favorable arrangement.
Outside Mountain Sea Plane, Sein gazed down at the bustling Magus Civilization legions below, his thoughts clearly elsewhere.
All surrounding planes that had once belonged to the Shadowbat Civilization, including this one, had been fully reclaimed.
Most of these planes had been badly ravaged, and many were utterly destroyed after the Gallant Federation extracted their Star Cores.
Even so, no further wars would break out within the Shadowbat Civilization’s borders.
The Gallant Federation simply lacked the resources to reignite conflict here.
Standing not far from Sein, Beatrice quietly observed him, convinced that he was considering the next stage of the war.
The question of advancing toward the Arid Expanse Worlds or the Aquaria Star Domain had divided the Magus Civilization legions in this region into two camps.
The overwhelming majority leaned toward the Arid Expanse Worlds, where the abundance of planes and the near destruction of its native legions made it prime ground for plundering resources.
A smaller group, however, argued that even though Orven’s legion had withdrawn to its home star domain, the Gallant Federation was paying far less attention to the Aquaria Star Domain than to the Arid Expanse Worlds.
Reports further indicated that the Grand Apocalypse World had begun reinforcing its forces in the Arid Expanse Worlds more and more frequently.
From an offensive standpoint, Planet Aquaria might actually be the easier target to crack right now.
Ever since Sein saved her and her mother, Beatrice’s attitude toward him had changed completely.
Of course, it was also possible that Sein’s strength and growing influence within the Magus Alliance had earned him no small amount of goodwill.
Beatrice was no longer the young deity who had first ventured into the Astral Realm, willing to go to any lengths for the Blue Star Civilization.
The upheavals in Marvelous Plane, along with her recent experiences, had pushed her into a phase of rapid growth.
It was not that Beatrice had become snobbish; she simply weighed matters more carefully than before.
As her mother had repeatedly advised, cultivating a relationship with Sein offered immense benefits, both for the future development of Marvelous Plane and for Beatrice’s own growth.
This was evident from the female knights who had long served by Sein’s side, as well as Kram, the Klytheran warrior.
Reina and the others had recently advanced to Rank Four, and back then, Kram’s strength had been comparable to Beatrice’s.
Yet in such a short time, Beatrice could already sense that she was no longer a match for her, and this gap would only continue to widen.
Her curiosity toward Sein deepened further.
In truth, Beatrice was overthinking it. Sein was not even thinking about the broader course of the war, nor was he brooding over the devastated plane below.
His attention was focused entirely on what was happening inside the Magic Cube.
Shortly after the war ended, Fermera delivered several severely damaged angel robots along with multiple black boxes to Sein.
Both of them intended to use the Magic Cube and the Energy Amethyst it produced to repair the damaged robots.
As for the black boxes, there was no immediate solution. Sein had not yet obtained access to the Gallant Federation’s Icarus Group’s robotic production lines.
However, when he stored the damaged robots and black boxes inside the Magic Cube, he was stunned to discover that even without precise blueprints, the cube had spontaneously designed and generated numerous maintenance facilities for these angel robots.
These facilities were built within the Magic Cube’s Mechanical Space. Although the repair technology itself appeared rather crude, its development was steady and showed clear promise.
The appearance of these maintenance facilities prompted Sein to consider whether he might one day seize a Gallant Federation robot production line and implant it directly into the cube’s Mechanical Space.
Lorianne had created the World Laboratory and cultivated a vast legion of plant giants. This allowed her to conveniently “scatter beans to create soldiers” on most battlefields.
As her apprentice, Sein had obtained the Magic Cube and developed a Mechanical Space. When the time came, he too could summon a massive legion of formidable combatants with a single wave of his hand. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
At least in this regard, the mentor and her apprentice were much alike.
